Kai didn’t know if he should be honored or annoyed. He already hated being known as the hero back in Sarkylla; now that title crossed over with him to this place as well. It was nice that they recognized him in such a way, but now, he sighed at what people would see of him.
’Gotta be a hero all over again. Fuck, man. I’ll have a little chat with that goddess!’ Kai cursed in his head.
"Please rise. I may be the hero in a foreign land, but I am no hero here. You do not need to show the sa respect as you would show your hero here."
"Nonsense! You are a servant of a goddess at the highest caliber! You deserve respect, even if you aren’t from this land." The saintess bowed one more.
’Bitch! Just stand up! Do you see how these people are looking at ?!’
Kai walked over to the saintess and helped her to her feet. "I understand your words, and I am thankful, but please, stand. Have so food and drinks, and enjoy yourselves at this banquet."
"If that is what you wish. However, I must relay a ssage to you."
Kai nodded. He assud the goddess here wanted to speak to him.
"Since we are not at a temple, the goddess ordered to give you this divine orb so she may speak with you in person. Are you available at this mont?" The saintess asked
"I am." Kai grabbed the orb from the saintess’s hands, and a blue energy surrounded his body, teleporting him to a divine realm.
The divine realm of this land’s goddess looked similar to Gracia’s own. The only difference was that there was a lot of water. The whole divine realm was a huge body of water with one piece of land in the middle that had a temple on it.
Kai could feel the divine energies of this place, as it felt similar to the ti he was speaking with Gracia.
"Now, where is she?"
"Behind you."
Kai turned around after hearing a lovely voice, but he saw no one. Then, his eyes spotted sothing swimming really fast in the water, coming his way.
Before hitting the land Kai was standing on, a woman erged from the water, her upper half bare, her large breasts on display, and her lower half a long blue fish tail akin to a rmaid. She had gills on her neck, and her eyes and hair color were Icy blue.
"Hello, handso." She greeted him.
"I think I already like you more than Gracia." He smiled
"Fufu, that’s great to hear. I’m sure she won’t be happy to learn that, though." She swam out of the water, her tail turning to legs, and the water on her body transforming into a white toga. She waved her hand, and a pool of water rippled until it ford a seat for her to sit on. Well, more like a beach chair.
"My na is Aquaphina, goddess of Eridani, the land of Waves."
"So this place is the Eridani Kingdom?"
"That’s correct."
"I see. Well, first, I want to thank you for allowing us to travel into your kingdom. I know that each continent is closed off for a reason, and you didn’t have to let in." He bowed to show her respect.
"Fufu, anything for a cutie like you. Besides, my little sister begged to let you in, and I couldn’t say no to her."
Kai’s eyes widened. "You guys are sisters?"
"Yup. All of us goddesses are." She nodded
"And the demon kings?"
"They’re all siblings as well. But the gods and demon kings aren’t related. But we were created by the sa person."
"My father?" Kai asked
Aquaphina shifted uncomfortably as she rembered that Kai was Leo’s son.
"Y-Yes. To an extent."
"Explain."
"Well, we were born a long, long ti ago..."
"In a galaxy far, far away?" He interrupted her.
"Huh?"
"Nothing."
"A-Anyway. We were born during the ti when the progenitor had his children help him craft the universe, or at least this one. One of his kids made us. And before you go and ask if we’re related, we’re not. Your sibling was like a blacksmith while we gods were the sword."
Kai nodded. "That makes sense. You must be old as fuck then. All of my siblings are dead."
"Wait, really? Gracia was talking about that sowhat, but I didn’t really get what she ant. I knew that so vanished, but I never knew why. How are they dead? No being should be able to kill them."
"They were just too much to deal with, and they tried to take over the universe."
Aquaphina chuckled. "Yeah, that sounds like them. I’m glad they’re..." She turned to her side to see Leo sitting on a chair, eating popcorn.
"P-P-P-P-P-PROGENITOR!"
"Yo, it’s been a while, hasn’t it?"
"Great, this guy’s here." Kai rolled his eyes.
"That’s no way to talk to your fath-ooooof!"
"Ha! This is the benefit of being in my real body, I can slash water in your face!" Kai charged up another water ball, but then a massive wave of water blocked out the sun and ca crashing down on him.
"Oh yeah! Knock out! Leo one, Kai Zero! Get on my level!"
Aquaphina couldn’t believe her eyes. Everything Gracia said was true. The way Kai speaks to Leo, the way Leo treats him, and the way they interact with each other. It’s as if they were best friends. This isn’t the progenitor that she rembers.
The progenitor she knows is a no-nonsense man. A god once begged him to save his world, but instead of doing it, Leo was so disappointed with the god that he simply wiped out that entire universe, then recreated it.
But now, he’s having water fights with his only remaining child, and Kai isn’t even a divine being.
Kai got hit with a face full of water so hard that he got sent flying into the ocean. "Ahhhhhhhhh!"
"Oh shit!" Leo waved his hand and brought him back
"O-Okay! You win! Stop splashing !"
Leo grinned. "At least you know who’s the boss and who’s not!"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. What are you doing here anyway?"
"Just wanted to pop on by and surprise....."
"Aquaphina." She said.
"And surprise Aquaphina here. Besides, this is my first ti seeing you on a new continent. It’s so exciting, right?! Seeing each other?"
"No, not really." Kai shook his head.
"Brat! Anyway, I’ll be on my way."
"Don’t trip on your way out!" Kai shouted as he flicked him off.
"Fuck you!"
"Right back at you!"
Leo vanished.
"Heh, dads, am I right?" Kai chuckled.
