Paige Sterling still had that calm deanor, "Everyone saw it, there’s surveillance in this carriage too. My brother is in this state because you hit him. Let tell you, you’re not leaving today. We’ll go to the hospital for an injury assessnt, then head to the police station. You won’t get away with this..."

The woman, whose son was beaten, was already furious and wanted to seek compensation from Paige, but instead, Paige fired back with such a strong stance, talking about injury assessnts and the police, it made her panic, "Your kid hit mine first, and you hit too, on what grounds do you get to talk about injury assessnt? If there’s an assessnt, it’s my kid who should get it..."

Paige said, "My child hit yours out of self-defense. I hit you out of anger, but you, as an adult, hit my brother and left him in this state. This isn’t a minor issue..."

Sonny Chambers lay on the seat convulsing, and the elderly onlookers were filled with sympathy.

"This poor child, he needs to be sent to the hospital right away..."

When Sonny heard "hospital," he gradually stopped convulsing, his performance deserving of an Oscar.

Paige sneered at the woman, "I will pursue my brother’s injury to the end. See you in court!"

The woman retorted, "You’re making things up, I didn’t even touch him!"

So people have bizarre logic; they think they’re the center of the universe and can do whatever they want to others, but others absolutely cannot wrong them.

It’s all because society is too kind, indulging people to be so lawless.

"Look at this, your brother beat my son like this, if you pursue, I’ll pursue too!"

Paige said coldly, "My brother isn’t even six years old. How hard can such a little kid hit? Maybe your kid just can’t take a hit, and now you want to bla my brother?"

"What kind of logic is that? Just because he’s little, it doesn’t an it doesn’t hurt when he hits?"

"Isn’t that what you just said? He’s so young, just a little bump, how painful can it be?"

The woman got caught up in her own logic, getting choked up and shouted: "You’re just being unreasonable! I’m calling the police! Call the police!"

She really did call the police. When the subway reached the next station, the police ca in and took both parties away.

Paige wasn’t afraid; after all, she had studied law. This kind of thing wouldn’t affect her much.

At the police station, the woman beca even more vocal.

"Officer, did you see the injuries on my son? Did you see my swollen face? It’s all because of these siblings! Officer, you have to stand up for us!"

In response to the police’s questioning, Paige said: "I did hit her, but she hit my brother first. I acted out of urgency."

"Urgency! You did it on purpose, both of you siblings are no good! You’re deliberately trapping us mother and son!"

Paige didn’t even glance at her.

This attitude made the woman even angrier.

If Paige had begged her nicely, she might have let this go.

But since the other party didn’t appreciate kindness, she wouldn’t be courteous either, "Let tell you, don’t be arrogant! My husband will be here soon, he’s a departnt manager at Penson Technologies, and he won’t let you off! Just you wait..."

Today she must make these siblings pay, otherwise wouldn’t her and her son have been beaten up for nothing?

Penson’s departnt manager?

Paige chuckled, "Then I really must thank you."

With a wife and kid so unruly, how can he be a departnt manager? This departnt manager can be replaced.

She wondered which departnt manager it actually was, she’d like to see.

The police were also troubled, trying to persuade both to settle privately.

After all, it all started because of the kids, and it’s not that big of a deal, no need to make it too big.

But neither showed any intention to settle privately.

The woman even directly threatened, "Let tell you, this won’t be settled privately. My son has never been touched since he was born, and today this brat hit him, I won’t let it go. When my husband arrives, whether it’s a lawsuit or compensation, you’ll see!"

Originally, she wasn’t too confident, but after calling her husband, she beca righteous.

Her husband was so formidable, sitting in Penson’s manager position, he couldn’t possibly fail to deal with these people.

Do they even know what Penson is? It’s the leading company in the dostic tech industry, the one that pushed Apex to beco a small third-rate company! These people probably haven’t even set foot inside Penson’s doors, right?

Sonny Chambers snorted, "You think only you can call people? I called soone too."

Paige frowned, asking Sonny, "Who did you call?"

Does she even need soone’s help for this kind of thing? Ridiculous.

Sonny, raising his chin, said, "I called Burt Chambers."

Paige contorted, "What good is calling him?"

Is he supposed to co and show off?

Sonny said, "Calling anyone wouldn’t be of any use, you can handle ten people by yourself, I’m just calling him to make it a fairer match."

Paige, "..."

Burt Chambers didn’t show up, but that woman’s husband did.

Paige saw that he was indeed from Penson, though only a deputy manager, directly promoted by the departnt manager.

Such personnel promotions only needed to be reported to her once, she usually didn’t make the decisions.

The man ca in, frowning unhappily at his wife, "I was working, what’s going on? Why has it escalated to the police station?"

The woman imdiately began to explain the whole situation tearfully, "I didn’t want to disturb you at work, but look at your precious son all injured, if you didn’t co, who knows what kind of abuse we’d have suffered..."

The man imdiately turned his gaze to Paige, "Was it you people bullying my wife and son?"

He didn’t wait for Paige to say anything, imdiately adding, "Miss, you’d better give a satisfactory answer for hitting my wife and son, otherwise I have no problem resorting to legal procedures to protect my wife and son’s basic rights!"

He spoke with righteous indignation, assuming soone like Paige would get scared when hearing about legal actions or the judiciary.

But instead, Paige replied coldly, "I also recomnd legal procedures. My brother may look fine now, but he was convulsing after being hit by your wife, possibly even having a concussion. Considering your family’s unreasonable behavior, legal procedures seem to be the only way."

His wife hadn’t ntioned any of this to him.

He looked at his wife, who said imdiately, "I didn’t hit anyone, they’re trying to extort us because they know our family is well-off. Don’t believe them!"

The woman added, "Maybe they saw I was dressed well and know we’re wealthy, that’s why they set a trap for ."

The more she thought about it, the more she believed it, "People these days will do anything for money."

Sonny Chambers rolled his eyes, "Who cares about your money? Do you know how much my sister earns in a day? You couldn’t earn that much in a lifeti."

The woman sarcastically interjected, "Oh, so impressive? Wonder how those earnings co by."
