Chapter 2701: Chapter 2702: We’ll Have to Fight Head-On
She helplessly spread her hands towards the little creature and honestly said.
"We need to co up with another way to get across this river. How about you, little one, can you think of a way for us, hmm?"
Little Creature: "..."
What kind of people was it following? They saw that huge bloody mouth just now, yet they still want it to think of a way?
Are they bullying it for being a baby or what?
But clearly, it’s much older than them, a lot older even, so why should it be bullied?

It gestured with its front paws towards Lin Caisang.

So, the little creature leaped from Sui Zimo’s shoulder, its tiny body landing on the riverbank.

Lin Caisang saw the little creature jump out and tried to reach out to grab it back, but it was already too quick for her.

Sui Zimo reached over, half encircling her in his arms, letting her watch the riverbank.
She stared intently, initially thinking that the little creature would be devoured by the bloody mouth, yet it was standing safely, and the demon in the river showed no signs of moving or coming out.
"Could it be that the creature in the river is afraid of the little one?"
She raised her hand, touching her chin in confusion, asking aloud, yet also questioning herself.
"The little one hails from the Ice Forest; the demons in the river should be able to sense its aura and thus refrain from attacking," Sui Zimo explained.
Earlier, the little creature was so anxious for them to cross, it must have been here before, and thus assud that crossing would be easy. It hadn’t thought that they might fail to get through.
"Then can’t we bypass this river and reach the other side?" Lin Caisang asked, glancing sideways at him.
Hearing that, Sui Zimo paused for a mont but soon shook his head.
"If I’m not mistaken, this should be a boundary line. No matter which angle we approach from, we cannot just directly reach the opposite bank. We can only cross this river and confront the demons within."
"In that case, we’ll have to fight it out," Lin Caisang sighed lightly.
However, fighting wasn’t much of an issue for them, more of a routine, and it was also a great training opportunity.
"Right."
Sui Zimo replied.
If they wanted to get to the other side of the river, they would have to fight a tough battle.
"Sang’er, I’ll hold it off while you go ahead and wait for
across the river,"
he instructed his wife after pondering for a short mont.
"Okay,"
Lin Caisang didn’t hesitate and nodded imdiately.
She knew well enough that she couldn’t possibly confront the creature in the river head-on.
"Be careful, I’ll be waiting for you on the other side."
With that, she joined Sui Zimo in heading towards the riverbank.
Before they even got close, the feeling of the ground shaking returned. However, this ti was different from when the white goose was released.
During that incident, the demon from the river erged swiftly, imdiately targeting the white goose.
This ti, however, the tremor lasted for a long ti without the river demon surfacing. Instead, they reached the purple-eyed little demon’s side, and Sui Zimo quickly scooped it up.
