Chapter 1736: Chapter 1736: Dare to say I have no silver?

“Your wound is too deep. If you want dicine, you’ll need at least three boxes,” she extended three fingers, saying to Su ihua.

“Cut the crap and fetch

the dicine now!”

Su ihua had been getting impatient, glaring fiercely at Lin Caisang as she spoke.

“Three boxes of dicine, each costing three hundred taels of silver, making a total of nine hundred taels. Pay up front, and I’ll give you the dicine,” Lin Caisang said, her gaze indifferent as she looked at Su ihua.

“What?!”

Even Su ihua was startled by Lin Caisang’s outrageous price.

She didn’t know how precious that dicine was, but over the years, she had never spent her own silver while shopping in Lotus Commandery.

People were always eager to present her with fine goods; whether she liked them was another matter.

And this wretched woman dared to ask her for silver?

“You filthy woman, do you know who I am? You dare ask

for silver? You want to die, is that it?”

She roared at Lin Caisang, raising her hand to strike Lin Caisang’s face.

But before she could even touch Lin Caisang’s face, Zhe Jue blocked her, a flash of murderous intent crossing Sui Zimo’s dark eyes!

This woman deserved to die!

Lin Caisang sensed his killing intent and turned to glance at him, shaking her head.

Now was not the ti to kill Su ihua; they needed to extract what they wanted from her lips first. Whatever end this woman deserved, she could et it later.

“I don’t care who you are. If you want my dicine, you must pay this price. If you don’t have the silver, then I’m sorry, the door is over there, please leave!”

She turned back to Su ihua, pointed towards the doorway, and spoke.

“You…”

Su ihua imdiately beca infuriated with her.

This vile woman dared to say she had no silver? She was the beloved daughter of Lotus Commandery’s defense commander—how could she possibly lack silver?

“You dare say I have no silver? You… Servants, give her the silver. Three boxes of dicine, is it? Give her a thousand taels!”

She ordered her maidservant by her side.

“Yes, Miss.”

The maidservant complied, promptly taking out a banknote and tossing it onto Lin Caisang with quite a flair.

“Take it. That’s a reward from my lady. Now go and bring the dicine quickly.”

Lin Caisang did not catch the thousand-tael banknote but turned instead to fetch the three boxes of dicine from the counter, handing them over to the maidservant.

“Three boxes of dicine, each with instructions for dosage and use. If you use too much and sothing goes wrong with your face, then it’s none of my concern. Take them.”

Mimicking the way the maidservant had tossed the banknote, she threw the three boxes of dicine back to her.

The maidservant, startled, quickly tried to catch them, managing to hug the three boxes close just in ti, but in doing so, she twisted into a pretzel, straining her back.

“You—”

The maidservant, enduring the pain in her back and her face turning red, almost cursed Lin Caisang outright.

But rembering her mistress, who wouldn’t let this slide if she knew she couldn’t handle even this small matter and wished to quarrel with Lin Caisang, she dared not speak further.

“Madam, we have the dicine now. Let’s go back,” said the man, noticing that the dicine had been taken and that the previous topic had been put aside by Su ihua, and quickly suggesting they leave.

It would be for the best if Su ihua forgot about that man. Otherwise, he really would end up letting the whole Lotus Commandery know that Su ihua had cuckolded him.
