Lin Baizhong said dismissively, turning his gaze to the other two n, who were already scared out of their minds.
At that mont, the many-banded krait seed to have found the perfect treasure cave, ready to begin its adventure as it slowly burrowed into Four’s right ear.

Four’s entire face turned crimson from the agony, his body convulsing, eyes wide open. The sensation of the foreign entity crawling into his body made him wish for death already.
But his body was bound, leaving him no ans to end it, even if he wanted to.

When the whole many-banded krait had burrowed into him, he felt as though he’d died multiple tis over, the pain unbearable. He tried to shake his head to escape the tornt of the creature squirming within him.
Yet he dared not make a single move, knowing that any motion would only amplify the pain!
The First and Second could do no more than stare helplessly, swallowing hard, while outside the room, the shopkeeper who had just entered was also swallowing nervously in fear.
"Thi—this is..."
He murmured a few words under his breath, but dared say nothing more.
Because Lin Baizhong, hearing his voice, had already turned back, his blood-red eyes glaring at him. Under such a gaze, how could he dare make another sound?

It seed like an eternity had passed when Four, dulled by constant torture, was now barely clinging to life.
Finally, the many-banded krait found an exit, slowly pushing its head out from Four’s nostril. By this point, it was unrecognizable—its entire body had turned blood-red.
Zhen Wu imdiately took the bamboo tube from Lin Baizhong’s hand, crouched down, and captured the many-banded krait back into the tube.
"Little one, human blood tastes delicious, doesn’t it?"
He sealed the bamboo tube and flicked its surface with his finger, grinning as he asked.
But while speaking, his sinister gaze remained fixed on First and Second, who were watching with dread.
"Hiss!"
Both First and Second inhaled sharply.
They glanced at the barely-breathing Four, then at the bamboo tube in Zhen Wu’s hand.
They were utterly terrified that, in the next mont, Zhen Wu would open the bamboo tube and unleash the many-banded krait onto their own bodies, letting it crawl inside them next.
"So, what do you think? Want to give it a try?" He raised an eyebrow, asking.
"No, no, no!"
Their heads shook like rattles, frantically denying him.
"Heh."
Zhen Wu scoffed softly, then turned to face Shijian.
"Feed him a healing pill. Not one of the good ones—just enough to keep him alive." He instructed.
"Alright."
Shijian responded lightly.
