Chapter 1728: Chapter 1727: Mysterious Illness

As they got into the car and set off, Chen Fei said to Ling Feng, "I’m sorry to bother you for help again."

Ling Feng smiled, seeing her right hand resting on the gearshift, he reached out and held it: "What are you talking about? You’re my person, how could I not care about your issues?"

Chen Fei blushed and then said, "This ti, things are a bit complicated. The people from the bureau and the safety departnt are all here. I hope you can resolve this matter once you arrive!"

"What’s going on?" Ling Feng asked.

"There’s an issue in a village here. Fifteen people were sent to the hospital during the day. Initially, it was thought to be regular food poisoning, but by evening, more people started getting sick with varying symptoms. Sothing is evidently wrong."

"The local police station has already investigated and didn’t find anything. They notified the safety departnt, and it was the sa result!"

"The conditions of those villagers aren’t complex, but the causes differ. Now they’ve all been sent to various departnts in the county hospital."

Hearing this, Ling Feng seed to understand sothing and asked, "Are you suspecting sothing sinister might be in that village?"

"Yes."

Chen Fei nodded, looking at him: "It’s a strange case, but since there haven’t been significant casualties yet, I shouldn’t have asked for your help. But I can’t shake this uneasy feeling, and I fear things will get serious if delayed!"

"You did the right thing!"

Ling Feng replied, slightly frowning, "We cannot afford to be careless in such an unusual situation. These are critical tis!"

After saying this, he continued to Chen Fei: "Let’s head to the hospital first and check on those people’s symptoms."

"We’re already on the way to the hospital, almost there!"

Chen Fei nodded, gripping the steering wheel tightly.

At seven in the evening, the car passed through the gates of the county hospital.

They then bypassed the outpatient building and headed straight for the inpatient departnt.

The area was crowded with police personnel, firefighters, and busy doctors and nurses.

After listening to Chen Fei’s explanation, Ling Feng learned that the county had activated an ergency protocol, recalling off-duty doctors and getting support from other hospitals.

The number of affected individuals had exceeded thirty, with dical staff working tirelessly to provide care.

Upon reaching the ward area upstairs, Ling Feng entered a room and saw two patients lying in bed, extrely pale, their eyes open but unfocused.

He didn’t inquire of the doctors, directly stepping forward and taking one patient’s pulse for a thorough examination.

Soon, he identified the patient’s condition.

Acute gastroenteritis, nothing serious, already dicated, and the person should recover by tomorrow night.

He checked on the other person, who had the sa condition. Though this ailnt can be quite painful, it isn’t life-threatening.

After the examination, finding no indication of how the patients fell ill, Ling Feng looked up: "Let’s move to the next room; these two are fine!"

"Alright!"

To Chen Fei, Ling Feng’s words were as good as gospel.

But unexpectedly, as soon as they turned around, one of the patients suddenly wailed loudly, clutching his stomach in pain, as if enduring imnse tornt!

Ling Feng hesitated, then imdiately turned back to grab the patient’s pulse and found sothing strange; this person’s energy was being drained!

Shocked, Ling Feng concentrated, allowing his Spiritual Power to flow out and protect the person’s ridians.

The patient’s pain vanished instantly, but he gasped for air, clearly exhausted from earlier distress, struggling to endure it.

"What’s going on?" Chen Fei, standing beside, asked.

"Indeed, sothing peculiar is afoot!"

Ling Feng remarked and looked at the nearby, dumbfounded doctor: "Are other patients experiencing the sa issue?"

"Not before, but we saw similar cases an hour ago; now the entire building is in chaos, and soon you’ll hear them all getting sick together!" the doctor said.

"A collective affliction?"

Hearing this, Ling Feng imdiately frowned deeply!

After contemplating, a thought popped into his mind, so he turned to Chen Fei: "This won’t work; there’s too many for

alone to handle. Sister Fei, coordinate with the hospital to gather all the patients together, preferably in a spacious room!"

"Alright, I’ll find the director!"

Chen Fei nodded and hurried out.

"Mr. Ling, you are Mr. Ling, right?"

The doctor beside him cautiously asked.

Ling Feng turned to look at him, nodding: "Yes, that’s !"

"It really is you. Truly, Mr. Ling is here, making things easier!"

The doctor excitedly exclaid.

Many had been watching, feeling this young man resembled the Ling Feng they recognized from the internet but hesitant to confirm it.

Now that it was confird, everyone was thrilled.

Facing the crowd’s eager eyes, Ling Feng smiled and said, "I’m here for this issue today, don’t worry, I will handle it!"

"There’s nothing Mr. Ling can’t solve; we believe in you!" the doctor said.

Ling Feng, helpless, smiled wryly, thinking: Being famous isn’t good; these people are blindly worshipping !

So he had to add, "Don’t think of it that way, I’ll do my best to cure everyone while figuring out the cause!"

As soon as he finished, the doctor suddenly exclaid, "By the way, Mr. Ling, I recently noticed sothing strange, unsure if it’ll help you!"

"Oh? What is it?"

Ling Feng was taken aback and asked imdiately.

"While checking several patients, I found they all had a common trait, a black circular mark on their abdon that looks like a birthmark. But it can’t be that everyone has it, and in the sa spot, right?" the doctor explained.

Hearing this, Ling Feng’s interest piqued. He promptly lifted the garnt of the patient next to him, revealing a black circular mark the size of a di on his abdon.

Touching it, he felt a slight bulge, as if sothing was inside.

Seeing this, Ling Feng seed to understand sothing, and murmured to himself, "Indeed, there’s sothing to it!"

While diagnosing earlier, he started checking from the ridians’ internal aspects, considering internal factors. However, he hadn’t expected the cause of the patients’ afflictions to be external!

Observing the object, Ling Feng flipped his palm, and the God Slayer Saber appeared in his hand.

The crowd withdrew, unsure what he intended to do.

Ling Feng ignored them, bent down to look at the patient, then brought the blade close to the man’s abdon.

Unexpectedly, as soon as the blade touched the skin, the patient moaned in agony, his body convulsing violently, compelling Ling Feng to retract the blade.
