Chapter 202: Chapter 202: The Origins of Jiang Nanshu

Lu Qingyan was silent for a mont.

He bent down and carried the person out horizontally.

The Ji Family mbers were all downstairs.

Jiang Hemian sat on the sofa; seeing Lu Qingyan bringing soone down, he asked, “Should we go to the hospital now?”

Lu Qingyan quietly agreed, “Mm.”

Mrs. Ji was extrely anxious, “I will go with you. The hospital is in town. Ah, if I had known, I wouldn’t have let her co over and get sick.”

She was so worried that her eyes reddened.

Ji Ze was also quite self-accusatory; it was he who had asked Jiang Nanshu to co back.

It was only the first day, yet she had developed a high fever.

Father Ji looked defeated, sporadically puffing on his smoking pipe, his mood also seed very irritable.

Shang Xu looked worried, his little brows furrowed, “Being sick ans getting injections and taking dicines; Xuxu doesn’t like it.”

Jiang Nanshu turned her head, her face crimson from the fever and her limpid eyes drooping weakly, inexplicably losing a layer of estrangent.

She looked at the Ji Family, “Mom, your health isn’t good; don’t go, just stay ho.”

“Dad, your legs aren’t good; it’s dark at night.”

“Xiaoze, help take good care of Xuxu. He shouldn’t go either, especially late at night.”

After Jiang Nanshu finished speaking.

Ji Ze sniffled, his voice muffled, “Mm.”

Mrs. Ji hesitated and then sighed.

Lu Qingyan intervened, “Don’t worry, I’ll take her to the hospital for a check-up; we will be back soon.”

Then he looked at Jiang Hemian, “Are you going?”

Jiang Hemian smiled, “You are there; I won’t go. I’ll wait here for you guys to return.”

Lu Qingyan nodded, then quickly left with Jiang Nanshu in his arms.

He placed her in the passenger seat and then moved to the driver’s side.

“Fasten the seatbelt.”

Jiang Nanshu lazily leaned back, her head turned towards the thick nightlife, her voice nasal, “I don’t have the strength; help .”

She turned her head, her beautiful apricot eyes watery as she looked at him.

Lu Qingyan’s defenses retreated another step.

He took a deep breath, his face tense as he fastened it for her.

“Little rascal, I still haven’t got you down.”

Lu Qingyan’s expression grew colder.

Jiang Nanshu grabbed his face directly, delivering a light kiss, her eyes misty with a smile, “Smile a bit, so cold and unlovable.”

Lu Qingyan fixedly looked at her.

No emotion.

Jiang Nanshu wasn’t annoyed, she leaned closer and kissed his lips, “I’ll pass the cold to you, let you catch it along with .”

Lu Qingyan lowered his eyes, creating so distance, “Sit properly.”

Jiang Nanshu looked at him with aggrieved eyes.

Lu Qingyan remained unmoved.

Inside the car, there was silence.

Jiang Nanshu sulked.

“Stupid straight guy, you definitely won’t have a wife in the future!”

Lu Qingyan’s eyes were constantly on Jiang Nanshu, noting when she leaned against the seat and fell asleep.

He sighed softly, gently draping a coat over Jiang Nanshu.

The bright headlights illuminated the winding country road.

His eyes were even darker than the nightlife.

Lu Qingyan thought, if he truly surrendered, the day Jiang Nanshu abandoned him would be his own fault.

Ji Family.

Mrs. Ji was restless.

The ti had reached eight o’clock.

During dinner, when Ji Ze went to call Jiang Nanshu down for dinner, they discovered she was sick.

Mrs. Ji blad herself terribly.

It was all because she didn’t dare disturb her daughter, which made Jiang Nanshu suffer all afternoon until her high fever was discovered in the evening.

“The village is half an hour’s drive from the town; they should be arriving soon, right?” Mrs. Ji muttered incessantly.

