Chapter 338: Chapter 8: The Curse of Lord Cangbai

After crossing a massive canyon rift.

The whole world suddenly flipped, and ng Ji saw the other side of this world.

It was like a chessboard; the place where ng Ji had been was actually the back of the world.

When she, under Owo’s guidance, crossed the edge gorge of the world’s back, she ca to the front side of this world.

This is a world full of sunshine, abundant in rain, and brimming with traces of civilization.

However, the most striking feature of the front world is still the giant tree in the center that almost reaches out to touch the sun.

Or more precisely, the sun of this world is supported by that towering tree.

Like a pillar supporting the heaven and earth, the towering tree pierces the clouds, making this world’s sun hang high in the sky.

And that sun is also the only symtrical object in this world, constantly emitting the holy light of the Source of Life.

Yes, there is no distinction between day and night on the front side of the world, and the sun at the top of the towering tree illuminates this world constantly.

Only by hiding in the back of the world does the holy light gradually dim, showcasing a kind of dim, gloomy hue.

It is this light that brought about the "birth ceremony" of dark life like Xiaohai.

Afterward, Dark Life will continuously hunt the creatures on the back of the world, devouring their twisted souls, to beco individuals truly adaptable to the light of the front world.

Then, those Dark Life forms will cross the canyon rift to continue hunting all life they encounter on the front side of the world.

No one knows their purpose, and no one knows how they were born...

Dark Life resembles a group of greedy Demons, devouring all the twisted souls they can reach.

This is Owo’s description of Dark Life.

He calls them "Void Creatures" — terrifying demons that can never fill the emptiness inside.

In ng Ji’s view, this is a description loaded with strong personal beliefs.

Because she never believed there were creatures born solely to devour souls; the evolution of life has always been for survival, not killing.

Fortunately, ng Ji did not intend to refute Owo’s thinking.

Rather than correcting ideas and beliefs already entrenched in others’ minds, ng Ji prefers to watch them hit a brick wall.

And it was through the exchange with Owo that ng Ji gradually unfolded the actions she had taken before the mory loss.

.........................................................

ng Ji arrived in this world much earlier than she imagined.

When ng Ji ca to this world, the spatio-temporal disorder on the singular ark was not yet severe.

Every twist in ti and space and each birth of a dark creature caused the singular ark to slightly coincide with the earth.

If calculated by the number of dark creature births, the singular ark experienced at least a thousand births of dark creatures to cause the current scale of spatio-temporal disorder.

The initially ng Ji explored the back of the world and encountered the twisted Life that was also born there — Owo.

At that ti, Owo was being hunted by Dark Life and was about to beco their growth food.

In that critical mont, ng Ji appeared silently and killed that Dark Life.

Of course, ng Ji did not kill that Dark Life to save Owo; she simply wanted to research Dark Life’s evolution and transformation.

The result was that Owo clung to ng Ji since then, tailing her as she crossed the canyon rift to the front side of the world.

From initial neglect to familiarity later on...

During this process, Owo gradually understood ng Ji’s origins and the events that occurred in this world.

According to ng Ji’s own statent at the ti, she ca from an Exotic Realm beyond this world, not solely because she was lost.

When passing by the edge of this world, ng Ji seed to hear a kind of mystical call for help.

Partly out of curiosity and partly due to the great Creator’s guidance...

ng Ji chose to traverse the world’s barrier, descending into this twisted dual world.

Subsequent events developed just as Owo described earlier.

Following ng Ji, they almost traversed the worlds’ reverse sides, witnessing wars and wonders beyond ordinary imagination.

Initially, this world was not like it is now.

At that ti, the world was still normal, not forcibly divided into two sides, nor were there twisted, violent Life forms.

The legendary Gods governed all things in this world, guiding all beings’ growth.

Until one day, a six-winged Exotic God descended into this world, bringing developnt and disaster simultaneously.

That Exotic God called themselves "Raphael," the God of Civilization bringing Wisdom to all.

Under Raphael’s guidance, ignorant beings broke free from ancient ecological structures and began to understand using tools to build a better environnt for their survival.

Cities rose, roads connected all sides...

The world’s creatures progressed to a civilized society at a visible pace, guided by erging technologies and thoughts.

During this process, creatures gradually abandoned their original gods and beca Raphael’s followers.

This was not an unexpected result, even Owo could understand the creatures’ choice.

However, the crux of the problem was that so forr Gods clung to dissatisfaction with Raphael.

They believed Raphael stole their followers, luring them into betraying their Gods...

Thus, the "Lord Cangbai" launched a counterattack against Raphael, sparking a Divine War engulfing the world.

While Raphael was a powerful Exotic God.

The "Lord Cangbai," as the Incarnation of this world’s Primordial Power, was likewise no entity to be underestimated.

As one of the world’s initial Gods, the "Lord Cangbai" possessed the power to tear the land and pierce the heavens.

The epic battle between them shattered the world, leaving once flourishing civilization to decline miserably.

Even in his final monts of defeat by Raphael, the "Lord Cangbai" did not forget to curse those who backstabbed him critically.

—After my death, the world will have neither day nor night!

—After my death, order shall cease to exist!

—After my death, civilization will be cursed!

—After my death, life will be twisted!
