Chapter 784: Chapter 784: Oh, I Understand Now

He had no choice but to rush their master to the tavern before those two ladies left.

Inside the tavern.

Looking at the whole table of roasted chickens, all neatly packed away, Sui Ziyou couldn’t help but twitch the corner of her mouth.

“Sister-in-law, what do you need so many roasted chickens for?”

“Eat.”

Lin Caisang stated it as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

“Don’t you think the taste of this roasted chicken is really good? We rarely get such delicious roasted chicken, so naturally we should pack so to take ho, let the folks at ho have a taste too.”

“The roasted chicken is delicious.”

Sui Ziyou didn’t deny this, as she used to often send people to this tavern to have this roasted chicken. The reason why this tavern could beco the top tavern in Shaohua City was because of this famous far and wide roasted chicken.

But, buying so many roasted chickens to take ho; is that really alright?

“But…sister-in-law, how do we carry all this ho?”

“Isn’t it simple?” Lin Caisang shrugged her shoulders.

Just toss them into the Jinzhu space later, and that’s that.

“If there’s free food to eat, not eating it would be stupid.”

Sui Ziyou: “…”

How did this beco free food? This stuff costs actual money.

“Sister-in-law, are you planning to dine and dash?” she asked.

Even a prince would have to pay before leaving this tavern. Her sister-in-law apparently planned to leave after eating without paying a single piece of silver?

“Who said? Am I that kind of person?” Lin Caisang asked, tossing a chicken leg bone onto the table.

“Then you…oh, I see.”

Without finishing her sentence, she had already figured it out.

Because, she saw a group of people carrying a soft palanquin coming from the east side of the road.

“If I had known earlier, I wouldn’t have ordered so little. I should’ve ordered more variety.”

As long as soone pays, it’s good to eat more. The money from the National Teacher’s Mansion isn’t earned from nothing. It’s a waste not to spend it.

“Overeating isn’t good for digestion,” Lin Caisang pointed out.

“Alright, we’ve eaten enough, it’s ti to go.”

So saying, she placed the packed roasted chickens from the table into the Jinzhu space, opened the door of the private room and prepared to leave. Sui Ziyou also stood up, following Lin Caisang down the stairs.

On the first floor, Imperial Teacher Su was brought in on the palanquin. Even though there were no visible anomalies, and Su sat quite properly, many people watched the group with curiosity, whispering amongst themselves.

“Why is the National Teacher’s face so pale, could it be he has been infected by Young Master Su’s disease?”

“I’ve also heard that Young Master Su’s disease is contagious, could it be that the National Teacher is infected too? I thought the National Teacher was a divine figure, how could he be infected by re mortal diseases?”

“Shush, hush, you guys! Be careful with your words!”

On hearing these comnts, a man gestured to them to be quiet.

A divine figure, really? If he were divine, could he produce such a shaless son? Not only infected with a severe disease, but still trying to throw his weight around till death, served him right.

But these words, they only dared to think in their minds. To say it out loud, who would dare?

“What’s there to be afraid of, they can’t hear us.”

On the other side, Suyang, despite the throbbing pain in his body, stiffly turned his neck towards the housekeeper, Xin.

“Where are they?”

“Master, please wait, I’ll go…”

“Oh, isn’t this Imperial Teacher Su, how co you’re here to dine at the tavern?” Before Housekeeper Xin could finish his sentence, an ironically tinged voice ca from the second floor.
