Chapter 105: Chapter 105
"I feel like things are missing but we can test those later. Right now, I’m sure you have questions about how I have so mories back but I don’t have the answers. I just finally made out the face of soone and then everything clicked. I couldn’t see their faces fully before and I thought it was Beth but I had seen her that day," said Veronica.
Veronica was speaking too fast for Liam to understand all she was saying. He was stuck on the part where she said that she rembered. Even if she didn’t rember every single detail about her life he didn’t mind as long as she rembered what happened between them.
Liam walked toward Veronica to give her the tablets and the water. "So, how much do you rember about us?"
"I rember how much you would try to convince
to sell my old apartnt and how you tried to buy one in the building so you could be near. I rember us celebrating our engagent by enjoying too much wine and scaring Jero who had to drop off sothing for you. I rember that you made the offer to leave the city with
and go sowhere far," Veronica said, knowing that at the very least, she rembered five years’ worth of mories.
"We need to go see my doctor first thing tomorrow or could I call him now because part of
is freaking out. I’ve wondered before what would happen if I was put in a situation like this and I thought I could handle it well but thinking about it is nothing like being in that position," Veronica said, getting to her feet just as Liam stood before her.
Liam embraced Veronica. He loved her regardless but he was happy to have the woman that he knew back.
Veronica placed her arms around Liam’s waist. "You did good. It must have been hard to have to put up with your wife not knowing who you are. You dealt with it better than I might have. I might have been crying from the mont you didn’t rember
until now."
"I really want to kiss you but I am freezing my ass off here," Veronica said, starting to shiver from the wet clothes she had on. "Can you lend
your shirt? You still owe
a strip tease so this is perfect."
Liam laughed. "You’re never going to forget that, are you?"
"Of course not," Veronica replied, putting her arms around his neck. "If I ever lose my mories again, I promise you the one thing I am going to rember is how you promised
to strip but you didn’t finish it. That was disappointing. I had no idea how much of a big deal it was then. I would have had a cara.
Liam rested his head on her shoulder. This was how he knew that Veronica was back. She was always bold like this once she was comfortable with you.
"Forget what I said about being cold. I want a kiss now. I’ve been deprived of kisses from you," Veronica said, stepping back so she could see his face.
Veronica didn’t want Liam to make the first move to kiss. She wasn’t a stranger to kissing him as she liked. The quick innocent kisses weren’t enough for her anymore. Veronica wanted to be closer to Liam. She wanted to feel her body heat up from their bodies touching each other.
"It has been too long," Veronica said in between the kisses. She bit his lip, enjoying the sound of him groaning in pain.
She always refused to let it be only Liam getting his way whenever they kissed.
Veronica smiled when Liam matched her need to be more intimate. He kissed her like a starving man finally getting his al. His body was pressed to her body, soaking in all the water from her damp clothes.
Veronica had to step back to balance herself before she fell. Liam was pushing her to be pressed against sothing but there wasn’t a bed in the room.
Veronica was the one to turn away from the kiss. The room didn’t have any heat so she got colder by the second with her dress still on. She turned around for Liam to help her out of her dress. "Is there any room where I can take a shower with warm water? Now is not the ti for
to be getting sick. Your grandfather was the one who ordered for
to be killed."
"Liam!" Veronica exclaid after hearing a ripping sound. "I only wore this dress tonight. That was a lot of money wasted."
Liam didn’t an to. She had surprised him by ntioning his grandfather out of the blue. It didn’t cross his mind that with her mories back she knew what happened to her. "I’m sorry," he apologised. "I pulled the zip too hard. He was there on the boat?"
"No," Veronica shook her head. "That man who is always around him was. I’ve t your grandfather a few tis. So I told you about and others I didn’t. The last ti I saw him, he threatened
to leave your side. Before he tried to offer
money but he must have only decided to do that one ti."
She continued, "I can never forget the face of the man who is always with him like how Jero is with you. He was the one who pushed
and leaned over to see that I was going down. It was him and two other n present. I was eting with Beth in a park and that was where I had been taken from."
Veronica assud she was being followed for a perfect mont to take her.
"What the hell did you need to et with Beth for?" Liam asked.
"My mother had been asking for money for that building and just for her to use. I said no and that I was ready to cut her off publicly so no one would call her my mother. Evelyn must have vented to Beth because then Beth contacted
threatening to release stories Evelyn told her and that whole ss about an affair," said Veronica.
Veronica believed the affair to be nothing more than sothing Beth created but if it ca out from Beth’s mouth then it would spread like wildfire because, to the public, they were family so many would think there was so truth to it.
"I knew about Nora liking you but I couldn’t say anything about it. I had to hear about it from Beth and then she ntioned my father. I had been looking for him at the ti so I wanted to hear what she had to say. I’m sorry for not leaning on you more,’ Veronica said, greatly regretting her actions. ’I’m just so used to having to do things myself."
Veronica turned around to face Liam now that the dress was to her ankles. "I will get rid of that apartnt. I don’t need it when we have our ho. In what felt like my final monts, Iwas so scared thinking about you having to hear that I died. I didn’t want to put you through that. If that other boat wasn’t there then..." she trailed off, even more afraid since she rembered every detail.
The mory was worse than the dreams.
Liam hugged Veronica to comfort her. "They were right where they needed to be to save you. You should appreciate being alive and not think about dying."
