Chapter 68: Chapter 68: Going Too Far in Bullying

Ling Feng laughed, "Of course I have a secret recipe, Jiaolan. Do you think such large pheasants would be popular if I brought them to your restaurant?"

"I’m not sure about popular; it depends on how they taste when cooked, so I can’t say for certain right now," Mo Jiaolan said.

Ling Feng thought so too, but he was very confident in the produce he raised, so he wasn’t worried at all. Smiling, he said, "You haven’t seen the rabbits yet, have you? They are pretty astonishing as well!"

As he spoke, he walked over to the hare cages, and when he got closer, he suddenly discovered that the hares had also given birth!

A bunch of fluffy, chubby, pale yellow balls huddled together, looking extrely cute!

"What’s going on today; why is everything bearing fruit!" Ling Feng was astonished.

"Wow, so cute!" Chen Yuhe ca over for a look and imdiately overflowed with affection, even wanting to reach in and take one out.

But because there was a cage in the way, she couldn’t get to them at all.

Even if she could reach in, the mother hare wouldn’t let her touch them, having just given birth.

Mo Jiaolan was different from her; standing there, her eyes were full of surprise as she murmured to herself, "I can’t believe it; in such a short ti, you’ve made a success of this breeding venture."

The sun outside was still scorching; it was the hottest ti of the day. Ling Feng then said, "Let’s go back inside; it’s too hot out here."

The sisters, fearing they would tan, nodded and returned to the house together.

"Ling Feng, at this rate, your farm will see profits this year," Mo Jiaolan sat down and said.

"Yes, once this batch grows up, I plan on not selling them yet, but to keep breeding them. In the future, I have to make sure to deliver pheasants and hares to the city every day!" Ling Feng nodded.

A gleam of admiration flashed in Mo Jiaolan’s eyes, "Not only are you so skilled in dicine, but you can also raise such big animals. You’re really amazing!"

Ling Feng felt very proud upon hearing this and was about to boast about himself when his phone suddenly rang!

Seeing that the caller was Li Yui, he quickly answered, "What’s wrong? Do you want to co ho?"

"Ling Feng, I need your help. A bunch of people are surrounding our house, and they’ve beaten up my dad!" Li Yui said anxiously.

"What? Who dares to be so bold, is there no law anymore?" Ling Feng stood up imdiately upon hearing this!

"It’s a bunch of thugs, claiming that my dad started a fight with their people. Now they’re demanding money while carrying an injured person!" Li Yui said with a sob in her voice.

Ling Feng was enraged; this was blatant bullying!

So he imdiately said, "Don’t worry, I’m coming right now to take a look!"

After hanging up the phone, he said to Mo Jiaolan and Chen Yuhe, "You two stay at ho, I’ve got sothing to handle."

"What happened?" Mo Jiaolan quickly asked.

"A friend of mine, his wife’s family is being bullied, apparently by a gang of hoodlums!" Ling Feng said with urgency, ready to head out the door.

Chen Yuhe imdiately said, "I’ll co with you; it’s faster by car!"

"Right, we’ll go too, maybe we can be of help!" Mo Jiaolan also stood up.

Ling Feng looked at them and hesitated slightly, "Okay, but when we get there, you two stay in the car, there might be a fight!"

...

...

The SUV roared to life, leaving Shiliu Village behind and quickly arriving at the entrance of Shajing Village, where Li Yui’s ho was located.

Before even entering the village, they could see a crowd of people standing in front of a householder’s door, with even more people standing on nearby walls and rooftops, looking like they were there to watch the excitent.

"Ling Feng, you’re not a match for so many people alone. Let’s find out the situation first, and if it doesn’t work out, we’ll call the police," Mo Jiaolan said with concern.

"No worries, I have a way to deal with this," Ling Feng gritted his teeth.

The car drew near, and he pushed the door open to step out, walking to the entrance and shouting, "What’s going on here!"

Blocking the entrance were about a dozen young n; hearing the shout, they all turned their heads to look at him.

One of the youths, with narrow, slanting eyes, snapped coldly, "Who are you? Mind your own business, got it?"

"What do you an, mind my own business? This is my friend’s place. What’s the deal with blocking the door?" Ling Feng shouted loudly.

"You know the people here, right? That’s just perfect!"

The slant-eyed guy nodded, took a step forward, and walked over, with the dozen or so young n no longer blocking the door, following him.

Approaching Ling Feng, the slant-eyed guy sized him up and down, "Are you from Shajing Village? How co I’ve never seen you before?"

"I’m not from around here. Now tell , what exactly do you want?" Ling Feng asked.

"Got so guts!" The slant-eyed youth saw that he was not afraid of the group and cracked a slight smile, "Very simple, pay us for our man’s dical expenses!"

Ling Feng noticed a person lying on the ground, moaning as if in great pain, but saw no visible injuries on him.

At that mont, the gate to the courtyard swung open, and Li Yui rushed out, saying, "Brother Ling Feng, don’t listen to them. My dad didn’t even touch this guy. He fell over himself, and now they’re trying to extort us!"

"Got it, no worries. Leave it to !" Ling Feng nodded, then turned to the slant-eyed guy, "Tell , how much do you want for dical expenses?"

"Not much, a broken bone and torn ligants are worth at least thirty to fifty thousand. Add on the lost wages, and a total of a hundred thousand should cover it," the slant-eyed youth said with a sneer.

Ling Feng laughed, "And if I can’t pay up?"

"That’s also simple, just transfer the land at the east end of the village to !" the slant-eyed youth said, pointing toward a nearby spot.

Ling Feng turned to look and realized it was just a wasteland. The crops weren’t growing much, and the leaves were all yellow!

"You’re after that plot of land, eh? Too bad, you’re not going to succeed!" Ling Feng figured it out at once and said with a sneer.

The slant-eyed guy was taken aback, "How so? Either pay up or hand over the land. Otherwise, we’re not settling this today, even if the police co, it’s no use!"

"Who says there isn’t a third option!"

Ling Feng chuckled and stepped forward.

The slant-eyed youth got a scare and put his hands up in defense, "What do you want to do, fight?"

"You’re not even worth

lifting a hand!" Ling Feng pushed him aside, walked over to the person lying on the ground, and squatted down.

The man still wore an expression of agony, but his eyes were darting around sneakily, clearly indicating he was faking it!

Now that Ling Feng was sure, he asked with a smile, "Kid, doesn’t lying there make you hot?"

"Stop the nonsense. My leg hurts, my arm hurts, it’s broken!" The man said fiercely.

"Really? How coincidental, I just so happen to be a doctor!"

Ling Feng smiled and grabbed his wrist.

"Hey kid, don’t ss around, if my brother feels any discomfort, you won’t get away with it either today!" the slant-eyed youth threatened loudly from behind.

Ling Feng ignored him, extended his hand to press a spot on the waist of the man on the ground, and imdiately the man’s body shivered, then with a whoosh he jumped up, "Ticklish, so ticklish, haha!"

The onlookers were stunned. The guy who had just claid his bones were broken was now suddenly standing up, jumping around lively. Did he ever get hurt?

Many among the crowd quickly realized that these guys were indeed trying to scam them.

Consequently, so of the watchers started jeering, mocking the slant-eyed youth and his companions for their crude tactics.

Ling Feng looked at the man still laughing uncontrollably, "How about it? My dical skills are not bad, right? Fixed up all your broken bones!"
