The Guide is Actually a Body-Switching Esper [BL] Chapter 200: Hurricane

The main hall was in a state of complete, absolute chaos. The front doors were blasted out of their hinges, the chandelier was torn off the ceiling, the furniture all toppled over, broken into pieces, the glass shattered. As if a hurricane had just passed through.

And in the middle of it all, stood a woman, fifty-sothing years old or so, her billowed light brown hair with silver streaks giving her a wild and free appearance. She was resting her hands on her hips, wearing a defiant look, as she faced Cyrus, Miles, and Catherine.

Lane crept closer to the damaged balustrade, trying to get a better look. It was the first ti he had seen her, he was sure of that... And yet, she looked sowhat familiar...

It took a mont before it hit him. Grandmother Diana! The strange woman looked just like his grandmother did in the pictures, except that much older. Of course, she couldn’t possibly be Diana, who had passed away when Uncle Jordan was just one year old, but...

"What do you want?" Cyrus asked coldly, interrupting Lane’s train of thought. "Why did you co back here?"

The woman ignored his question, turning her eyes to Miles. "I see your son has grown to be just like you, down to every bit. Is that Miles? Or Jordan? Should be Miles, right?"

At the top of the staircase, high above their heads, Lane suddenly choked. An enormous pressure was pulling him down, taking over his brain, to the point he thought he might lose his mind. It was Cyrus’ ability, Domination, considered to be one of the most powerful abilities to appear so far, an ability that could even affect most of the other S-rankers, while for a civilian such as Lane, it was overwhelming and suffocating, paralyzing his whole body... Even now, when it wasn’t directed at him, and he was just hit by an accident, he could hardly remain conscious by clenching his fists so hard his nails dug into the soft flesh of his palms.

And yet, the strange woman, who was clearly Cyrus’ main target, remained unmoved, only smirking at the man’s efforts.

"Is that your so-called Domination? How cute! It almost tickles !" she mocked, wrapping a lock of her hair around her finger, as a blast of wind swirled around her, picking up all the rubble scattered around.

So SHE was the hurricane that had passed. Lane had already expected that much, but... Seeing her activate her ability, while completely resisting Cyrus at the sa ti...

It was just WOW. He was at a loss for words, and could only stare at the woman with sparkling eyes. If only he could be like her...

Unexpectedly, the woman lifted her head, and their eyes t. Then, she gave Lane a smile... Before she could say anything though, Cyrus spoke first.

"Get to the point," he uttered, gritting his teeth, trying to maintain a calm front, even though it was all too obvious he was disturbed by how his ability didn’t work. "What do you want? More money? You should have just sent a ssage, and we would have made a transfer."

"Money? Hah, no thanks!" the woman scoffed. "I have enough, I don’t need anything else."

"Then what?"

"Nothing big..." She paused, before flashing Cyrus a wide smile. "I just want to wipe you and your whole company off the face of the Earth!"

"Crazy as always, I see. I should have never married you."

"Well, that’s what I’ve always said!" the woman scoffed. "But NO, you just had to force it anyway, just so that you could snatch my parents’ company, huh?"

Cyrus ignored the woman’s - who seed to be Lane’s supposedly dead grandmother, Diana, sohow? - snarky comnts, and just pointed out, "We had a deal."

Only for Diana to shrug her shoulders with a smirk. "So what? The world is changing now, our deal has expired! Now..." She raised her hand, the wind swirling around her picking up speed.

However, at that mont, a group of people charged into the hall through the blasted front doors. Aunt Gracie with her husband, accompanied by more than ten Awakened guards that the Allens currently employed. They had heard about the incident, and ca to support Cyrus, Miles, and Catherine in dealing with Diana.

The goal, naturally, was to capture the woman. Diana quickly realized it, and before they could try to overwhelm her with their numbers, she shot up into the air, riding on her wind, and flew up the stairs, flashing Lane a smile as she passed over him. There, she waved her hand, lifting a cabinet and crashing the window at the end of the hallway with it to open a way for herself...

And just like that, in re seconds, she was gone, leaving only chaos and destruction behind.

"Damn it!" Cyrus swore out loud, losing his temper a bit. His ability intensified, sweeping through the whole hall, and sending everyone to their knees. "Search for her, RIGHT NOW!" he ordered, gritting his teeth.

"And Nyla, Lane, both of you, back to your rooms!"

Lane flinched, and turned his head back with difficulty. Nyla was not far behind him, also sprawled on the floor, unable to resist the Domination. It was no wonder, of course - all the noise that Diana made could have woken up the dead - but Lane had been so absorbed in the scene, that he hadn’t even realized when his sister arrived.

Not that it mattered. She wouldn’t even et his gaze, only dragged herself back to her feet, and stumbled toward her room.

Lane scoffed, and turned his eyes back to the scene below. He was too curious about it to just leave... But eventually, when Cyrus focused his ability on him, he had no choice but to move.

Because Domination wasn’t just about the PRESSURE, it also had an elent of CONTROL. While Cyrus couldn’t exactly force anyone to follow his orders... What he could do was to cause them extre pain if they defied him.

And as an ordinary teenage boy, it wasn’t sothing Lane could endure. Not wanting to faint from the pain, he had no choice but to crawl back to his room, as much as he hated it.

Well, even if not now, he would find out what was going on eventually anyway.
