An Xiaxia waited anxiously for the test results.
The attending physician recognized her from before and teased her, “Your husband will be so moved to see how much you care about him once he wakes up.”
An Xiaxia tugged at the lower hem of her clothes in self-reproach.
If she had really cared about Sheng Yize like the doctor said, she should have realized his health problem a long ti ago.
He hadn’t been feeling well since being out in the rain the other day, had he? She couldn’t imagine how he could have endured it for so long.

A crowd had gathered under the hospital building and everyone was engaged in animated conversation as they pointed at a figure up on the rooftop.
“Why, is she going to jump or not? We’ve been waiting for ages!”
An Xiaxia looked up and her face went pale.
A frail, slender figure sat motionless on the edge of the rooftop.
Two won walked past An Xiaxia at that mont and one of them said in a an voice, “She’s just trying to get noticed, if you ask ! She’s not going to jump! I went up there and took a photo just then. The woman just sat there the entire ti. People nowadays will do anything to get famous!”
An Xiaxia darted her a curious look and recognized the face on her iPad.

An Xiaxia hurried into the hospital building and took a lift to the rooftop.
The autumn wind blew yellow leaves off the branches, covering the city streets. Mu Li sat there on the edge of the roof and gazed at everything beneath her with an impassive face.
Why was it that so people were exhausted by life, while others could live the perfect life they wanted?
Behind her, social workers and firen were trying to talk so sense into her, but she ignored them all.
A sweet voice called her na. “Mu Li!”
Looking over her shoulder with rigid movents, Mu Li seed to wake up a little when she recognized An Xiaxia.
