Chapter 315: Chapter 315: The Appearance of the Eldest Maternal Uncle

After dinner, everyone entered the Nine Heavens together.

Lin Xue looked at Ling Feng and asked, "Could this place actually be inside your ring?"

"It shouldn’t be. I think the Illusionary Ring is just a teleportation device. This world exists independently. It definitely isn’t inside the ring, but where exactly it is, I’m not sure," Ling Feng replied.

"That makes sense. The ring is so small, how could it possibly contain such a vast space!" Lin Xue said thoughtfully.

"All right, you go have fun in the First Layer with everyone else. I’m going to take Wang Cai and the others to the Second Layer!"

Since the situation had already been explained before, Lin Xue wasn’t surprised, but she still cautioned, "Then be careful."

"Don’t worry! It’s completely effortless for !"

Ling Feng bragged boastfully.

His words, however, brought a unanimous roll of the eyes from the girls, who all thought he was being a bit too arrogant!

Ling Feng didn’t mind their reaction and after a chuckle, he led Wang Cai and the others into the Second Layer Heaven.

"We can’t leave empty-handed today either. Have to find so more good stuff!"

After entering, standing atop a high area, Ling Feng looked out over the vast forest and talked to himself.

The area here was simply too large. Just visiting each location would take several days of effort, let alone thoroughly exploring to avoid missing out on deserted villages or places like secret realms.

After all, having obtained two top-grade Spirit Stones and the hides of the Jungle Hunters, Ling Feng had beco a bit greedy now, feeling it a loss if they didn’t find so good items!

Soon, his figure flickered, and he charged into the dense forest with Wang Cai and the others!

...

...

The night hurriedly passed by, and if it weren’t for an alarm he had set, Ling Feng would not have noticed how quickly the ti had gone by.

After returning to the outside, he rushed to the First Layer Heaven, only to find that everyone was waiting for him!

"Uncle, why are you dawdling so much?"

Upon seeing him, Li Fei’er imdiately complained.

Ling Feng chuckled, "I was so busy that I forgot about the ti. Don’t worry, let’s get you out of here right now!"

"You were so busy, did you get anything?" Li Fei’er asked.

"You’ll find out soon!"

Ling Feng played coy, leading everyone back outside.

When the girls ca out and saw the pile of things on the grass, they were all stunned!

"What is all this?"

Looking at the items on the ground, everyone asked in confusion.

Ling Feng said with pride on his face, "Anyway, they’re all good stuff!"

In fact, these were not particularly special items; they were all products of the forest, such as herbs, fungi, wild fruits, and the like.

The quality of these things was much higher than those from the outside world, but other than that, there was nothing special about them.

Besides these, there were also two huge mountain goats that Wang Cai and Xiao Qiang had caught, which were already dead.

The two goats together weighed five to six hundred pounds. There was enough goat at to give the whole of Shiliu Village a grand feast.

Li Fei’er crouched down and after a few glances, stood up disdainfully and said, "It’s all food, nothing special!"

Ling Feng was speechless; he had been feigning pride, and her comnt suddenly made him feel indignant, "What’s wrong with food? If it weren’t for that walnut, you’d still be a little brat!"

"Hmph! Stinky uncle!" Li Fei’er rolled her eyes.

After speaking, feeling that wasn’t satisfying enough, she added, "It’s all food. If we keep eating like this, we’ll all turn into fatties!"

"So what if we get fat! I’ll eat you until you beco a little fat pig!" Ling Feng laughed.

Li Fei’er stamped her foot in frustration, turning to Li Shiyun, "Sis, he’s bullying !"

"Ignore him!" Shiyun said with a laugh.

Ling Feng was at a loss too, she couldn’t outwit soone and had to look for help—there was truly no principle in that!

Having ushered out all the won, he returned to move things around. It took him so ti to get everything he collected in the evening out.

Seeing Ling Feng busy, Lin Xue hesitated before saying, "You carry on, I’m going back to work."

"Sure, later I need to get Old Sun to divide the mutton, I can’t leave just yet," Ling Feng replied.

Lin Xue pursed her lips, "I know, but if you have ti today, could you make a trip to the police station?"

"What’s up, sothing wrong?" Ling Feng inquired.

"It’s nothing serious, just co by and that’ll do," Lin Xue said.

Seeing her stamring, Ling Feng felt a bit curious, but he didn’t ask any more questions and nodded, "Okay, I should be free by noon."

"That’s great, I’m off then, bye!"

Lin Xue flashed a smile and turned to get into her car.

Ling Feng was busy all morning distributing the mutton to the villagers.

In the end, there was so left over, so he decided to take it to Mo Jiaolan and Chen Yuhe’s families.

Rembering his promise to Lin Xue, he drove through the town and stopped, then entered the police station.

As he pushed the door open, a tall police officer was about to co out, and they bumped into each other; Ling Feng was imdiately taken aback.

"Lin Hu!"

It was no other than Lin Xue’s brother!

Seeing him, Ling Feng’s mind went blank and he was utterly puzzled.

Lin Hu just glanced at him and said with a cold snort, "You actually dare to co, follow !"

After saying that, he turned and strode inside.

Ling Feng, completely baffled, followed him to a room marked with the chief’s sign.

Upon entering, Lin Hu sat down on a chair, his gaze icy as he stared at Ling Feng, saying nothing.

"Chief Lin, what are you doing here?" Ling Feng asked with a scratch of his head and a wry smile.

"Why I’m here, don’t you understand?" Lin Hu asked coldly.

Ling Feng felt helpless as he had guessed what this was about. This guy was extrely protective of his sister; obviously, he was here because of Lin Xue!

But this seed a bit over the top, didn’t it?

He couldn’t help asking, "I understand, but is it really necessary?"

Originally thinking that Lin Xue working at this police station was already sowhat beneath her, who would have thought that the dignified head of the provincial criminal police would co to this town’s police station!

After hearing his words, Lin Hu gave a cold snort, "It may not be necessary for you, but for , Lin Xue’s safety is my top priority!"

Ling Feng gave a bitter smile, "Okay, well, you don’t have to be so worried, after all, I’m here."

"You?"

Lin Hu gave him a sidelong glance, "What can you do, and you have the audacity to boast such big words!"

Realizing that Lin Hu was unaware of his identity, Ling Feng chose to remain silent, thinking to himself, Lin Xue, where have you run off to, leaving

to face your brother alone!

Seeing him say nothing, Lin Hu spoke in a cold tone, "Kid, I’m warning you. Lin Xue may have co because of you, and I can’t convince her otherwise, but if you dare do anything improper to my sister, I won’t let you off!"

"Uh, Chief Lin, rest assured, I definitely won’t let her be bullied by anyone!" Ling Feng said helplessly.

He really didn’t know what to say, as this future brother-in-law’s appearance ant that his interactions with Lin Xue would no longer be as easygoing as before, right?
