Chapter 1969: Chapter 1968: The Truth

This is not so remote wilderness, but rather a small town on the outskirts of the capital.

Ling Feng got out of the car and saw high walls and a large courtyard. At the entrance hung a sign that read: Jingxi Food Factory.

Seeing the na, Ling Feng was montarily speechless.

Using a food factory as a cover, that’s quite a bold idea.

Out of politeness, he didn’t use his Divine Sense to scan the situation in the courtyard, and followed Li Tong into the gate.

There was a small door on the big iron gate. After the two entered, they imdiately saw a very large courtyard.

Li Tong didn’t speak, but walked through the courtyard directly into the factory building opposite.

Ling Feng went in with her and then discovered that the outside was a dilapidated factory, but inside it was clean and tidy, the floor shiny like a mirror.

"I’ll take you to the conference room first, and later I’ll show you sothing!"

Li Tong said as she walked towards a room.

After they entered, the room contained a large conference table that could seat twenty people, but it was empty, with not a person in sight.

After sitting down, he didn’t speak, just looked up at Li Tong.

"Regarding that asteroid, we have already confird that it will eventually co to Earth. Now our biggest concern is not knowing its intention!"

Li Tong said, then continued, "If it’s benevolent, that’s fine, but if it’s like Mu Hu and his people, then things get complicated."

"Worried that Earth’s technology won’t be able to handle that thing?" Ling Feng asked.

"Yes, Mu Hu’s troops are sowhat controllable, but an alien spaceship is unpredictable!" Li Tong gritted her teeth.

"Indeed, if its technological prowess is extrely strong, perhaps just a small weapon would be enough to trouble us!"

Ling Feng nodded and then asked, "Have you been tracking and monitoring for several days without any results?"

"No!"

Li Tong shook her head, "The people from Arica are just responsible for data analysis. Actually, after the asteroid entered the Solar System, it has left sothing on several planets. It just left Jupiter and is heading towards Mars."

"Then it won’t be long before it reaches Earth!" Ling Feng said.

"Yes, so the situation is quite tricky right now, and there’s no ti for Earth to make any preparations." Li Tong said.

"Oh."

Ling Feng thought for a mont and then looked at her and asked, "You’re not planning to have

carry out a mission, are you? Can I handle a spaceship?"

"I’m sure you can’t!"

Li Tong said, then added, "So it’s not about having you do that, but you do need to help out a bit!"

"Why? Just because I know you?" Ling Feng asked.

"Of course not!"

Li Tong glared at him and then said, "If you need orders, I can call Director Han!"

"Uh, you’re overthinking it. I’m actually no longer with the security agency, I’m a free man, nobody can order

around!" Ling Feng said.

Li Tong looked at him, "Is that so? So you plan to do nothing?"

"Not exactly!"

Ling Feng chuckled, "I’m just telling you my situation. Since I’m here with you, things that need to be managed will still be looked after, but if you really want

to risk my life for an impossible task, I do have the right to refuse!"

"We won’t, we’re not trying to use you either!"

Li Tong rolled her eyes and then stood up, saying, "That’s the gist of it. Now co with

to the control room."

"Okay!"

Ling Feng nodded and stood up, then asked, "What does the control room do, control what?"

"You’ll find out when we get there!"

Li Tong said, turning around and leaving the conference room.

The two then went straight to another door.

Once inside they realized it was a passage leading to an elevator.

Ling Feng imdiately understood that there was actually an underground space beneath the factory!

Sure enough, after entering the elevator, Li Tong pressed the button for the negative first floor.

Upon reaching downstairs, the elevator doors didn’t open imdiately, and Ling Feng heard a faint buzzing sound from a buzzer.

"This is a security check, just stand still." Li Tong said.

Ling Feng said nothing, thinking to himself that the security level was indeed very high, not even the security agency headquarters had been like this.

When the buzzer stopped, the elevator door opened, and then they were confronted by four ard soldiers.

Seeing Li Tong, the four imdiately saluted, "Good day, team leader!"

"Good!"

Li Tong nodded and stepped out of the elevator.

Ling Feng followed, and the two passed through the corridor and arrived at the door at the end.

Once inside, they found a huge room with arrangents similar to those in a Rocket Center. A group of staff mbers were at their computers, and opposite them were three giant screens displaying rolling data and images.

Seeing Li Tong, a young man in a lab coat hurried over, "Team leader, you’re here!"

"Yes, I brought Mr. Ling over to take a look!"

Li Tong nodded, then said, "Play the data for him!"

"Sure!"

The lab coat quickly returned to his workstation, operated the computer, and a deep space scene appeared on the large screen opposite.

"We’ve been monitoring the asteroid’s movents all along; these are photos of it lingering at the edge of Uranus." Li Tong said.

Ling Feng took a closer look, only to see a vague spot of light in the image, but couldn’t make out anything clearly.

He then turned and asked, "Just this?"

"That spot of light isn’t the asteroid; it’s sothing it left behind, which sank into Uranus!"

Li Tong said, waiting for the screen to change before she continued, "This is the asteroid itself."

Ling Feng turned to look and saw a dark red image with an irregular long strip-shaped object appearing.

To be honest, the shape of this thing was very irregular, with one end thick and one end thin, the surface was rough and uneven, not at all neat.

After a look, he asked with a wry smile, "Is this supposed to be the spaceship? Why does it look like a teorite from Beyond the Heavens to ?"

"teorites wouldn’t have such special trajectories of movent, nor would they randomly accelerate or decelerate!"

Li Tong said, and the screen changed again to a diagram.

"This is its trajectory, according to our calculations, if nothing goes wrong, its final target is the Moon!" Li Tong said.

"Oh?"

Hearing this, Ling Feng’s mind raced, and he then asked, "So it’s not coming directly to Earth?"

"Once it’s on the Moon, it’s practically the sa as being on Earth!"

Li Tong said, turning to look at him, "The situation is serious, and we have less than a month left, once it’s on the Moon, major events are very likely to happen!"

"So what do you need

to do?"

Ling Feng looked at her, "Are you going to have

wait on the Moon?"

"It’s not impossible!"

Li Tong nodded, looking at him and said, "If you’re willing, we’ll provide so assistance!"
