Hearing her voice, Kyson was a bit surprised that she spoke to him.

Fortunately, he’s not a taciturn kind of guy.

He replied, "Uh, yeah, hi."

lody walked inside and closed the door.

Since Kyson is the only one here, she can only talk to him.

So, she asked, "Have you seen the owner of this place?"

"Master Virgo?" Kyson asked.

lody nodded, "Yeah, that should be him."

After hearing her words, Kyson imdiately called with a loud voice at the door behind the counter.

"Master Virgo, you have another guest here!"

Soon, the sound of footsteps walking out from inside the door sounded.

The old figure of Master Virgo once again appeared from inside.

"What did you say, Kid? What guest?"

Just as his words ended, his eyes landed on lody.

lody imdiately bowed slightly, looking polite.

"Good morning, Master Virgo. I am here on a mission from the Adventurer Agency."

Her words surprised Kyson. He can’t help but start overthinking.

’Eh, did our mission duplicate or sothing? What am I supposed to do in this situation?’

’Should I give up this mission?’

While such thoughts are running inside Kyson’s mind, Master Virgo faced lody and asked,

"What is your mission?"

"It’s the mission [Assist in Potion Making] that you requested, sir."

Master Virgo glanced at Kyson imperceptibly, then turned his attention back at lody.

"Can you let take a look at it?"

lody showed the details of her mission from her card to Master Virgo.

Soon, a look of enlightennt appeared on his face.

"Oh, so it’s this mission. I just requested it, but wasn’t really expecting anyone to accept it."

After saying that, he looked at both Kyson and lody, and said,

"You two, co and follow inside the room. I’ll tell you what the two of you will be doing there."

Master Virgo turned around and went back inside the room.

Kyson and lody looked at each other, then followed Master Virgo.

...

When Kyson and lody walk inside the room, what they see can only be called a laboratory.

All kinds of apparatus could be seen going around the room. Vials after vials are placed everywhere, filled with all kinds of potions.

Tables filled with potions, that’s what Kyson and lody saw.

Then at the center of everything, a huge pot was hanging.

At this mont, the pot is empty, but soot is covering it.

With just one look, Kyson concluded that this was the one that caused the explosion earlier.

He glanced at Master Virgo and thought, ’From his words earlier, it seems he failed with sothing...’

"Boy, co here."

Master Virgo suddenly called Kyson, beckoning at him.

Walking up to him, Kyson heard Master Virgo say,

"Maybe you already guessed it based on the requirents of your mission, but you have to be responsible for outputting fire for his pot."

He looked at him straight in the eye as he continued,

"This task is not a simple matter. You need to have great control over your fire in order to not make the concoction inside the pot explode later."

"With that said, can you do it?"

Suddenly being asked like this, Kyson couldn’t answer.

Instead, he turned his attention to Roast on the ground and asked, "Can you control your fire precisely, Roast?"

"Cluck, Cluck!"

Roast looked at Kyson and nodded, patting his chest with his wing, as if to say ’leave it to !’.

After getting Roast’s response, Kyson then answered Master Virgo.

"My tad beast said he can control it."

But when Kyson raised his head, he found Master Virgo looking down, staring at Roast.

Similarly, lody’s attention is also on Roast at this ti, looking curious.

While his eyes were still on Roast, Master Virgo suddenly spoke.

"This tad beast of yours is of fire-elent, right?"

"Do you consider selling it?"

He raised his head and looked at Kyson.

Master Virgo’s question suddenly ca out of nowhere, stunning Kyson for a second.

But Kyson imdiately shook his head.

"No, I’m not considering such a thing. I won’t ever do such a thing."

He firmly said, his face looking serious.

At his answer, Master Virgo just sighed, but didn’t look too disappointed.

"Sigh... too bad. It’s hard to find such an intelligent beast. Add to that its fire-elent abilities, it’s the perfect companion pet for a Potion Master like ."

"Oh well, all I can say is that we’re not fated."

After saying that, Master Virgo didn’t linger on the topic anymore and turned his eyes to lody.

"As for you, what you need to do is much simpler."

"Originally, the purpose why I submitted the request you took is to help control the fire to regulate the temperature."

"But since that kid’s tad beast seems confident, you’ll only be responsible for cooling down the pot when I order you to."

"Can I leave that to you?"

lody nodded, "Yes, Master Virgo!"

Master Virgo nodded in satisfaction.

"Now then, we will go for a test try before we proceed with the creation of the potion that I wanted to make."

Taking out so materials from a cabinet under one of the tables, Master Virgo laid everything on top of the table.

"Now then, let’s get started."

Imdiately, Master Virgo’s deanor seems to have undergone a change.

Earlier, facing Kyson and lody, Master Virgo actually didn’t look anything special.

Just looking at him, he only gives an impression of a grumpy old man down in the neighborhood.

However, now that he’s facing his own profession, the dignity that is hidden inside him suddenly started radiating outside.

Kyson looked at him with shock in his eyes.

But the next mont, he also stabilized his mood and prepared himself.

Although the one who will be doing all the work is Roast, Kyson needs to order him for everything.

And so, with one old man, one young woman, and one young man... and also a chicken, they surrounded a pot and started doing their work.

Master Virgo’s solemn voice then sounded in the room.

"Light the fire!"
