"The number of City Pearls correlates to the number of floors we can initially enter in the Legacy Tower before we have to pass trials to move to the higher floors. For example, if we had one City Pearl, we could only enter the first ten floors. After that we would have to pass a trial to move to the eleventh floor and so on. Those City Pearls take a long ti to form so during the two previous tis our Clan has entered the dinsion we’ve only managed to enter the first two hundred floors."
After Ushi’s sudden explanation, Sol hesitated but eventually asked.
"How many floors are there?"
Ushi looked up at Sol and said dimly.
"We don’t know, but it likely surpasses a thousand floors."
Sol and the others sucked in a cold breath of air when they heard that. This ant that Alternative Magic might not be the only thing in this Legacy Tower, but rather what was inside the first two hundred floors the Miura Clan entered.
However, even Cian was secretly shocked by that number as their Magic Tower only had a few hundred floors.
Ushi’s expression had beco sowhat blank after saying that and he leaned on Yoon-jae’s shoulder for more support.
Did his Ancestor truly rob the Western Continent’s Magic Tower? Ushi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
On the other hand, if this was true, he wanted to know how his Ancestor accomplished this when the two Continents had always been separated. It was said in old records that even those powerful existences in the Era of Immortal Deities couldn’t cross the barrier.
"*Snort*...Who cares if it’s stolen or not? Since it’s inside our Shadow Dinsion then it’s ours now, and I need to... Ugh."
Ushi suddenly groaned and clutched his head. Forcefully controlling the Lunar Energy with his bloodline tattoo had more than exhausted his Soul Energy. It felt like he could slip into unconsciousness the mont he relaxed.
"It looks like you’re hurt worse than I thought. Lie down."
Yoon-jae said as he sat down and positioned Ushi to rest his head on his crossed legs. However, Ushi protested and tried to get up.
"No, I have sothing important to do before those bastards enter the dinsion."
However, Ushi’s arms gave out as he tried to get up and he fell back down. He could barely move his limbs, but he really needed to get up.
Yoon-jae placed his hands on Ushi’s chest and stopped him from forcing himself. He then looked down at him and asked.
"So you really had a reason to enter the dinsion before everyone else."
Everyone looked at Ushi in slight surprise. Ushi seeing this sighed and then revealed his thoughts.
"I wanted to enter before everyone and tell my Clan mbers inside the dinsion to collect a few resources from the treasure lands. After waiting for so long how can I allow our Clan mbers on the outside to go empty-handed? I should at the very least get so resources for them."
"Wait, you have Clan mbers living inside the dinsion?!"
Woo-seong asked with a yell as he looked at Ushi in shock.
It wasn’t only Woo-seong that was surprised, the others were startled by the news as well.
If the Miura Clan had mbers inside the dinsion, didn’t that an these people were stuck inside this place for two thousand years? Or perhaps for even four thousand years! Plus, Ushi had just explained the dangers inside the dinsion, and that they run rampant without the sunlight that ca from the Lunar Eclipse.
Ushi chuckled and explained.
"It’s indeed dangerous in the dinsion without the Lunar Eclipse, but the cities have barriers that keep out the beasts and the corrosive darkness. Our Clan mbers that chose to stay inside are extrely safe."
"But if you had Clan mbers in here for two thousand or even four thousand years, why have you only entered the first two hundred floors of the Legacy Tower?"
Yoon-jae asked.
"Well, the City Pearls only appear during the Lunar Eclipse. But enough of that. It’s ntioned in the ssage that the dinsion is open as long as the Lunar Eclipse lasts, which is two weeks. We don’t have ti to waste, I should-"
"Don’t even think about moving in your condition."
Yoon-jae said while stopping Ushi from getting up once again.
"From the state of those Spatial Fluctuations, those outside won’t be entering anyti soon, so you’ll have enough ti to rest before visiting those Clan mbers."
Woo-seong suddenly thought of sothing and he said.
"It’s said that there’s no advantage in entering the dinsion early, but wouldn’t it be better if we capture those City Pearls and enter the Legacy Tower before anyone else?"
