Chapter 374: Chapter 374: The Question of Being Poisoned to Death
“Where… Where?”
The imperial physician shrunk his head, stealing a glance at the emperor’s face. He felt a chill in his heart, knowing he had angered the emperor.
“On the top of White Blind Mountain,” Lin Caisang lightly raised her eyebrows and said.
The imperial physician: “!!!”
Who the hell would go to the top of White Blind Mountain seeking death? He might as well go to the Youxiang River, at least that would be simpler.
“Lastly, esteed sir, I must remind you that the dicines ‘Tianyang Bead’ and ‘Earth Yin Bead’ must not be used indiscriminately. If used recklessly, they could potentially cause fatalities.”
Lin Caisang added.
“Of course, it may not lead to the death of the person that needs these two dicines to save their life, but the one cooking the dicine might be killed by the so-called life-saving dicine. If you intend to use these two ingredients, rember to be careful.”
She was absolutely right. The ‘Tianyang Bead’ was extrely hot, and the ‘Earth Yin Bead’ extrely cold. When put together, they could easily cause an explosion during the cooking process.
“Hiss!”
The assembled imperial physicians all drew in a sharp breath upon hearing her words.
It was an unspoken rule within the Imperial Palace, whoever formulated the prescription would be the one to cook the dicine. Even if they were a prominent and highly-respected imperial physician, they had to prepare the redy personally, unless a lady from any of the palaces specifically requested soone else.
Given this, who would dare to use such ingredients?
…
“You have no idea, none of them are good people!”
In the bamboo hut, in Ya Molian’s room, Lin Caisang was sitting on the edge of the bed recounting her earlier experiences at the Princess’ Mansion.
“What happened then?”
Ya Molian looked at her with a gentle smile, asking in a soft voice.
“What else could happen?” Lin Caisang snorted.
“A person who could act on behalf of his master without any hesitation, would his master let him strut around at their side? Of course he was imdiately dismissed.”
Would she keep such a person who overstepped boundaries, took risks without her consent, and made her look bad? The answer was, of course, no.
“Rest for a while, I’ll go write a list, have Zhe Jue and the others buy the items and I’ll make you a feast tomorrow.”
Having finished recounting the events at the Princess’ Mansion, Lin Caisang thought about her earlier promise to Ya Molian to cook for him, so she quickly stood up and walked towards the main room.
“Sang…”
Ya Molian wanted to stop her, but before he could open his mouth, she was already gone.
“Master, are you really going to let Miss Lin… cook?” After a while, Zhe Jue sprinted into the room, holding a paper filled with a long list of items, right up to their master’s face.
Over these past few days, he had co to learn that Miss Lin Caisang was the kind of person who had a certain level of understanding when it ca to kitchen matters, but there were just so gaps in her knowledge. Was their master truly comfortable with her cooking a al for him?
The issue seed to move beyond whether her food could be consud; the real problem was… whether he would be poisoned after eating it.
“Zhe Jue, why are you still here, hurry up and go shopping, look, it’s getting dark.” Jiang Zuo ca in carrying dicines, and upon seeing Zhe Jue, he couldn’t help but remind him.
Zhe Jue: “….”
Why is Jiang Zuo looking so excited? Surely, he doesn’t think Miss Lin’s cooking will taste good, right?
It made sense. Jiang Zuo was new to Ya Village and didn’t know much about Miss Lin, so naturally, he had such high hopes. Wait until he tasted the food made by Miss Lin, then he would truly understand the aning of the phrase ‘moved to tears’.
