Chapter 54: Chapter 54 The Transformation of the Animals

Riding a tricycle and facing the gentle breeze of early morning, Ling Feng traveled on the highway. As the sun just rose over the mountains, he returned to Shiliu Village.

Breathing in the fresh air of the village, his mood improved significantly.

Although he couldn’t solve Mo Jiaolan’s problem now, it didn’t an there wouldn’t be a solution after so ti had passed. So, making himself grow stronger quickly was the issue he pondered all the way ho.

After getting off the tricycle and entering the door, Ling Feng thought about how he hadn’t fed the small animals he was raising last night, so he quickly gathered so corn and headed to the backyard.

Just as he entered the breeding area, he saw Wang Cai squatting there, staring intently at the cage without moving an inch, not even turning his head when he approached.

"What are you looking at, you guy?"

As Ling Feng ca closer and spoke, he noticed that Wang Cai’s drool was almost falling like a waterfall, with a puddle already on the ground!

"Damn, I could let you drool to death!"

Ling Feng said with a playful scold, then turned to look at the rabbits in the cage and imdiately his eyes widened in shock!

The wild rabbits that were about the size of a house cat yesterday afternoon had grown several sizes larger over the night, now fat as piglets!

Seeing him co over, the wild rabbits desperately clawed at the cage, trying to push their way out. Their target, of course, wasn’t him but the corn he was holding!

"You’ve grown so much overnight; you must be starving, right?"

After his surprise, Ling Feng quickly poured all the corn inside, but in a mont, the wild rabbits had devoured it all!

"Don’t worry, I’ll bring you more right away!"

Grain wasn’t expensive, and as long as the wild rabbits could grow quickly and get big, it didn’t matter if they ate more.

However, before going back to get more corn, Ling Feng took another look at the pheasants and discovered that they too had grown quite a bit, now roughly the size of old Zhang’s big rooster in the village!

"Good, good, good, you all hurry up and grow. I’ll give you as much grain as you want to eat!"

Ling Feng was extrely excited. The Yuan Ling Pills were incredibly effective, and it seed he would need to make more to store them!

After returning to the front yard, he simply moved half a bag of grain over, filling the troughs for both the wild rabbits and the pheasants.

As he bead at the sight of the animals eating ferociously, a shout from Li Shiyun ca from the front yard: "Ling Feng, are you ho?"

"I am, I’ll be right there!"

Ling Feng shouted back, stood up, and was about to leave. Before leaving, he turned to look at Wang Cai: "You little rascal, behave yourself. These pheasants and wild rabbits aren’t for you to eat, got it?"

Wang Cai imdiately hung his head low, clearly feeling very disappointed because he had thought he would get a big feast of roast wild rabbit today.

As Ling Feng reached the front yard, he saw Li Shiyun standing at the doorway, so he asked with a smile, "Village Chief, you’re here. Why don’t you co in and sit down?"

"Haven’t you forgotten what’s happening today? Who has ti to sit? The truck that delivers materials has arrived. Where should we put them?" Li Shiyun glared at him and asked.

"I haven’t forgotten, I haven’t forgotten; I’ve already found a place for them. Co with !"

Ling Feng said with a smile and quickly went outside.

The two of them walked ahead, with the truck carrying materials following behind, soon arriving at the edge of the village.

Ling Feng’s land was located there, and by this ti, the corn had grown to around one and a half ters, its verdant leaves fluttering slowly in the wind, full of vitality.

At the edge of the field, there was a large patch of wasteland, and Ling Feng pointed there, saying, "Let’s put them here."

Li Shiyun didn’t speak, and an old man with dark skin jumped down from the delivery truck, asking in astonishnt, "Here? Are you kidding ?"

"Old Du, what’s wrong?" Li Shiyun asked.

"The ground is uneven, there’s no place for mixing and loading materials, and you are planning to grow mushrooms on the grass? Pest control is a big problem!" Old Du said.

"This, I really didn’t think that much!" Li Shiyun said embarrassingly after hearing this.

She was not a professional, and after being reminded, she imdiately realized the situation.

But with people and supplies already here, the arrow was on the string, they had no choice but to shoot!

Seeing her expression, Ling Feng quickly said, "Village Chief, don’t worry, it’s okay, I’ll have soone level a place for the site right away, and as for growing mushrooms, doing it in the grass is fine!"

"Young man, don’t say it so lightly, I have been growing oyster mushrooms for more than twenty years, and I’ve never seen such a rudintary production thod. What you’re doing is simply reckless!" Old Du said.

Ling Feng glanced at him, knowing that this farr expert ant well, so he smiled, "Don’t worry, whether mushrooms grow or not is my concern. Even if I lose money, I’ll accept it. You ca here to help

out of kindness; just listen to , all right?"

"Well, don’t bla

if I didn’t warn you later!" Old Du said helplessly.

He had co for Li Shiyun’s sake, after all, she was the Village Chief, and the leaders in town also respected her a great deal, obviously she had so significant background, otherwise he wouldn’t have co so actively to help.

Hearing this, Ling Feng smiled and said, "Good, even if mushrooms don’t grow, I won’t bla you, rest assured!"

After speaking, he turned to Li Shiyun and said, "Village Chief, could you please find a few people to co over and help clear a part of my corn? That way we’ll have a site ready."

"Isn’t that too wasteful? The corn has already ford ears," Li Shiyun asked.

"It’s okay, how much can this bit of corn be worth?" Ling Feng said with a smile.

Li Shiyun thought about it and agreed; if they could really grow those delicious button mushrooms, a few mushrooms would probably be worth more than the value of the corn that got shoveled away.

So she nodded her head and imdiately returned to the village, and before long, she had found several n and won to help.

These people had helped out with the construction of the breeding farm before, and since Ling Feng was generous with his pay, they were happy to work for him.

A group of them got to work and quickly cleared nearly a hundred square ters of space, digging out the corn roots as well.

After leveling the ground, the truck began unloading materials, and equipnt like mixers and bagging machines were also delivered. Then, more than a dozen won from other villages soon arrived in two vans.

Ling Feng’s land suddenly turned into a construction site, drawing the interested folks of Shiliu Village.

When people gathered, curious ones started to discuss among themselves.

Initially, the discussions were private, but then Wang Yan from the crowd brazenly asked loudly, "Ling Feng, what are you up to? The breeding farm has just been completed, and now you’re going to grow mushrooms?"

"Yeah, just trying to make a bit more money!" Ling Feng said with a smile.

Wang Yan’s eyes danced, "What? Planning to get married and don’t have enough for the bride price?"

"You actually got it right, I’m indeed saving up a dowry!" Ling Feng replied.

Everyone laughed aloud; everyone knew that Ling Feng’s parents had passed away early and there wasn’t much money left at ho, and he hadn’t earned much as a doctor over the years.

"If you ask , you don’t need any bride price to get married, there are plenty of young won and widows in this village, aren’t there plenty for you to choose from?"

Upon hearing this, Ling Feng imdiately looked at her and asked, "What if I pick you, would you agree?"

"Tsk, I’m your aunt, stop talking nonsense!" Wang Yan spat with a blushing face.
