Chapter 333: Chapter 333: A Strange Person

“Nanny Bai, has the Elder Princess been ill for a long ti?”

A mont later, she pulled away her hand and turned to Nanny Bai, asking.

“In answer to the Honorable Healer’s question, the Princess has been ill for over a month.” Nanny Bai replied.

“At first, she simply felt unwell and the royal physicians from the palace were called. They all said that the Elder Princess was just physically weak and needed only to take restorative dicine for so ti. However, who knew that more than a month has passed with a considerable amount of dicine consud, yet her illness worsened.”

“This is not where the Elder Princess usually resides, is it?” Lin Caisang asked again.

“This…”

Nanny Bai paused, looking at Lin Caisang with a puzzled expression on her face.

Although she was confused, she answered Lin Caisang’s question, “The Elder Princess usually resides in the study. Although this is the main room of the Elder Princess in the Princess’s Mansion, she rarely takes her rest here.”

“Hmm.”

Lin Caisang nodded.

“Could I trouble Nanny Bai to accompany

to the Elder Princess’s study?”

“This…”

Nanny Bai was surprised that Lin Caisang wished to visit the Elder Princess’s study, a place where even the servants in the mansion were not allowed to enter. Even though Lin Caisang was a physician from outside, how could she venture into the Elder Princess’s study?

“I’m afraid I can’t make that decision. Honorable Healer, please wait for a mont. I’ll go and ask the Eldest Prince. If he agrees, then I can take you there.”

Now that the Elder Princess was unconscious, as a nanny, she certainly could not make that decision.

The Honorable Healer before her wanted to go to the Elder Princess’s study must have a valid reason. Her only choice was to report to soone who could make the decision. Fortunately, the Eldest Prince was still in the mansion.

Otherwise, she really wouldn’t know what to do.

“Okay.”

Lin Caisang nodded.

As she watched Nanny Bai leave, she turned her gaze back to the Elder Princess behind the muslin screens, reaching out her hand to check her pulse again.

One pulse check might not be accurate, so she had to check carefully again, to see if it was as she had diagnosed. If it was, this mission would be difficult.

This ti, her expression grew increasingly serious.

When the Eldest Prince ca in with Nanny Bai, he saw Lin Caisang taking the pulse, with her empty other hand continuously tapping her own knee. It seed that she was sowhat anxious.

“Honorable Healer, I heard from Nanny Bai that you want to visit my aunt’s study?”

Hearing the footsteps, Lin Caisang withdrew her hand. The Eldest Prince, observing her, asked softly.

“Yes.”

Lin Caisang nodded in response.

“In treating an illness, not only the patient’s condition needs to be considered, but also the environnt where the patient used to live, in order to make a diagnosis.” she said.

“If you wish to visit my aunt’s study, it’s not impossible. However… there are so old things belonging to my aunt and my uncle, whom I have never t, in the study. I hope you won’t touch them casually.”

The Eldest Prince requested.

“Of course.” Lin Caisang nodded.

Speaking of the Elder Princess of their Liang Kingdom, she could be considered an extraordinary person.

There was a rumor that the Elder Princess, after being saved from danger, married her rescuer out of gratitude. However, shortly after, upon hearing that there was a crisis in the court, she hurried back without bidding farewell to her husband’s family.

She even lost her mory due to a crisis in the court. It was not until an accidental event after her second marriage that she rembered the past.

When the past was recalled, the Elder Princess resolutely asked her own younger brother, the current Emperor, to issue an imperial edict to divorce her prince consort and moved directly into the Princess’s Mansion to live alone.