Father Ji nodded and sighed, “Once her fever goes down, it will be fine, thank heavens she didn’t have any serious incidents.”

They were all afraid when Jiang Nanshu fell ill.

It was rciless for them.

But from the current situation, it seed Jiang Nanshu hadn’t changed.

Jiang Hemian appeared thoughtful.

Shang Xu had been taken by Ji Ze to the prepared room to sleep; being young, he started crying minutes after Lu Qingyan had taken Jiang Nanshu away.

Mrs. Ji, seeing this, felt heartbroken and held him to lull him to sleep.

Probably tired from crying, he soon fell asleep.

She then handed him over to Ji Ze and asked him to take him to the room to sleep.

Afraid that Shang Xu might wake up frightened, she specifically asked Ji Ze to stay there until Lu Qingyan returned.

At this ti, only Jiang Hemian, Father Ji, and Mrs. Ji were left in the living room.

As Jiang Nanshu’s biological older brother, Father Ji was rather cautious with him. “Young Master Jiang, why don’t you also go to your room and rest? The countryside is dull, and the nightlife is not as vibrant as in the city.”

Jiang Hemian smiled slightly, “No rush, since there is nothing else, let’s chat for a while.”

Father Ji and Mrs. Ji exchanged glances.

They faintly guessed that Jiang Hemian had stayed instead of going to the town to ask so questions, likely about Jiang Nanshu.

After hesitating for a mont, Father Ji still nodded in agreent, “Alright, Young Master Jiang, what would you like to talk about?”

“It’s nothing important; I just want to understand more about Le Yi’s background, Aunt Ji, did you know that Jiang Le Yi was not your biological daughter when you swapped her back from Nannan and Yiyi?” Jiang Hemian’s question was piercing.

Directly addressing the crucial issue.

Father Ji and Mrs. Ji remained silent.

After a long while.

Mrs. Ji finally nodded with tears in her eyes, “Yes, I knew, I always knew. Nannan was determined to return to her biological family, and I didn’t want to stop her. Only by acknowledging Le Yi could she live happily.”

Because she then beca the legitimate eldest miss of the Jiang Family.

Jiang Hemian narrowed his eyes slightly, “Since it wasn’t a mix-up, then how did Nannan co to be with you? Raised by you?”

The expressions of Father Ji and Mrs. Ji were extrely grave.

After a long while, Mrs. Ji spoke with teary eyes, “eting Nannan was an accident. I found her in a ditch, it was deep autumn, and she was frozen purple in the water, wrapped in a hospital blanket. If not for the blanket being caught by a branch in the ditch and because she was small enough not to be washed away, she would have died long ago.”

Jiang Hemian’s pupils constricted.

So Jiang Nanshu had been intentionally abandoned.

Moreover, the perpetrator was definitely an acquaintance of theirs, soone who could move freely around them without suspicion.

Mrs. Ji continued to reminisce, “At that ti, Old Ji and I had just co out of the hospital, my daughter had died at birth, perhaps heavens didn’t want to see sad, and that’s why I was lucky to find the abandoned Nannan. I treated her as my own, and I often hesitated whether to tell Nannan the truth about her origin. But seeing her sweetly calling ‘mom,’ I selfishly wanted to keep her.”

Her voice choked up.

Father Ji pulled out a tissue for her to wipe her tears, “My partner, it’s not your fault.”

Jiang Hemian had completely understood Jiang Nanshu’s origin.

“What about Le Yi? Do you know?”

Mrs. Ji shook her head, “I don’t know Le Yi, perhaps she was soone else’s child left behind?”

After speaking, Mrs. Ji hastily added, “Nannan is a very good child, she has gone back ho, you must treat her well.”

Jiang Hemian gently sighed and smiled, saying, “Don’t worry, we all consider her family and won’t mistreat her.”

Mrs. Ji then felt relieved.

The next instant.

The outer yard gate was knocked on thunderously.

A woman’s urgent cries for help rang out.

“Help, let us in.”
