Chapter 589: Chapter 589 So fragrant!

Ling Feng was startled at the ntion, "Possessions?"

"Exactly, haven’t I said that I want to find a place in the Chu Family estate to retire?" Wang Laogen said.

Ling Feng thought to himself that these two old n were indeed quite eager!

So he said with a speechless expression, "It seems like you’ve already made up your minds, quite impatient, aren’t you?"

"Heh heh, you don’t need to worry about that!"

Wang Laogen chuckled and strode into the house while the cars started up again and all drove up the mountain.

Ling Feng noticed that the one driving in front was Mo Lan. It looked like she was in charge of leading the convoy, so she didn’t get out of the car and went straight ahead to lead the way.

Following the old man into the house, he saw Chu Nan and Wang Laogen already chatting and laughing, as cordial as long-lost brothers, and Ling Feng shook his head helplessly.

"Why are you frowning? It’s as if our arrival has brought you trouble!" Chu Nan noticed and said sowhat displeased.

Ling Feng gave a wry smile, "How dare I? I was just thinking about what to make for dinner to treat you both!"

"We don’t need anything else, just so of your special provisions will do!" Wang Laogen said.

"That’s no problem, there’s plenty of good stuff!" Ling Feng laughed.

Having said that, he no longer paid attention to the two elders and went straight to the back.

With more people in the house, the stove in front seed a bit insufficient, so he went to the back to check and decided to use the large pot there to stew the at.

The food produced in the Fourth Layer Heaven was completely natural, without any impurities, and didn’t require any special processing. It made no demands on one’s culinary skills; as long as it was cooked, it was ready!

So, after lighting so firewood and boiling a large pot of water, Ling Feng began to take out octopus at, turtle at, and crab legs from his Space Ring to get ready.

By evening, before the sun had set, a rich fragrance wafted from the house at the back.

Wang Laogen and Chu Nan followed the scent and upon entering the house, they stared at Ling Feng wide-eyed, "What are you cooking? Dragon at? Why does it sll so good?"

"Although it’s not dragon at, it’s almost the sa!" Ling Feng laughed.

"Well, this sll is really top-notch!" Wang Laogen said, giving a thumbs up.

"Say, Old Wang, let’s not go back to the front, how about we just sit by the pot and nibble on sothing?" Chu Nan proposed.

"That’s exactly what I was thinking!" Wang Laogen nodded in agreent.

So, the two elders made themselves at ho, each grabbing a small stool and directly sitting beside the stove, their gazes fixed on the pot, waiting eagerly for Ling Feng to lift the lid!

Their posture was quite like that of children lined up, waiting to eat fruit, which left Ling Feng speechless.

"Wait five more minutes to uncover the pot, I’m going to get so dipping sauce from the front. Don’t be in a hurry, and no sneaking a taste!" Ling Feng got up and said.

"Yeah, yeah, we know, so annoying!" Wang Laogen rolled his eyes.

Ling Feng rolled his eyes in response, walked out the door thinking who was the annoying one, criticizing the chef before even having the al?

Just as he stepped out, Mo Lan happened to walk by; he quickly forced a smile, "You’re just in ti, help

watch these two old n, don’t let them burn themselves!"

Mo Lan was puzzled, and before she could react, Ling Feng had already rushed off to the front.

"What’s going on?"

Typically indifferent, she was baffled by his strange request and then followed the delicious sll into the house.

When Ling Feng returned and entered the house, he was at a loss for words.

There was now a girl next to the two elders—it was Mo Lan!

All three of them, each holding chopsticks and a bowl, looked impatient!

"Can we start now?" Wang Laogen asked.

"Alright, alright, I give up. Have you not eaten at for several lifetis or what?" Ling Feng said with a helpless face.

Wang Laogen couldn’t be bothered to argue with him and hurriedly stood up to lift the lid off the pot. The red and white delights inside suddenly appeared before the three n, the aroma becoming even stronger.

"Old Wang, if we could eat this stuff every day, we could live an extra twenty years with no problem!" Chu Nan said, his eyes shining.

"You’re right, I now see how shrewd you are, this choice was too perfect!"

As Wang Laogen spoke, he reached out with his chopsticks to grab so at.

Ling Feng watched them with a speechless look. Only after each of their bowls was filled with at and they started devouring it did he say reluctantly, "Aren’t you going to dip it in so sauce? So soy sauce would go really well with it!"

No one paid him any attention!

Even Mo Lan, who was usually reserved and serious, was now uncharacteristically gobbling down the at without a care for her image!

Ling Feng could only shake his head and smile bitterly at this.

Just then, a series of footsteps ca from outside, followed by Zhang He’s voice: "Ling Feng, what delicious things are you hiding back here and eating?"

As the door opened, Zhang He appeared at the entrance and after exchanging glances with everyone, he laughed, "So many people!"

Rendered speechless, Ling Feng noticed it wasn’t just him; Chen Xiao, Zhang ng, and two other young n he didn’t recognize were also there.

So he asked with a wry smile, "What’s this about? Why did you bring everyone from the office?"

"We’re here as tourists!"

Zhang He’s eyes sparkled as he made his way into the house, looking here and there until he found bowls and chopsticks, then headed over to the pot: "Old man, could you make so room?"

Ling Feng figured that today’s pot of at was certainly not going to last.

Seeing Chen Xiao and the others at the door full of anticipation, he had no choice but to laugh and say, "Stop looking, co on in. Make yourself at ho, no need to be polite!"

"Sure thing!"

They’d been waiting for just that invitation. Chen Xiao, Zhang ng, and the rest really made themselves at ho, rushing into the house.

The kitchen was quite spacious, but with so many people, it quickly beca crowded. Seeing this, Ling Feng stepped outside to give them so space.

It was only half an hour later, as the sun went down, that Wang Laogen and the others ca out of the house, looking satisfied, carrying their stools to sit next to Ling Feng.

"No wonder it’s so prized, this stuff is really delicious!" Chu Nan exclaid.

"Exactly, Ling Feng may be unreliable, but the things he brings out are truly top-notch!" Zhang He said.

"Selling this for a hundred bucks a pound, isn’t that a bit too cheap?" Wang Laogen asked.

Ling Feng looked at the three of them, each with a toothpick in hand, picking their teeth in a way that was utterly sleazy!

Seeing that he was just watching silently and not speaking, Wang Laogen nudged him: "I’m talking to you, have you gone mute? Not grieving over that bit of at, are you?"

"Am I that petty?"

Ling Feng said blandly, then glanced over their faces: "Now tell , what are you really here for?"

The n exchanged glances and spoke in unison: "Nothing much!"

Ling Feng sneered: "Do you take

for a fool? You’ve all co with your families. Teacher, you’ve brought the Chu Family’s security forces, Zhang He, you’ve brought elites from afar, and as for Old Wang, I guess there are a few experts in your car, right?"

Seeing the three of them smiling half-heartedly but staying silent, Ling Feng continued: "Whether you’ve colluded or not, the fact that you’ve all co to my place with such fanfare must an you have a motive. Are you going to spill it or not? If not, I’ll have to charge you for this al!"

"Go ahead, charge , and I’ll make sure to transport those bullets back!" Zhang He said nonchalantly.

"How much? I’ll pay it, end of story," stated Wang Laogen, his neck stiff with defiance.

And Chu Nan just chuckled: "No money for food, but I do have a box of aged wine!"

Ling Feng: "..."
