Chapter 897: 436 Bargaining_1 Chapter 897: 436 Bargaining_1 “Dr.
Aria.” Tommi Grant saw the man who ca in and imdiately sat up from the hospital bed.
Peter Aria waved his hand and first conducted a routine check-up on the patient’s condition.
Putting away his stethoscope, he said, “You are recovering well, you will be discharged next week.”
Tommi Grant expressed his gratitude, “Dr.
Aria, had it not been for you, I might not have been alive.
I really don’t know how to thank you.”
“It’s my duty as a doctor, you don’t have to worry about it.” Peter Aria prepared to leave to attend the next patient in the ward.
As if he just rembered sothing, Peter Aria turned around and said, “The Wishful Thinking Foundation has a dical aid program which I think is right for you.
...
You can take a look at the program proposal.”
Tommi Grant imdiately replied, “I trust Dr.
Aria unconditionally, I will participate.”
Peter Aria shook his head, “I will have soone send over the program proposal.
After you’ve read it all, consider whether or not you would like to participate.
By the way, the proposal needs a family mber’s signature.
Do you have any family mbers here?”
Tommi Grant paused briefly, slightly shocked before shaking his head.
Peter Aria frowned, “Don’t you have any family mbers around?
The young lady who was here during your last surgery, she’s your sister, right?”
Upon the ntion of his sister, Tommi Grant’s frown deepened.
“My sister is quite busy with work and doesn’t have ti to take care of .”
Peter Aria sighed, “However busy work is, one must spend ti with their family.”
Just as Peter Aria was about to leave, he looked up to see the ward door being pushed open.
A young man with gold-rimd glasses stepped in.
The man held a Thermos flask in one hand and a bag of apples in the other.
Upon seeing Peter Aria he greeted kindly, “Dr.
Aria, good evening.”
Peter Aria’s gaze flicked briefly over the man’s face.
He gave a small nod in acknowledgent and walked out of the ward.
Upon leaving the ward, he looked back once more.
The man put down his Thermos, dished out a bowl of porridge, and handed it to Tommi Grant with practiced ease.
“Mr.
Harris, I’m sorry to trouble you once again.
You already have evening classes, yet you still co to the hospital to take care of ,” Tommi Grant sighed.
“Elise’s Auntie is busy and you can’t be left unattended.
I have no imdiate family here in Pethkids.
Taking care of you after work hours also ans taking care of Elise, after all, Elise is my student as well.
Only once your health improves, can Elise focus on her studies.”
Tommi Grant asked, “Did Elise go to her classmate’s ho again?”
The man laughed, “Elise’s classmate will definitely put you at ease.”
Drinking porridge, Tommi Grant cast a questioning glance at Christopher Harris.
“I’m not sure if Big Brother Grant has been following the news lately, but there’s a young girl stirring things up in Pethkids single-handedly.
Known for her kindness and compassion, she has been called a reincarnation of the Buddha.”
Tommi Grant quickly responded, “I know, I know, it’s Aubree Groove.
She’s such a good girl, I really like her.”
The mont Aubree was ntioned, Tommi Grant’s excitent was unmistakable.
Christopher sat down, grabbed an apple and started peeling it unhurriedly with a fruit knife.
The young man’s hands were slender.

The fruit knife seed to co alive in his hand, the thin apple skin dropping from his fingers in a continuous thread.
“Elise’s classmate is Aubree Groove’s sister; are you relieved now, Big Brother Grant?”
Tommi Grant paused, then laughed, “Not only am I relieved, I’m extrely reassured.
I never imagined that Elise could beco good friends with Ms.
Aubree’s sister.
What a stroke of luck for that little devil.”
Outside the ward, Peter Aria frowned, his eyes digging into Christopher Harris’s retreating figure, then turned to leave.
——
Christopher Harris didn’t stay long in the ward, only sitting for a while before he left.
Tommi Grant picked up his phone and desperately called Belen Philbert, but her phone was consistently turned off.
“Little Snow, answer the phone.
What happened to you?
Do you want your elder brother to worry to death, huh?”
He had not been able to contact Belen for half a month.
It was as if she was evaporated from the world, leaving no trace.
Sotis there were weeks when he wouldn’t be able to contact Belen, but for so reason this ti, his unease was deepening.
After hesitating for a mont, he dialed 110.
Nothing was more important than Little Snow’s safety.
anwhile, a taxi had pulled up outside the Pethkids Police Departnt.
