Chapter 757: 386 Surgery

In the chilly wind, the low iron gate of the villa opened, and a dark figure entered.

Zhou Xue led the visitor without looking at them, taking them to the second-floor study.

She gently knocked on the study door.

“Madam, the person is here.”

“Enter.” A woman’s emotionless voice ca from inside the room.

Zhou Xue opened the study door and respectfully stood aside. The visitor entered, and Zhou Xue closed the study door, then guarded it.

The dim light of the room made the not-so-large study a bit warr. The woman sat behind the desk, holding a brush, her hair gently hanging beside her, looking graceful and elegant.

The newcor took off their mask and hat, “Madam, long ti no see.”

The woman didn’t raise her head, her hand holding the brush steady, “Ms. Bo, what brings you here in the middle of the night?”

“Madam, you flatter . If it weren’t for your kindness back then, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I ca here to repay you.”

Upon hearing this, the woman finally showed a satisfied smile on her face.

She put down her brush, wiped her hands with a towel, then looked up at the visitor.

“Oh? How will you repay ?”

The woman let out a faint smile, “With the life of Ran Bowen’s daughter as repaynt.”

Jiang Chunlan’s eyes flashed, “If you can’t kill with one blow, don’t provoke the snake. She is no longer the poor nun that she once was.”

“Rest assured, Madam. I will do it secretly; no one will suspect you.”

“You seem to overestimate yourself. She is an opponent not to be underestimated.” Jiang Chunlan’s tone was sarcastic.

Bo Yujiang’s face stiffened, but soon she laughed, “Even the strongest people have a weakness. To kill the snake, strike at its vital spot.”

“I’ll look forward to your good news then.” Jiang Chunlan’s face was expressionless, neither happy nor angry.

“What about Night Hawk? Has he contacted you recently?”

Bo Yujiang shuddered involuntarily, “No…no, ever since Madam arranged for to leave the organization, I lost contact with Night Hawk.”

Jiang Chunlan’s face darkened, “That damned guy, never there when you need him.”

“Madam… Night Hawk… could he know about our deception back then?” Bo Yujiang hesitated before voicing her guess.

“Impossible. Jiang Yu’s bones have been ground to powder. Who would tell him the truth? Besides, I have the right to decide the fate of any of my subordinates. If he resents for that, I really misjudged him.”

Bo Yujiang didn’t dare say that she had already t Night Hawk and that he had recognized her.

She had an innate fear of her forr leader, even deeper than her fear of the madam sitting before her.

If Night Hawk learned the truth about that year, she could hardly imagine the consequences.

At that mont, a cold gaze fell upon her, and Bo Yujiang dared not raise her head.

“I arranged for you to enter the Bo family, not for you to enjoy yourself. Tell , what have you found out?”

Half an hour later, Zhou Xue saw Bo Yujiang off.

On her way back, she received a phone call.

Hearing the crying from her phone, Zhou Xue’s face changed instantly.

“Fangfang, what happened? Calm down and tell .”

“Auntie Zhou, sob sob…” The little girl cried so much that she couldn’t speak. At this mont, a clear and gentle voice ca through the phone, suppressing Zhou Xue’s uncontrollable panic.

“Hello, I’m Fangfang’s classmate’s teacher. Her father Mr. Zhang has been suddenly hospitalized and needs a family mber to sign a critical illness notification form. You’re the only relative she could reach. Please co to Renmin Hospital’s ergency departnt imdiately.”

A critical illness notification form?

Zhou Xue’s body swayed, and she almost fell, propping herself against the wall.

She took a deep breath, “Thank you, teacher. I’ll be on my way now.”

After hanging up, Zhou Xue inford Jiang Chunlan of her leave. Jiang Chunlan frowned upon hearing about Zhou Xue’s family ergency. She handed Zhou Xue a bank card and told her to call her if she needed anything.

Zhou Xue hurriedly drove to the hospital, her mind restless. She nearly rear-ended the car in front of her at an intersection.

When she arrived at the hospital, she ran to the ergency departnt without bothering to park her car. Zhang Yunfang saw her and ran over, crying.

“Auntie, is my dad going to leave forever?”

Zhou Xue squatted down and touched Zhang Yunfang’s head, comforting her, “No, your dad won’t have any problem. I’m here, and I will make sure nothing happens to your dad.”

At this mont, a gentle voice ca from above, “Don’t worry; the hospital has invited the best surgeon. Your brother will be fine.”
