??Chapter 1708: Chapter 1708: Don’t Touch, It’s Poisonous

Chapter 1708: Chapter 1708: Don’t Touch, It’s Poisonous

Lin Caisang chuckled softly twice.

Princess Consort Lian being sent to the cold palace might actually be a favor to her, sparing her from future suffering.

“Let’s go check out those things first.”

Sui Zimo nodded, and holding Lin Caisang’s hand, he walked towards the study, with Zhen Wu following close behind them.

Outside Prince Mo’s Mansion’s study.

Anxious to see what had been brought from the palace, Lin Caisang had just entered the courtyard when she pulled away from Sui Zimo’s grasp and strode towards the study, pushing the door open as soon as she reached it.

However, as soon as she pushed the door, her brow furrowed.

“Sang’er…”

“Don’t co any closer!”

Sui Zimo had almost reached her and stopped in his tracks at her shout, his expression even more troubled.

“Miss Lin, what’s…”

‘Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!’

Arrows shot out from inside the study, heading straight for Lin Caisang’s face.

Fortunately, after Lin Caisang reacted, she took two steps back in ti to bring out her Wind Spirit Whip.

And Sui Zimo, with his sword already drawn from its sheath, acted to deflect the arrows; soon, the ground before them was littered with them.

Zhen Wu was scared into a cold sweat; although he also deflected so arrows, many had been blocked by Sui Zimo and Lin Caisang.

It was a long while later that no more arrows were fired from within the study.

“Sang’er…”

Sui Zimo took large strides to Lin Caisang’s side, intending to check if she had been injured, but Lin Caisang kept him at bay.

“Don’t touch, it’s poisoned.”

She warned Sui Zimo.

As soon as the door had opened, she had slled sothing unusual, which she recognized as the scent of poison powder.

And now, her body was definitely covered with poison powder; she alone being poisoned was one thing, there was no need to drag another into it.

“What?!”

Sui Zimo was shocked, his black eyes scanning her.

“Don’t worry, it’s not a strong poison, just sothing to trigger the poison in your body. But this dose is substantial, and if you were to touch it, I’m afraid…”

She trailed off without finishing her sentence.

She felt inwardly relieved that she had been in such a hurry; if not for her eagerness to see the things Sui Zimo had, he might have been the one in trouble now.

That would have been more than just a simple outbreak of poison!

Unfortunately, the person who had poisoned the study probably hadn’t anticipated that the ‘attracting’ poison in Sui Zimo had been resolved, and no matter how much trigger poison was scattered, it would only cause Sui Zimo’s old poison to flare up again.

“Then you…”

“Zhen Wu, take this, cover your mouth and nose with it, then go inside and spread it all around the study, and open all the windows after that. Once you’re done, go get yourself washed, don’t leave any trace of the poison on yourself.”

She took out a jar and handed it to Zhen Wu.

“Yes, Miss Lin.”

Zhen Wu wiped off a cold sweat secretly, taking the jar from Lin Caisang’s hands.

Luckily it had been Miss Lin who pushed the door; if it had been their master, Prince Mo, the consequences could have been dire!

But who would have thought to lay such a trap in Prince Mo’s study?

People from the Emperor, or from Prince Yi’s Mansion?

Neither seed likely; how could they get close to the study?

So who could it be?

“I’m going to take another bath.”

Lin Caisang looked at Sui Zimo and, after saying this, dashed into her Golden Pearl space.

When she ca out again, Zhe Jue had just walked out of the study with a bundle, likely containing Sui Zimo’s old items.
