Chapter 264: Chapter 264: It’s Lin Changhong’s fault

“What’s the situation?”

Lin Caisang asked as soon as he saw him co out.

“Have my father bring the ox cart over, the injuries are too severe.” Lin Changfeng said, then walked towards Lin Baiyi. The two whispered a few words. Lin Baiyi left in a hurry soon after.

“Mom, mom, let

explain…ow, it wasn’t my fault, that boy is just too irritating, I had no choice but to discipline him…ah! don’t keep hitting , stop,”.

With his arms covering his head, Liu Baixiao ran around the courtyard, trying to justify his actions; claiming he was acting for the child’s welfare. Despite him screaming in pain, everyone felt sowhat satisfied.

“You discipline him?”

Lu Qiubo chased after him with a stick, succeeding in hitting him occasionally, all while muttering under her breath.

“Oh really? I’m going to settle accounts with you today for all the scoundrel things you’ve done over the years.. I’ll teach you a lesson. I’m going to beat you to death, you wicked calamity!”

He dares justify beating his own son. If she didn’t teach him a lesson today, he might start thinking there’s nobody in this world who can handle him!

“Mom, mom, please stop hitting .”

Unable to escape, Liu Baixiao quickly sprinted behind Liu Rui to shield himself from Lu Qiubo.

“Ah!”

Liu Rui scread as soon as she saw the stick in Lu Qiubo’s hand, tried to escape but couldn’t as Liu Baixiao held her tightly by the back of her dress.

“No,no, don’t hit . It wasn’t my fault, I didn’t do anything.”

With her hands covering her head, Liu Rui tried desperately to distance herself from the incident.

“Liu Baixiao, you think you’re tough? Get out here and face your mother. Let’s see if I don’t beat you to death!” Lu Qiubo stared venomously at Liu Rui and Liu Baixiao.

“Tsk.”

From the sidelines, Lin Caisang let out a cold laugh, looking at Liu Baixiao’s pathetic form.

Such a man was a fitting match for a cruel woman like Liu Rui. Using won as human shields to avoid getting hurt. Whoever marries a man like that is simply unlucky.

“If it wasn’t for Grandpa, I’d have driven him out of the village!” Lin Changhong eyed Liu Baixiao with revulsion, his words seething with anger.

The reputation of the Lin family was thoroughly tarnished by Liu Baixiao who was oblivious and actually thought highly of himself.

“Mom, it genuinely wasn’t my fault.”

With his whole body aching, Liu Baixiao dared only to pop his head out from behind Liu Rui, his teeth gritted as he explained.

“It was all Liu Yushui, Yushui told

about the boy hiding food in his room in secret, that’s why I was angry. It was all that girl’s fault, who received news from soone that Lin Changhong had brought food to the boy… All this is Lin Changhong’s fault! He unnecessarily brought food to that boy. If it wasn’t for Lin Changhong, I wouldn’t have beaten the boy.”

He extended his hand, pointing towards Lin Changhong who was standing by the door of Liu Chushui’s room―Liu Baixiao shot him a glare, blaming him for the punishnt he was currently taking. It was simply unbearable.

However, his hand barely extended when it was swatted away by Lu Qiubo’s stick.

“Ouch!”

Liu Baixiao yelped in pain, quickly retreating his hand and after loosening his grip on Liu Rui, he rubbed his arm vigorously.

Once Liu Rui was free, she beca weak at her knees and collapsed onto the ground, but was aware that she needed to crawl away quickly to prevent Liu Baixiao from catching hold of her again. She moved as if she wished for more pairs of arms and legs to assist her.
