Chapter 1708: Chapter 1707: Tracking

Ling Feng and Catherine had a simple al and set off around nine o’clock, heading directly to the hotel where the French team was staying.

Once there, Ling Feng scanned with his Divine Sense, and saw that all the mbers of the French team, including the woman, were busy sorting out their equipnt.

Mountaineering boots, safety harnesses, carabiners, nylon ropes—they had a lot of gear.

Seeing this, Ling Feng raised an eyebrow, turned to Catherine and said, "These guys are planning to go mountaineering at night!"

Speaking of which, he suddenly rembered hearing Jack Ross ntion it earlier in the day, so he asked, "By the way, where is Eagle Beak Rock?"

"Never heard of it, is it a place?" Catherine asked.

"Yeah, I heard Jack Ross ntion it, these people are headed there tonight!" Ling Feng nodded.

Catherine made a sound of acknowledgnt, "Then just follow them, we’ll naturally find the place."

"Alright, let’s patiently wait; tonight might be a sleepless night!" Ling Feng said.

Catherine glanced at him, eyes widened, "And you were still trying to fool

earlier!"

"Hehe, what’s the rush? If tonight’s no good, there’s still ti tomorrow, right?"

Ling Feng chuckled bitterly, thinking to himself that this was the thing about Western won—too open-minded, no sense of restraint!

As they spoke, the French upstairs were already geared up, including the woman, who had changed into a set of black activewear.

Since their agreed ti was ten o’clock and it was already nine-thirty, Ling Feng estimated that Eagle Beak Rock wasn’t too far from there, so he said to Catherine, "They’re about to leave, let’s not follow too closely, staying about seven or eight hundred ters away will do!"

"Got it!"

Catherine already knew how Ling Feng kept track of the opponent’s movents and had great confidence in his abilities.

Watching as a whole group of people in black filed downstairs and boarded a bus, Ling Feng sneered, "These guys are really conspicuous, setting out like this as if they’re afraid others won’t know they’re up to sothing!"

After the bus left, Catherine waited a few minutes before starting the car to follow them slowly.

The bus wasn’t driving quickly, wavering out of town until it stopped a few kiloters out.

Then, Ling Feng sensed with his Divine Sense that everyone had gotten off the bus and disappeared into the roadside forest.

Seeing this, he said to Catherine, "Alright, we need to get out and track them now."

The car parked by the roadside, and they quickly caught up.

The nearly twenty-person team ahead rushed through the jungle, quickly entering a hilly area.

Ling Feng held Catherine’s hand, keeping a distance of seven to eight hundred ters, trailing quietly without falling behind.

At ten in the evening, the French team stopped.

Seeing them standing atop a small hill with a protruding rock underfoot, Ling Feng smiled silently!

This rock dares to claim to be Eagle Beak Rock? Who gives them such confidence?

He led Catherine closer, found a spot with a sowhat unobstructed view, allowing her to vaguely see the scene opposite.

Now within less than three hundred ters, twenty-odd people cast shadows atop the hill. Catherine glanced and asked, "Is Jack Ross there?"

"No, so have just joined the French, but it’s not him!" Ling Feng replied.

"So, does that an he won’t be coming tonight then?"

Ling Feng nodded, "It’s possible!"

Then he laughed, "It doesn’t matter, that guy can’t escape, anyway I’m not here to deal with them tonight!"

Watching as the two groups united and moved deeper into the hills again, Ling Feng grabbed Catherine’s hand and followed them once more.

As they walked, Catherine quietly asked, "What do you think they’re up to?"

"Who knows, but it’s definitely sothing big; maybe they’ve discovered so treasure again?" Ling Feng speculated.

Talking as they trailed behind, they soon saw a large pit ahead!

It was a massive circular pit with so water at the bottom, about the size of a pond.

The group ahead stopped at the pit’s edge, peering in, saying nothing.

Seeing this strange developnt, Ling Feng pulled Catherine to a higher ground and stopped.

It was clear the opponent had arrived at their mission destination, but he still didn’t know what they were up to.

There was nothing in that pit, and the water depth was probably less than a ter, there couldn’t be any underwater creatures!

Ling Feng didn’t understand, but he wasn’t in a rush; having already followed them, he quietly watched from afar.

A few minutes later, the French began pulling out equipnt, anchoring bolts into the rocks, then threading ropes through and tossing the other end to the pit bottom.

Seeing them preparing to descend, the corner of Ling Feng’s mouth curled up; looked like there really was sothing good at the pit bottom!

Well, can’t bla

for being impolite then!

He didn’t rush to act, keeping them locked in with his Divine Sense while telling Catherine, "I’ll rush in soon, get what we need and co back for you, then we’ll leave together!"

"Don’t you have underlings? Do you have to handle such things yourself?" Catherine asked.

"Uh, good point!"

Ling Feng paused, then scratched his head, "Then I’ll let Tian Lian handle it!"

Saying this, he moved to another side of the Shan Feng and summoned Tian Lian.

With a flash of white light, Tian Lian appeared, "Master, what are your orders?"

"Help

check what those people are searching for down there, if possible, snatch it for !"

Ling Feng instructed, adding, "If you can’t take it, destroy it instead!"

"Got it!"

Tian Lian nodded, her figure disappeared in a blink.

Ling Feng was taken aback, not expecting she had such an ability.

He then returned to the other side of Shan Feng, seeing that the French, equipped, had already rappelled to the pit bottom, leaving just a few observers above.

The pit bottom beca illuminated with dozens of lights.

Standing there, he and Catherine could barely make out the situation below with the naked eye. Catherine, piqued with curiosity, asked, "What could be down there? It’s really puzzling!"

Ling Feng chuckled softly, "Don’t worry, we’ll find out soon!"

Those people illuminated by lights approached the water and paused, then began fiddling with sothing at their waists.

Ling Feng, even with his Divine Sense, couldn’t clearly see what it was, but soon noticed them opening the items in their hands and casting them into the water.

White powder instantly dissolved, vanishing at once.

While Ling Feng was puzzled, the water surface suddenly started bubbling intensely, the people stepped back a few paces, showing wary expressions!

Witnessing this, Ling Feng murmured, "Now that’s interesting!"
