Penelope Thatcher was stunned for a mont and subconsciously said, "Didn’t you say you wanted to go out and work?"

Now that he’s no longer her nanny, isn’t moving out just what’s supposed to happen? How is that being chased away?

She realized there was a significant generational gap between herself and Jordan Yorke.

Jordan Yorke replied, "I do plan to go out and find a job, because I don’t want my life to be so unambitious. I should strive for a better future, but I never said I wanted to leave here. How can you drive out?"

He’s been so good to Penelope Thatcher, cooking, doing household chores, and carrying her bags.

Is this how Penelope Thatcher treats him?

This woman is really so heartless.

Jordan Yorke looked at Penelope Thatcher with eyes accusing her of being ruthless and ungrateful.

Penelope Thatcher was bewildered, "So you’re saying you want to find a job outside but still live here?"

Does he want to rent his room or just refuse to leave?

Isn’t he an honest man? It couldn’t be that shaless, could it?

Penelope Thatcher looked at Jordan Yorke inquisitively, and Jordan said, "Penelope, you’re aware of my situation. I currently have nowhere to live, no job yet, and naturally no inco. If I leave here, I’ll end up on the streets. You’re such a kind person; how could you treat so cruelly, right?"

Penelope Thatcher, "..."

She was convinced that Jordan Yorke was definitely freeloading off her.

"And I’ve said I want to repay you for saving my life. I can’t just leave like this, or my mom will call ungrateful."

Penelope Thatcher, "..."

Although Penelope Thatcher felt sothing was off, she couldn’t pinpoint it, thinking Jordan’s words had so sense.

"Let’s do this: I’ll introduce you to a job, and you can start working imdiately,"

She added, "I’ll tell them to advance you so salary. Once you get paid, you can rent a place and won’t be holess."

As a forr employer, isn’t she going above and beyond?

Jordan Yorke must be speechless now, right?

Jordan Yorke’s honest and unsophisticated face showed a complex expression.

Getting a job, he was naturally delighted.

But Penelope Thatcher probably thinks introducing him to a job allows her to continue pointing fingers at him.

She’s just a mistress; where did she get the connections to introduce him to a job? It’s all contacts she traded with her body, so what’s she proud of?

Moreover, Penelope Thatcher is solely focused on making him move out, perhaps finds him botherso and wants to kick him out?

He has lived here for so long and has such deep feelings for this house; what right does Penelope Thatcher have to evict him?

And the girl he likes lives across from him, that girl looks up to him so much. If he moves out, he’ll never see her again, right?

At this mont, Jordan Yorke felt Penelope Thatcher was like a ruthless executioner breaking up lovebirds, growing to hate her.

He’s sacrificed enough for Penelope Thatcher. Now he just wants to be near his beloved, watching her from afar, so why does she have to take away this small wish?

Jordan Yorke bit his lip, "Penelope, after all this ti together, are you really going to kick out? You weren’t like this before; why have you beco so heartless?"

Penelope Thatcher looked at the accusing Jordan Yorke, her brain still a bit short-circuited, unclear why he was accusing her.

She spent money hiring a nanny, now the nanny wants to resign, she’s letting him move out, what’s wrong with that?

Why does Jordan Yorke make it seem like she’s a heartless man?

She suddenly recalled what Sumr Xavier had said to her, casting a strange glance at Jordan Yorke, "Jordan, you’re not really planning to freeload off forever, are you?"

Back then, Jordan Yorke kept saying he wanted to repay her kindness, and she was moved by him being so grateful.

But thinking about it now, is this really repaying kindness? She seems to have been helping Jordan all along, hasn’t she?

She’s now ended up fostering a freeloader.

"I don’t care what you’re thinking; you need to move out as soon as possible."

This nanny is no longer needed!

Jordan Yorke was heartbroken by Penelope, saying, "Fine, I’ll move out as soon as possible. I’m a man with ambition; I won’t mooch off you. Once I get my paycheck, I’ll leave imdiately, won’t linger even for a minute!"

But you’d better not regret it!

Although he thought that, Jordan Yorke felt he should be kind and not hold a grudge against such a woman with contrary views.

So he asked Penelope, "Penelope, if I leave, who will cook for you? Who will wash clothes for you? Who will clean the house?"

Penelope said matter-of-factly, "What’s the problem? I’ll just hire another nanny."

This ti, she needs to be cautious and hire soone good from a proper agency, not another big burden like Jordan.

Jordan Yorke’s expression beca even more dejected.

He thought what he did for Penelope was unique, that she’d see his efforts and appreciate him.

But he didn’t expect that, in Penelope’s eyes, his deeds were indistinguishable from a nanny, and she could simply hire a replacent and take his place.

At this point, Penelope fished around in her bag, saying, "Go to this company, give them this business card, and ntion my na; they’ll arrange a job for you. I’ll also call them and let them..."

Jordan Yorke took the business card.

Then Penelope suddenly rembered, Jordan had been her nanny for a month, and she should pay him accordingly.

She’d give Jordan his salary right here, and he could go rent a place.

So Penelope counted so money from her bag, "Here’s so money for you; use it to rent a place and move out soon."

Jordan looked at the money, unsure if he should take it.

Why is Penelope in such a hurry to make him move out?

And she’s even giving him money? What’s that supposed to an, using money to dismiss him?

He stood up suddenly, "Penelope, I didn’t expect you to be this kind of person, how can you insult with money?"

Penelope, dumbfounded, "How did I insult you with money? You’ve been cooking, cleaning, doing chores for ; this money is rightfully yours."

Jordan replied, "I didn’t do those things for money; don’t use money to insult !"

Penelope asked, "You’re not doing it for money, so why?"

Jordan, "For gratitude!"

Penelope, "..."

Oh right, it’s for gratitude. If she insists on giving him money, he’d probably feel insulted because of his pride.

So, Penelope retracted the money, "Alright then, I won’t give you money."

Seeing Penelope so readily take back the money, Jordan was speechless again.

Penelope said, "Then once you join the company, I’ll call them and let them advance your salary so you can rent a place."

She still wants him to move out.
