Five people dressed in white and gold with a golden sun insignia on their attire marched through the roads of Hearthwood. Two knights, a paladin, and two nuns attempted to make their way to Kai’s house to see if they could find any answers about his whereabouts, but they didn’t know where he lived exactly, so they decided to go to the adventurers’ guild to ask questions.
The five of them walked with elegance, pride, and power. People stood out of their way and bowed to show their respect as the church was not only highly influential, but they were the ones who enacted their goddess’s will.
"Holy shit! That’s a paladin!"
"Those are nuns from the church of Gracia!"
"Mommy! I want to be a knight like him when I grow up!"
After arriving at the adventurers’ guild, everyone stopped what they were doing to look at the five church mbers who walked into their domain.
"Check them out." Soone said.
"What’s the church doing here?"
"That nun is hot. You think she’ll let hit?"
The knight cleared his throat and spoke up. "Ahem. Greetings everyone, I’m sure it’s a surprise seeing us here today, but do not worry, we are here simply to find soone. Do any of you know a man nad Kai LuForia?"
At first, no one knew who they were talking about as they had never heard the na LuForia before. Sure, they knew of a Kai, but the Kai they knew didn’t have a surna according to their knowledge.
Seeing how no one knew what the knight was talking about, the paladin started to explain Kai’s appearance. His eye color, height, muscle mass, and so on.
Collectively, everyone realized that the Kai the Church of Gracia was talking about was the Kai they knew, but instead of answering, they all grabbed their weapons and prepared to attack.
"What does the church want with our pal Kai? You tryna kill him?" A man asked, his hand on his axe.
"If you think you can co here and get information out of us to arrest Kai, then you’re out of luck. Go sowhere else." A woman said.
"Amazing! Sir Kai has already left a positive impression on these people!" One of the knights exclaid.
"Please, fret not. We’re not here to arrest Sir Kai. In fact, we’re here to invite him to The Church of Gracia. I don’t know if you guys have gotten the news, but Kai has recently pulled out the Hero’s sword. He’s the new hero." One of the nuns announced.
"Say what now?!"
"Little Kai did that?"
"He’s the hero?"
"Haha! Holy shit!"
"I knew that kid would be soone special, but I never expected him to beco the next hero!"
"You should have started with that, man. Co, ask any question you want!" The axe man said, dropping his weapon.
"W-Well, we simply wish to know where he lives." The paladin inford them.
"Hmm. Well, I don’t know where he lives, but he has a wife who works in the hunters’ guild. Her na is Mary. You should ask her."
"Thanks. You all have been helpful. May Gracia bless your day." They left for the Hunter’s Guild.
After arriving there, they asked for Mary, and one of the workers went to get her.
"Did soone call for ?" She asked, slowly walking down the stairs with her hand resting on her pregnant belly.
"Oh, she’s pregnant." One of the nuns said softly.
"Yes, are you one of Kai Luforia’s wives?" The paladin asked.
"I-I am. Is sothing wrong?" She had a worried expression on her face, but she knew that if sothing bad happened, Kai’s power would protect her.
"No, nothing is wrong. May we chat with you? It’s about your husband."
She looked at the five of them, then nodded her head. "Please, follow ." She then turned to one of the workers. "Can you tell my father I’m going ho?"
"Sure thing."
Martha led them to the house. She had telepathically spoken with Kai to get his permission, and he said that she was free to speak with them and even invite them back to their ho. He just asked her not to tell them where he was, which she had no plans of doing anyway.
"Oh, Martha, you’re back already?" Linda wondered as she opened the door for her. "And I see you brought company."
"Y-Yeah." She smiled wryly,
Mary was also ho since she was having a sick day. This ant that all of Kai’s girls who decided to stay in Hearthwood were present.
"Nice to et you four. I’m assuming you all are Kai’s wives?" The paladin asked. He looked at all of them and noticed that they, too, were pregnant.
"We are. And what are you here for?" Laura wondered.
"We wish to know if you all are aware of Kai being the hero?"
They all looked at each other, then back at the church mbers.
"We do. He told us himself." They admitted.
"Great! Does this an you know where he is?" One of the nuns asked, an excited expression forming on her face.
"I-I’m sorry, but we do not. The last ti I heard, he was leaving Ashenfall to go back on his adventure." Mary admitted.
"Adventure?" A knight asked.
"Yes. Kai was a hunter who slayed all the Primal beasts before becoming an adventurer. His goal was to beco an S-Rank adventurer, then enroll in the hero academy. He said that he would slay evil during his journey since he was now the hero."
Laura piggybacked off of what Mary was saying. "Because of this, we don’t know where he currently is. The last thing I rember him saying was that Marenford was on his list to visit."
The Paladin nodded. "Thank you for your ti. We will be on our way. I pray that you all have a safe pregnancy and birth."
"Thank you for your kind words." Martha smiled.
"May Gracia bless you all."
After leaving Kai’s ho, the knight pulled out a communication device to contact the saintess.
"Unfortunately, Kai wasn’t here, and his wives don’t know his whereabouts either." They went on to explain everything they learned.
"I see. Co back to the church. Hopefully, the team we sent to Ashenfall can give us better news."
