Chapter 33: Chapter 10: Balance of Truth

"Snake God, you’re joking!"

"However, the ’collection’ that my master holds is indeed sowhat better than this world."

With an uncontainable pride, the Faceless One smiled and explained to Li Hao.

After all, though the current world is precious, it cannot compare to the secret treasures of the Gods.

Whether it is the devices that overturn material rules, the creations from the highest civilization...

Or those divine artifacts born of the world, which only the Gods are qualified to use...

These are things a re world cannot compare to — their greatest value lies in the fact that they are rare, sought after but rarely available.

"These are the items the Gods wish to trade; Snake God, you may review them one by one."

As he spoke, the Faceless One handed over a scroll emitting golden light to Hua She.

As Hua She took the scroll, a standard ga trade interface popped up on Li Hao’s phone.

Wow, at first glance, Li Hao couldn’t see the end of it.

And right on the first page, several trading items once again stunned Li Hao.

Looking across, most items in the interface are of Rare Treasure Level, with only a few marked as Legend.

As for rare items below Legend, they aren’t even qualified to be traded among the Gods.

What does Rare Treasure an?

The [Candle Dragon Mask] Li Hao is currently wearing is a secret treasure of Rare Treasure Level.

The only thing to be thankful for is that this scroll does not contain sothing like the [Chronicles of Ti] of Epic Level.

This led Li Hao to successfully realize that the [Chronicles of Ti], transford from the Candle Dragon Pearl, is perhaps an extrely precious treasure even among the Gods.

"If I want to trade these items, what price must I pay?"

After carefully browsing, Li Hao noticed that the interface can actually be filtered.

Depending on the conditions he sets, Li Hao can quickly find various secret treasures he wishes to find.

"Surely it won’t be that common thing known as ’money’?"

Li Hao said this as a way to probe whether the "Civilization Ga" has an equivalent currency.

It’s proven that in this ga, where Gods exist, there truly isn’t an equivalent currency in the usual sense.

"No, how could real ’Divine Artifacts’ be bought with currency?"

As expected, the Faceless One shook his head, denying Li Hao’s assumption, and actively explained.

"The so-called ’equivalent currency’ is sothing based on resources and trust."

"But in All Heavens and Myriad Realms, what resource and what kind of force can simultaneously gain the trust of all Gods?"

"Even those powerful divine pantheons ruling many worlds cannot make their currency the dominant currency in ’Civilization Ga’."

Upon hearing this, Li Hao understood.

According to the Faceless One, All Heavens and Myriad Realms may not have a dominant currency, but there are still equivalent currencies.

Those powerful Gods keen on expanding their territory not only enrich their resources but also the diversity of their civilization, which can mostly satisfy other Gods’ demands.

The currency issued by them can naturally achieve circulation within a certain range, effectively becoming the concept of "equivalent currency."

Of course, just like advanced equipnt and technology in the real world,

these currencies can only act as general equivalent under normal circumstances.

Once it involves the level of "Divine Artifacts," no amount of currency can conduct a purchase.

"Actually, our ’Secret eting of the Faceless’ privately has its own currency system."

"However, that is ant for apostles and mortals."

Exploiting the credit backing of various Gods allows for the concept of equivalent currency among the apostles and mortals under the ’Secret eting of the Faceless.’

Yet the transaction between Gods relies on another kind of thing.

"The ’Balance of Truth’ of Celestial Father Hathor, it is the foundation of our ’trade.’

Before the word of the Faceless One fell, a scale icon suddenly appeared on Li Hao’s screen.

On the two sides of the scale, different items can be placed respectively.

"If you fancy sothing, you just need to put that item on one end of the scale..."

"Then, on the other end, place the Divine Artifact you believe is equivalent."

"When the ’Balance of Truth’ balances, it ans the value is equal."

Saying this, the Faceless One added another sentence.

"Of course, in this world, there are no truly equivalent things."

"If you can reach an agreent with the divine being you are trading with, even if values are not equivalent, it can still be traded."

"The existence of the ’Balance of Truth’ simply ensures fairness as much as possible between the trading parties."

Contemplating the symbolism of "equality" in the Balance of Truth, Li Hao remained silent for a long ti.

"Snake God?"

Only until the Faceless One cautiously spoke did Li Hao regain his senses.

"Among most contemporary Gods, what acts as general equivalent?"

Given that participants of the "Civilization Ga" can bypass the Balance of Truth for transactions,

among this, there must be sothing that can serve as general equivalent.

This thing might not be a currency in the general sense.

But it must exist; this is simple economic common sense.

"The qualification to beco a God, divine authority, items imbued with divinity, even the power of a God itself..."

As expected, the Faceless One said without any concealnt.

"Divine Format, Divine Position, Divinity, Divine Power, these things can indeed serve as general equivalent."

Seeing Li Hao nod with so revelation, the Faceless One continued to explain.

"However, since these things aren’t particularly valuable or rare, often more must be paid to obtain a ’Divine Artifact.’

Simply, Divine Format, Divine Position, Divinity, Divine Power—every God possesses these.

So wanting to use these ordinary things to exchange for a secret treasure often requires paying a greater price."

"Thus, unless necessary, I don’t recomnd such a trade thod."
