Chapter 1748: Chapter 1747: Nina’s Doubts

Ling Feng smiled.

From Nina’s mind, he not only saw George’s figure but also saw Nina’s growth process from childhood to adulthood, like watching a fast-forwarded movie.

Now her identity was clear, this woman was actually George’s daughter!

When Ling Feng spoke out Nina’s identity, she was stunned!

Staring at Ling Feng in amazent, Nina stuttered, "How do you know that?"

"I have my special abilities. I also know that you’re not a detective but an archaeologist, which has quite a connection with your ancestor Joseph!" Ling Feng said indifferently.

These words left Nina completely bewildered.

Looking at Ling Feng in confusion, she murmured, "How do you know everything..."

Ling Feng didn’t say more, taking out his ID and handing it to her, "Here, take a look at this, it might help you understand sothing!"

Nina took the ID, glanced at it, and then looked up, "You are that Ling Feng?"

"It seems you’re not completely out of touch with society. Although you haven’t seen the videos and photos, you’ve heard of my na!" Ling Feng nodded.

"Yes, I do know your na, and I heard you took a few Crystal Skulls. So you approached my father because of this, right?" Nina coldly questioned as she threw Ling Feng’s ID back.

"It’s partly related, but not entirely!"

Seeing her hostility, Ling Feng shook his head and continued, "I wanted to ask if Mr. Joseph had any new discoveries. An elder from Huaxia left a diary recording sothing about the Crystal Skulls and Gyllenhaal. I ca to ask Mr. George about it, but he suddenly disappeared. We need to find him first!"

"Your ultimate goal is to seize the seven skulls, right?"

Nina sneered and continued, "There’s no need to explain so much. I know your ambition!"

"Uh..."

Ling Feng thought this was a huge misunderstanding, feeling a bit at a loss.

He took a mont to gather his thoughts and then said, "I do have the idea of collecting those skulls, but it’s not a necessity. Compared to the whereabouts of Gyllenhaal, the skulls are insignificant. Plus, this ti, it’s not just George who’s missing; a very important friend of mine is also gone. The initial purpose of my investigation into the disappearance is not the skulls!"

"Soone else is missing?"

Nina was montarily stunned and widened her eyes in shock.

Ling Feng nodded, "That’s right, George has been missing for over thirty-six hours, and my friend has been unreachable for about the sa ti. There must be so connection between the two!"

"Did you find any clues about your missing friend?" Nina asked.

"No, still investigating!"

Ling Feng sighed and then looked at her, "Regardless of what you think, my only thought now is to find the people first!"

"Then let

go. Otherwise, we’re just sitting here, thinking won’t lead to any clues!" Nina said.

Ling Feng nodded, "You’re right, you can leave now!"

"Really?"

Nina paused for a mont, carefully observing Ling Feng.

"Don’t worry, I keep my word. If I say you can go, you can!"

Ling Feng said and turned to Jess, "Jess, take Miss Nina back to Mr. George’s house!"

"Yes, sir!"

Jess, who had been bewildered when Ling Feng conjured a person out of nowhere, took a while to regain his composure after listening to the conversation between Ling Feng and Nina.

Now hearing Ling Feng’s orders, he readily agreed!

Nina’s eyes darted around, then she got up and walked towards the door. Opening the door, she said, "I will reconsider you. If there’s value in cooperation, I will co to find you again!"

"Alright, it’s up to you!"

Ling Feng nodded and lay directly on the sofa.

In his Divine Sense, Nina exited and only realized she had arrived at a hotel several kiloters away after going downstairs, leaving her a bit bewildered.

She turned back to Jess, "How did I get here?"

Jess shrugged, "I have no idea. When I ca back, it was just

and the sir. You suddenly appeared in the room!"

"..."

Nina looked at her watch, realizing it was already two in the morning, and ti seed to pass quickly. Not understanding what happened, she didn’t bother to ask more when she saw Jess’s street thug deanor and got directly into the car.

Watching the car drive away, Ling Feng withdrew his Divine Sense and lay on the sofa, closing his eyes.

At this point, the mist was getting thicker, and he didn’t know where Catherine was or if she was alright.

When he found her, he would be sure to ask what happened and then hunt down whoever kidnapped her, to tear them to pieces!

Thinking like this, Ling Feng gradually drifted into a state of half-sleep.

Soon he fell asleep, and when he woke up again, it was slightly dawn outside.

Checking the ti, it was now four in the morning. Jess had left with Nina and hadn’t returned!

Ling Feng thought maybe this guy didn’t plan to stay with him, and he considered it might be just as well without him.

But unexpectedly, as daylight brightened past five in the morning, there was a knock at the door, and Jess’s voice ca through, "Sir, I’m back!"

Ling Feng was taken aback and imdiately called out, "The door’s unlocked, co in!"

Jess ca in carrying two paper bags and put them on the coffee table, "I went to Chinatown to get so breakfast. I hope it suits your taste."

Ling Feng was speechless and then asked, "You didn’t co back so late just to buy breakfast, did you?"

"No, I didn’t want to disturb your rest, so I ca over a little later, and I also t a few friends!" Jess explained.

"Why et friends?" Ling Feng asked.

"To ask them to help check if there’s been any activity in the city lately. Maybe we’ll discover sothing!"

Jess said.

"You’re quite thoughtful!"

Ling Feng nodded in satisfaction, opened the paper bags, and saw so fried dough sticks, buns, soy milk, and rice porridge!

Looking up at Jess, Ling Feng laughed, "You really know our Oriental breakfast!"

"I have an Oriental friend who often eats like this, so I followed his habit to buy it!" Jess laughed.

Ling Feng eyed him, "Your Oriental friend isn’t a thug like you, is he?"

Jess shook his head, "No, he’s the right-hand man of our boss, known as the strategist!"

The word "strategist" was spoken in Chinese, leaving Ling Feng speechless.
