Yoon-jae looked over at Sol and then said with a chuckle.
"Sol, you can’t interfere with the ball after it has crossed the net to our side."
Sol, who had both hands glowing with Fist Intent, looked surprised at his words. Scratching his cheek, he said apologetically.
"Sorry, I didn’t know."
Yoon-jae reached down and picked up the ball while explaining.
"This is a foul on your part so that’s one point for us. We’ll also get to start the ga this ti. Oh, as for the point scoring, we’re keeping it simple and it’s first to six points."
Sol nodded, and Yoon-jae threw the ball towards Cian who was at the back. Cian caught the ball, and he looked at it before glancing at Sol on the other side of the net with a forced smile.
The others must have realized it as he had, but Sol’s ability was too much of a cheat in this ga.
However, Cian composed himself, before he threw the ball into the air and jumped up a bit to forcefully slap it. The ball shot towards Sol’s side of the net, but before it could get across the net, a translucent golden hand appeared out of nowhere and smacked it back over the net.
The ball was about to hit the ground so close to the net it would be hard for soone to react in ti. However, Ushi’s eyes flickered along with his bloodline tattoo slightly hidden by the Shadowband around his forehead.
Before the ball could touch the ground, the shadow of the ball created by the burning sun extended upward and stopped it. The ball rebounded, and Cheong-su moved, jumping up he smacked it over the net towards the feet of Mar-Dule, who was watching the ga’s proceedings with a shocked look on his face. Not even a breath’s worth of ti had passed since Cian served that ball, but he already found it hard to keep up with the ga. The others were the sa.
However, despite Mar-Dule’s inaction, a golden hand appeared below his feet stopping the ball. As the ball rebounded upward into the air, another hand then appeared and smacked it over the net.
Yoon-jae moved and intercepted the ball, which rebounded and perfectly made its way over to Ushi, who didn’t hesitate to jump up and spiked the ball over the net once again.
But regardless of the angle or speed of the ball as it ca over to Sol’s side of the net, a golden hand would appear and smack it back to their side. It was to the point that multiple golden hands numbering over a dozen were appearing simultaneously to Yoon-jae and the others’ horror.
Soon, it wasn’t long until it beca too much for Yoon-jae and the others to handle and the ball ultimately hit the ground. But this one-sided onslaught continued until Yoon-jae’s team ultimately lost 1:6.
Mar-Dule, Woo-seong, and Dae Han could only stand there and watch silently as Sol singlehandedly scored point after point before eventually winning the ga on his own.
But the thing was, Sol still looked depressed with his shoulders slumped as he thrashed Yoon-jae and the others. This let the others know how effortlessly he had won.
The disciples who were watching this ga from afar all cheered in the distance upon seeing Sol’s solo performance.
"Are we going again?"
Sol asked as Yoon-jae and the others sat on the ground gasping for air. Only they knew how draining it was to stay so focused on intercepting Sol’s spikes and rebounds. It felt like they were playing against hundreds of people and not just one person.
But there was one thing that made them really confused and angry, and that was how Sol was able to easily manipulate those hands to attack and block. At tis it even felt like he was seeing the future as sotis a hand would appear near the net to block the ball before Ushi or Yoon-jae had even jumped to spike the ball. It was simply insane! How could they not be ntally and physically exhausted?
Yoon-jae looked at Sol and said begrudgingly.
"Why bother? You can go back to what you were doing before, how annoying."
Sol gave a bitter smile, but he didn’t object as he walked off to where Cheong-san and Hua-yin were sitting. Popping the cork on his wine gourd he took a large swig as he made his way over.
"Brother Sol, that was amazing! Did you form those projections from your Fist Intent? But how can you use it so fluidly? It’s almost as if you can form any number you want, I can’t imagine how effective that kind of ability is in battle. Also, can you perhaps predict the future? Is that how you’re able to use those hands so effectively?"
Cheong-san started showering Sol with questions and praises as soon as he sat down. Hua-yin also nodded repeatedly, as even for her she had never seen a Martial Skill like that before. Neither in her Ei Sect nor among any of the Martial Art Techniques in the other Clans or Sects.
Sol’s eyes sparked a bit, a contrast to his usually depressed mood. He then said with a smile.
"It’s sothing I thought of during my months-long seclusion, but what I just showed was just a small part of it. Maybe during the Tournant, I’ll et an opponent that’ll make display it fully. If that ti cos, even the great powers who will be watching the Two Continents Tournant will be shaken!"
Cheong-san smiled, he thought Sol was just bragging but he wanted to praise him again since this was cheering him up, however, before he could Mar-Dule and the others suddenly called him over to fill in for Sol.
However, unlike Cheong-san who thought Sol was bragging, Hua-yin could not help but take Sol’s words to heart. From her observations, Sol wasn’t the type of person to speak so brazenly even if was rely a joke. She felt that he was completely serious.
Hua-yin wasn’t going to participate in the tournant, but she suddenly couldn’t wait to watch it.
Sol and Hua-yin were left under the shade of the umbrella, and the two chatted as they watched the ga. However, soti later, Sol suddenly felt a sharp aura lock onto him. The aura was so abrupt and fierce that it caused his body to jolt.
Turning his head swiftly, Sol looked into the distant horizon and saw two figures about five Kiloters away flying over in this direction. Even without his Heavenly Eyes activated Sol recognized one of the two people to be Beyond-ho. As for the youth next to him, the one who was taphorically and quite possibly literally staring daggers at him from such a far distance away, Sol wasn’t familiar with him, but he knew him quite well.
Among the Sword Geniuses in this generation, three people stood out. Byeong-ho was the leading figure among them while Woo-seong was lagging at third. This youth was in second place in terms of talent for the Sword, and his na was Namgung Yuji. A person so obsessed with the sword that he was given the moniker Sword Fanatic.
However, Sol frowned as he had never personally t this youth, yet he was directing such a strong desire to battle that he felt it from such a distance away.
But at the very least there was no intent to kill in his gaze, which was nice for Sol since he seed close to Byeong-ho.
