??Chapter 116: Chapter 116 ‘No!’

Chapter 116: Chapter 116 ‘No!’

“No, no…”

Old Master Gong didn’t dare to utter another word, simply staying put obediently.

“What, an antidote? There’s actually an antidote?”

In the darkness, a large hand tightly clenched the man’s collar, almost choking him; a hoarse voice, sounding as if it ca from the depths of hell, echoed in the dim room.

“Yes, that woman has developed an antidote. There are already people who have been cured of the zombie disease,” the man replied, swallowing nervously.

“How is that possible?”

The large hand flung the man aside, murmuring to himself.

This was the zombie disease he had painstakingly cultivated, not the type of zombie poison that just anyone could cure. Could it truly be so easily cured?

“Who is that woman and where did she co from?” he asked, grinding his teeth as he stared at the man.

Thrown to the ground, the man winced in pain but still crawled over to speak.

“Master, it’s as if that woman appeared out of thin air. None of our people saw how she arrived in Hongling Town. And the man with her, he’s extrely skilled. All of us combined could not match him,” he said.

“Is it the man who stole the corpse?” he asked.

He had not easily cultivated the zombie disease in Gong Xiting’s body, waiting to make great use of it when it was snatched away by that man. This was a grudge he was determined to retaliate for!

“Yes,” the man nodded.

“I don’t want to hear any more news about these two. If otherwise, I’ll repay you with your life for theirs,” he ordered.

“Yes, I’ll go handle it right away.”

The man swallowed again, then stumbled off in a hurry.

Inside the Bead Space, Lin Caisang collected a large amount of dicinal herbs. Naturally, many of them were not needed. Ordinarily, with her lofty character, she would never take advantage of others.

However, their Lin family’s ancestral ‘Fearless’ elixir pills were a secret redy, not to be disclosed. She would not give anyone a thod of how to refine this elixir pill.

Grabbing so many dicinal herbs was a helpless move.

“I wonder what’s going on outside now.”

Her hands were occupied with work, yet she was still murmuring to herself.

She and Ya Molian speculated that there was a hidden puppet master behind this incident. After all the effort Ya Molian expended earlier to retrieve Gong Xiting’s corpse, he must be exhausted now, right?

It’s no wonder he went to rest as soon as he returned. She had almost forgotten that he still had poison in his system that had not yet been removed.

“I wonder if ‘Fearless’ has any effect on the poison in Brother Molian’s body? Could it possibly cure it?” she couldn’t help but ask herself aloud, turning her head to look at the Jade Mirror before she could even question it.

But she saw two large characters written on the Jade Mirror: ‘NO!’

Even complete with an exclamation mark! How could it be so rcilessly blunt? If it couldn’t, it couldn’t, but did it have to ruin even her thoughts about it?

“Brother Jade Mirror, can’t you be a bit softer in your delivery? No, wait, wasn’t Brother Molian injured?”

Suddenly, her face fell.

That guy, Ya Molian, had just suppressed the poison in his body the day before, then the next day he went to the mountains to hunt wild boars. If he were just a little tired now, would he have gone straight to rest?

“He must have been injured. This guy always keeps quiet about his problems. No, I have to check on him.”

Thinking this, she wanted to finish refining the batch of elixir pills early, and then go check on Ya Molian, so her hands speeded up.

The inn room door was ajar. Lin Caisang gently pushed it open. But the man who should have been resting was nowhere in sight, seemingly disappeared into thin air.
