Every day felt the sa. The sa boring lectures, sa boring school, sa boring routine, and the sa boring people. Vanessa wanted more. She wanted to go on an adventure, fight against monsters, and travel all over the continent. She wanted a free life.
This didn’t an she disliked learning about magic at the Royal Academy; it simply ant that she wished the Royal Academy had more outings where classes would get real-world experience, like the Hero Academy.
She loved her ti hunting in Hearthwood. She loved researching plants in the wild. And most of all, she missed Kai.
It had been months since she had last seen him, since they last had sex, and she wanted him more and more every day. She couldn’t stop thinking about him, about their night together, the feeling of ecstasy he gave her.
Vanessa caught herself drooling over the thought of her prince charming.
"Hey, did you hear?"
"Hear what?"
"About that sexy adventurer who’s been making a na for himself lately."
"Ohh! That guy! Yeah! I heard he was an A-Rank when he arrived in the city, and then, he completely turned the tides of battle when that Necromancer attacked, and now he’s an S-Rank!"
"Right! Not only that, but I heard that he’s only been an Adventurer for about four months! Before that, he was a hunter who hunted all the primal beasts!"
’A hunter, huh? Reminds of Kai. He told he wanted to hunt the primal beasts before becoming an adventurer. I wonder if he managed to complete that task.’ Vanessa thought to herself as she lay in her arms on her school desk.
"Isn’t he from Hearthwood or sothing? Pretty humble place to start his adventure."
’Huh, Kai is from Hearthwood as well."
"What was that hottie’s na again? Ken?"
"No, it was Karl."
"Karl? Nah, no sexy man is nad Karl."
"That’s true."
"Oh! It was Kai!"
"That’s right! Kai! What a sexy na."
"Kai?!" Vanessa slamd her hands on her desk and stood up while looking at the two girls who were gossiping about Kai.
Everyone turned to her with confused expressions.
"Ahem, sorry." She sat back down.
’Are they talking about the Kai I know? My Kai? He’s here? B-But he would have told , right?’ She shook her head. ’He probably doesn’t even know where I am. I need to calm down.’
A bit later, school let out, and Vanessa left her classroom.
"H-Hey, Vanessa."
She looked at the person who called her and rolled her eyes.
"Hey, Allen. What do you want now?" She continued walking, not sparing a mont to stop for him.
He quickly caught up with her. "I-I just wanted to know if you are available tonight. There’s going to be a teor shower and I wanted to watch it with you."
She was about to decline, but then thought about her answer for a little bit. ’Maybe I can wish for Kai to co see . Or is that a shooting star? h, sa thing.’
"Sure, I can join you." She nodded.
"Yes! Okay, cool. I’ll start planning!" He ran off.
"Kyaaa!"
"He’s so handso!"
"Oh my gosh! I can’t believe I’m seeing him in person!"
"Look at the girls around him. They’re beautiful!"
"Pfft, I bet I can steal them from him."
"Dude, even a fish is better looking than you."
’Who’s over there that’s making them go crazy?’ Vanessa pushed through the crowd to see who was there, and the mont she saw who was making all the girls go crazy, her heart skipped a beat.
"KAI!"

[Half an hour before Kai arrives at the Royal Avademy]
"You want to go to the Royal Academy? Why? I thought we were joining the Hero Academy." Kyana said as she practiced with her new bow.
"No, I’m not joining it, I want to et a friend there." Kai corrected her.
Gwen squinted her eyes and poked his cheek. "Is this friend a girl?"
"Yeah. I t her before you all." He could sll the jealousy on her.
"Tsk, fine. I’ll allow it only because you t her first." She pouted.
"Anyone want to co? We can go shopping later."
After hearing the word ’shopping’, all of them stood up and prepared to leave.
"Hurry up, I have things to buy!"
"I was looking at this at they had at the marketplace the other day..."
"I think I need to get so more makeup."
Kai couldn’t help but laugh at all of them.
On the way to the Academy, Kai and his Party were greeted by tons of people, most of whom they didn’t even know.
"Hey, it’s Kai! How’s it going, man!"
"Oh my gosh, Gwen, I love your hair."
This was slightly surprising since they didn’t know that a lot of people knew them. Sure, they were well known around the Hunter and Adventurer communities, but among the populace? Not so much.
Kyana, on the other hand, knew exactly why.
"The necromancer incident."
"Ahh." That was all they needed to know.
After getting directions to the Royal Academy from a woman who was clearly infatuated with Kai, they made their way over there. Kai let a clone stay behind so he could have fun with the woman.
When they arrived, school was letting out, and a bunch of students were leaving the building. There were students as young as twelve and as old as 18 leaving the place, all in human years, of course. It wouldn’t be surprising if a 30-year-old elf was there because, in human years, they would be like 15 or sothing. Kai didn’t know the exact conversion.
’I’ll have to ask Kyana about this later.’
They waited on a bench that was long enough to fit all of them until Kai spotted who he was looking for. He assud everything would go smoothly, but he underestimated his newfound popularity.
"I-Is that Kai?" A girl pointed to him.
"OH. MY. GOSH. IT’S KAI!"
"Kyaaaaaa!"
Tons of the older girls flocked to him like moths to a fla, shooving their boobs in his face and trying their best to feel his skin.
The guys were also excited to see Kai as well, but they were really there to ogle at his won, sothing that his girls did not care for. So, they scared most of them off with their aura. The ones do didn’t run away started shivering with fear.
"K-Kai, can I have your autograph?"
"Can you kiss ?"
"I’ll have your babies!"
"C-Can I get your number?"
’Number? What the fuck? They have phones here?’ But the girl was actually talking about his age.
"Oh, I’m 18." He replied.
"KYAAAAAA!"
"He’s our age!"
"I want to marry you!"
Although Kai liked the attention, he was getting annoyed and stood up to leave. That was when he heard a familiar voice call out to him.
"KAI?!"
Turning around, he saw the beautiful face of Vanessa, who stared at him in shock.
"Vanessa! It’s good to see you again!"
