Suddenly being left alone, lody looked lost for a while.

"This... what should I be doing now?"

Thinking of it, there’s really nothing for her to do.

Since the soldiers and the others just left, there are no injured fighters yet.

So, lody is quite free right now.

Looking around, her eyes turned to look at those guards above the town wall.

"Hmm, maybe I can go there for a while and watch how the battle goes?"

When that thought ca to her mind, lody’s eyes lit up.

As a person from earth, she has never seen a beast tide before.

Because of that, she can’t help but feel a tinge of curiosity in her mind.

So she approached a nearby soldier and asked whether she could climb up the wall.

After receiving a positive reply, she didn’t waste any ti and imdiately headed on top of the wall.

Soon, she arrived and the sight outside the wall beca visible to her.

"Wow... what is that...?"

The first thing that ca to her sight is the 10 ter tall feathery creature that seems to be blocking monsters from the other side.

"That’s a... chicken?"

Thinking of chicken, the image of Kyson suddenly flashed in her mind.

At the sa ti, a familiar figure appeared in her line of sight.

"That’s Roast!"

Below the giant chicken, lody found Roast breathing out fire to the monsters.

His fire burnt monsters after monsters, clearing out a huge number of them in a small amount of ti.

"Wow, Roast is actually so powerful..."

Back at the potion shop, lody didn’t really take Roast seriously.

She just thought that he was a chicken that can use the fire elent.

However, she never would have thought that Roast’s fire elent skills are actually this strong!

For a mont, lody fell fascinated by Roast firepower.

After a while, her eyes finally caught sight of Kyson.

"That’s that guy... What was his na?"

Thinking for a while, lody realized that she actually didn’t know his na at all.

During the ti they were at the potion shop, Grandmaster Virgo only called him boy or kid.

Because of that, she didn’t hear his na throughout the whole ti they were together.

"This... he saved earlier and I don’t even know his na..."

Thinking of this, lody felt a little embarrassed.

"Alright. Once this is over, I will introduce myself to him and also ask for his na."

"And if it’s convenient, maybe I can also treat him to a al as thanks for what he did for ..."

Nodding her head as she planned, lody managed to get rid of her embarrassnt and turned her attention back to the battle.

Watching for a while, lody can’t help but feel impressed at Kyson.

"His tad beasts are so powerful. I wonder where he found them."

...

While lody is standing at the town wall, the group of soldiers and adventurers stopped just a few ters behind Kyson.

Captain Nevir at the lead walked up to Kyson.

"Is there anything we can do to help?"

Kyson looked at him, then glanced at the group of soldiers and adventurers behind.

He considered it for a while and said, "You guys can just do what you’re used to doing."

"You don’t have to mind or anything. I’ll just fight here with my tad beasts."

After hearing that, Captain Nevir nodded.

"Understood. We won’t get in your way."

Turning around, he faced the group behind and said, "Soldiers and fellow citizens of Vitri Town. Listen up!"

"Now, we are about to fight the beast tide for the sake of our town. The sa town that we grew up in. The town that holds our mories. And most especially, the town that houses our loved ones."

"So now, pick up your arms and protect Vitri Town with . Fight off the beast tide with all your might."

"Now, charge!"

""Hoorahhhh!!""

At Nevir’s signal, everyone rushed towards the monsters and started fighting them in groups.

The ones they targeted are those monsters who are outside the scope of Chicky’s wings.

Chicky’s wingspan is only 15 ters wide. For the whole beast tide, it was actually not enough to block all of them.

So it’s unavoidable that there are a lot that slipped the net.

Anyway, the adventurers seed familiar with each other and fought monsters in small groups.

On the other hand, the soldiers fought more like a one whole being.

With great coordination that ca from getting along for a long ti, the efficiency of killing monsters is pretty high.

So with the addition of their group, less and less monsters attacked Chicky.

If you look at it from an outsider’s perspective, it looks like they relieved so of the burden on Kyson.

But in reality, it actually didn’t do anything. Instead, it actually slowed down the accumulation of experience points for Kyson.

After all, not even one of those monsters could even cause actual damage to Chicky.

However, it’s not like their participation was without any use.

With the addition of the soldiers and adventurers, the killing of low level monsters was noticeable sped up.

Thanks to this, Kyson soon faced the higher level monsters that were standing at the back of the beast tide.

Soon, the first high level monster appeared in front of Kyson.

"Roarrrr!"

A winged white tiger roared loudly and pounced on Chicky..

White light gathered at the claws of the winged white tiger and suddenly, it waved in front of Chicky.

Three claw marks slashed forward and rushed to Chicky’s lower body.

Boom!

When it landed on Chicky, it caused an explosion of energy.

Unfortunately for it...

Chicky remained the sa as before. Standing there with his wings widely stretched.

Chicky only glanced at the winged white tiger below him before turning his eyes away.

Feeling that gaze, the winged white tiger felt insulted.

"ROAAAAR!!"

I crouched on the ground, opened its mouth, and roared.

Its voice resounded all over the place. It even caused so of the soldiers and adventurers to feel dizzy for a mont.

Kyson also looked at it with interest.

"Hmm, this tiger is acting too fierce. Roast, burn it."

At Kyson’s order, Roast imdiately took action.