Cian spoke up in response to that.
"What about the points to move on to the next tournant? We wouldn’t be able to collect them if we entered the Tower too early."
"The Legacy Tower also doesn’t allow entry even with the City Pearl until the final week."
Ushi added afterward.
"Then our best choice in this situation is to capture a city and wait for our Alchemy Disciples to enter before gathering them there."
Yoon-jae suggested and everyone nodded. However, Sol, who had been silent, suddenly raised his hand and said with an apologetic smile.
"Sorry, but I have to enter seclusion for a while."
"Brother Sol, are you injured?"
Woo-seong asked with surprise and worry, though he sowhat doubted his own question given Sol’s Innate Dharma ability.
As Woo-seong thought, Sol shook his head and explained.
"I have... uh... So things I want to figure out, and I need so ti to sort out my thoughts."
"How long will that take?"
Yoon-jae asked and Sol hesitated for a bit then said.
"Around three or four days."
Everyone beca slightly alard when they heard that Sol would take that long to resolve this matter. If they waited that long the disciples would have entered and occupied the cities already. They’d also be way behind in collecting points as well. However, more than that, they were worried about Sol’s condition that warranted him staying in seclusion for that long.
Seeing their worried expressions, Sol waved his hands and said.
"No, I’m fine really. I just have so ideas on how to improve my runes after that battle with Altair and Quilt."
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when they heard that.
Yoon-jae thought for a mont then said.
"This is a part of your plan, isn’t it? Just do what you have to do, we’ll gather the Alchemy Disciples when they enter and after you co out of seclusion you can tell us your entire plan then."
Woo-seong and Cian were surprised at that. They weren’t as close to Sol as Yoon-jae or even Ushi, so they couldn’t tell when he was cooking up a sche.
Sol grinned at Yoon-jae’s words before saying.
"I still can’t forgive those two, but I need to enter seclusion so what happened at the dinsion’s entrance doesn’t happen again."
Yoon-jea nodded, and the others all agreed to wait for Sol. However, just as Sol was about to leave Ushi seed to rember sothing and he hurriedly said.
"Wait, Second Eldest Brother I have sothing to say."
Hearing this Sol stopped and turned to looked Ushi.
"Second Eldest Brother, be careful of the shadows cast by the sunlight. The ghosts that enter the inner region could be hiding within them."
Sol’s body imdiately stiffened when he heard that, but he soon forced a smile and said.
"Youngest brother, you can’t fool this ti. I’m going now."
After saying that, Sol dashed off.
However, despite his words, if one looked closely, they would be able to see that Sol was avoiding the especially large shadows cast by the forest trees.
Ushi burst out laughing when he saw this, but quickly after he had to stop so as to not worsen his ntal exhaustion.
Cian and Woo-seong also couldn’t help but smile, but they soon went off in different directions. They decided to wait for Sol, but they wanted to explore the Shadow Dinsion while they waited.
Yoon-jae and Ushi were now left alone. Ushi had already made himself comfortable with his body half leaning on Yoon-jae and half lying on the ground.
Yoon-jae didn’t seem to mind, but he looked down at Ushi and suddenly said.
"Fifteen points added for bringing us into the dinsion, and five points deducted for sticking to ."
Ushi, whose eyes were closed suddenly snapped open. He looked up at Yoon-jae, his eyes twinkled as he said.
"That makes it seventy-eight... Eldest brother, I’m almost at a hundred, you better not go back on your words. I might really die this ti if you did that, haha..."
Ushi chuckled before he suddenly turned to wrap his hands around Yoon-jae and bury his face in his torso.
Yoon-jae frowned and said.
"Five points deducted."
Ushi, however, didn’t seem to mind the points deducted as he rely smiled and closed his eyes. It didn’t take more than a second for him to lose consciousness after he completely relaxed.
Upon seeing this, Yoon-jae rolled his eyes but he didn’t bother moving him. He even patted Ushi’s hair and inwardly wished him peaceful dreams.
