Chapter 887: Chapter 887 Misconception

After the dead of night, when he returned to the inn where they were staying, Ling Feng had Li Fei’er call Liya over.

Seeing an additional person, Liya was also startled.

"Rescued from their camp, you can ask about the situation," Ling Feng said indifferently.

Seeing the woman’s disheveled appearance, Liya understood what had happened, so she squatted down and asked a few questions in as gentle a tone as she could manage.

Afterward, her expression changed!

The woman spoke through her tears, and without asking, Ling Feng knew that so atrocity had occurred.

So, he didn’t rush to ask Liya but sat quietly, waiting for her to speak.

It took a while, but finally, Liya sighed, "I was wrong!"

Ling Feng raised his eyebrows, "How so?"

"Those people, they can no longer be called human, they’re beasts!"

Liya clenched her teeth, "This group of people actually slaughtered a whole village, not sparing n, won, the elderly, or children; they killed them all!"

"Only this woman survived from the village?" Ling Feng narrowed his eyes and asked.

"Yes, there might be other survivors, but she is not certain," Liya replied.

Ling Feng let out a cold laugh upon hearing this, "You were still concerned about the families of those thugs, yet they hard an entire innocent family!"

"I..."

Liya bit her lip, "I know I was wrong!"

Seeing her pitiful state, Ling Feng didn’t want to say too much. He sighed and stood up, saying, "Now that you understand, don’t think too much about it. Settle her in first, and leave the rest to !"

"Uncle, are you going back?" Li Fei’er asked.

Ling Feng nodded, "Evil must be eradicated, and I must finish the job at hand!"

No sooner had he spoken than a burst of gunfire was heard from afar!

Scattered gunshots quickly rged into a continuous volley, and they were rapidly approaching!

"Have those people chased us here?" Li Fei’er rose and went to the window.

"They could actually track us here?"

Ling Feng was also taken aback, unsure why this was happening.

At that mont, the woman he had brought back said sothing, and Liya hurriedly translated, "She says there’s a wizard in that stronghold!"

"Hmm?"

Ling Feng was taken aback, "What wizard?"

After asking the woman a few more questions, Liya looked up and said, "She ntioned that after being captured, a man tied sothing to her ankle and told her that even if she ran to the ends of the earth, they could find her and bring her back!"

"What is it?"

Ling Feng went over to the woman and, looking down, indeed found a black thread tied around her ankle with a black object attached.

With a gentle pinch, Ling Feng broke the string and held the object in his palm to examine it.

The object appeared to be so kind of nut carved into a grotesque human head with a very fierce expression!

Scanning the nut with his Divine Sense, Ling Feng found that inside the nut, there were incomprehensible patterns that seed to be so sort of inscription!

It looked like the woman had been right, those thugs had been tracking them through this object!

Having understood this, Ling Feng snorted coldly, his fingers exerting a slight force, crushing that thing to pieces!

He then said to Liya, "It’s better they co to us, saves

another trip to the mountains!".

Liya didn’t speak, knowing that anything else she said at this ti would be futile, as she too regretted her decision—the people deserved to die!

The sound of gunfire quickly reached the town, soon after, n shouted and won cried, plunging into chaos.

Ling Feng’s face turned ashen as he was about to descend the stairs when several ard thugs rushed into the inn.

"Don’t be hasty with action, let’s wait for all of them to gather first!"

When Ling Feng saw Li Fei’er about to hand over Wang Cai and Yellow, he imdiately stopped her.

Afterwards, he hid the woman in the cupboard, then led everyone downstairs.

Several thugs were beating up the innkeeper, and Liya imdiately shouted to stop them.

The n’s eyes lit up upon seeing her and Li Fei’er!

Then, those few guys showed sleazy smiles, and their gun muzzles aid at the two won!

"They want us to go out and gather at the town center!" Liya said.

"Good, that’s exactly what I want!"

Ling Feng and the bodyguard stood in front of the two won, following the thugs out of the inn.

But these people didn’t spare the innkeeper and his wife and daughter, forcibly taking the trio as well.

Perhaps because they saw the relationship between Li Fei’er and Liya, these guys forgot to search upstairs, instead leaving the kidnapped woman behind.

The small square at the town center was lit up by the lights of several green jeeps like it was broad daylight, and most of the townspeople had already been brought over.

Cries and screams of won and children filled the air, but those thugs didn’t care at all, instead laughing happily!

However, when Liya and Li Fei’er were brought over, everyone’s gaze focused on the faces of the two won!

Both of them were stunning, naturally attracting lots of attention.

Seeing the lecherous light in the eyes of the people around him, Ling Feng’s eyes narrowed slightly, a deep murderous intent instantly surging in his heart!

He had been by the won’s side all along, guarding them carefully, because he had just learned that among these people were those who knew witchcraft. Ling Feng didn’t want to inadvertently bring disaster upon them.

At this point, almost all of the townspeople had arrived, and a man in a black robe appeared among the thugs, standing on high and shouting sothing to the people.

"He says soone killed their leader, and the murderer is in town. Now he demands the townspeople hand over the culprit, or he’ll massacre this place tonight!" Liya translated.

Ling Feng nodded, having guessed it would co to this, and said in a low voice, "Stay close to Fei’er later. When I make my move, if anyone approaches you, she’ll protect you!".

"Okay."

By now, Liya also knew the consequences of being too kind-hearted, so she stopped thinking about everything else, just listening to Ling Feng’s arrangents.

At that mont, the scene quieted down, and Ling Feng knew it was ti for the opponent to show off their force, to coerce him into showing himself.

Looking around at the environnt, he felt like he was back watching war movies from his childhood, and these thugs were like the Japanese soldiers of the past, with himself as the target of their pursuit.

At this thought, Ling Feng gave a bitter smile and shook his head, thinking how unrelated it all was!

Looking up at the man in the black robe, Ling Feng didn’t plan to strike him first but instead used his Divine Sense to lock onto the surrounding ard thugs!

There were over fifty of these guys; quietly taking them out was nearly impossible.

However, Ling Feng was confident. While he might not be able to act without making a sound, taking them down swiftly wasn’t a big problem!

So, just as the man in the black robe was about to issue commands, Ling Feng’s figure flashed, vanishing from his spot in an instant!
