Paige Sterling sighed, "I want to see him."

Secretary Jones was taken aback, looking at Paige, "Madam really wants to see President Hawthorne who’s in a coma?"

Paige nodded, "I haven’t seen him until now, and I’m quite worried."

Shaun Jones seed troubled, "Madam, I’m afraid I can’t help with that. Miss Alisa said she was the one who saved President Hawthorne, and she’s not comfortable handing him over to anyone else. President Hawthorne is still with her, and it took quite a bit of effort for to see him even once..."

It seems Alisa is really keeping a close watch on Julian Hawthorne; no one knows what she’s truly afraid of.

As he thought about it, Shaun suddenly said, "However, when I went to see President Hawthorne earlier, Alisa asked to pass a ssage to Madam."

Paige raised an eyebrow, "Oh?"

"Alisa wants to ask Madam whether she wants President Hawthorne to wake up."

Paige pondered for a mont, "Does that an she has a way to wake Julian up?"

Shaun nodded, "Alisa has found a renowned brain specialist who claims they can wake President Hawthorne, with an eighty percent success rate, but..."

Paige naturally continued, "Does she have conditions for ?"

Shaun replied, "From what Alisa implied, it seems so."

"Then pass on to her that I can consider the conditions, but I must first see Julian. Once I see him, I will respond to her."

"Alright, I’ll negotiate with Alisa. Once I have news, I’ll inform Madam."

Shaun went to negotiate with Alisa, and she agreed on her end.

Thus, Paige went to the hospital, and this ti she finally reached the door of the hospital room.

Alisa looked at her, smiling, "Miss Sterling has arrived."

Paige directly asked Alisa, "Alisa, can you really save Julian?"

Alisa confidently replied, "Of course, I’ve already found a doctor, but it’s up to Miss Sterling whether she wants President Hawthorne to wake up."

Seeing Paige remain silent, Alisa added, "Miss Sterling, you also know I love President Hawthorne. I don’t care whether he’s awake or in a coma. If I can stay by his side for a lifeti, I don’t mind if he remains lying down forever. But if he wakes up and there are other won by his side, I’d rather he stays unconscious. So whether President Hawthorne wakes up is entirely up to Miss Sterling."

Paige still didn’t speak, as if she was considering.

Alisa gave Paige two minutes to think, and two minutes later, she asked Paige.

"Miss Sterling, I don’t have much ti for you to consider. Tell your choice now."

She waited for Paige to desperately plead with her to save Julian.

Thinking of this scenario, she couldn’t help but feel excited, as if she could finally avenge past slights.

Yet Paige remained calm, not wanting to act out. She directly told Alisa, "Miss Alisa, tell what you want."

Alisa sneered, as if mocking Paige’s feigned ignorance.

"What do I want? Doesn’t Miss Sterling know? What I want is all that I’m entitled to — the position of the Hawthorne family lady, Julian as my man. If you are still self-aware, you should relinquish it all. When President Hawthorne becos my man, I’ll naturally lend a hand to save him. After all, I can’t bear to see my man remain a vegetative person forever. Furthermore, when he wakes up, I’ll help him reclaim control of the Hawthorne family and restore him to his rightful position."

In Alisa’s view, Simon Hawthorne was taking advantage of the situation and walking away with everything that belonged to Julian.

Julian treated Simon as a brother, but Simon never really regarded Julian as kin.

But that’s okay; Alisa will help Julian eliminate Simon, his heartless and unjust brother, to reclaim the Hawthorne family’s power.

And this, can Paige help Julian achieve?

No, this person who only hides in a laboratory researching dead things, what does she know of strategy and tactics?

Ultimately, only Alisa could stand by Julian’s side, advancing and retreating together.

Alisa had many inappropriate thoughts before she heard Paige calmly say.

"Alisa, you should know we’re in a military marriage, don’t you? It’s not about what I want or what you want."

Alisa said, "I believe if Miss Sterling truly loves President Hawthorne, she can certainly resolve this issue, right?"

Paige shook her head, not following Alisa’s expectations, and said, "I really can’t resolve this issue."

Paige’s gaze penetrated the hospital room door, as if to see Julian inside. She stared vacantly and said, "My love for Julian is no less than Miss Alisa’s. Since Miss Alisa doesn’t mind Julian being comatose forever, I naturally don’t mind either. As long as I’m still his wife, I don’t care how he is."

Alisa’s expression stiffened, unable to maintain composure.

Then, her face quickly resud a sarcastic expression, as if ridiculing Paige’s hypocrisy.

"Paige, do you really love President Hawthorne? If you truly loved him, how could you selfishly watch him in a coma forever? Do you know how awful it is for soone who has awareness but can never wake up, just lying there like the living dead? And when it only requires a bit of your sacrifice to restore President Hawthorne to normal, you’re unwilling? I truly pity President Hawthorne—a sincere affection given to soone like you. When President Hawthorne wakes up and learns of your actions, I wonder how regretful he’ll be for choosing to be with you..."

Paige smiled at Alisa, "Miss Alisa, isn’t it funny? You staying with the vegetative Julian is true love, but for , it’s selfish?"

Hypocrites everywhere, huh.

Alisa was briefly silenced, opting not to argue with Paige anymore, asking directly: "Miss Sterling, have you thought it over? There is only one chance; do you really not want to save President Hawthorne?"

"If Miss Alisa is unwilling to act, what can I do?" Paige sighed and said helplessly, "Miss Alisa, my husband doesn’t need your treatnt anymore. May I take my husband ho now?"

Alisa sneered, "Of course not! President Hawthorne’s life was saved by , and without my permission, no one can take him away! Even if you won’t save President Hawthorne, I will—I won’t give up on him. When he wakes up, I will truthfully tell him about your actions, and I believe he will make the right choice this ti, knowing what kind of woman he should cherish."

Paige found it amusing, wondering if Alisa was delusional. Her brain seed sowhat abnormal.

That unfounded confidence of believing she had control over everything, where did she get it from?

"Miss Alisa, even if you are Julian’s savior, you don’t have the right to detain him, do you? Your actions already constitute a cri. Aren’t you afraid I’ll sue you?"

Alisa’s face looked sowhat bad. Although she had to admit, she had no grounds to continue holding Julian.

If the Hawthorne family really pressed charges against her, regardless of her life-saving grace for Julian, she stands no chance.

Alisa could only say, "Miss Sterling, I’m doing this for President Hawthorne’s sake. The doctor will co soon to treat President Hawthorne. When he wakes up, I won’t interfere with his choices."}
