Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Witnessing Miracles

The speaker ans no harm, but the listener hears a lot. Ling Feng slapped his forehead when he heard Li Yui say this. "I knew it! I always felt like I’ve had this kind of fruit before. It’s definitely the taste of Flower Red Fruit!"

"Yeah, but it’s strange. How co it’s grown so big and tastes so good?" Li Yui asked.

At this, Ling Feng and Li Shiyun exchanged glances, just smiling without ntioning the Shennong Hoe.

"Don’t worry about it, just save it for later. We can also make so fruit puree for Yu Ya, let her have a taste," Ling Feng said with a smile.

"Mhm, she’ll definitely like it!" Li Yui nodded.

"Good to hear. She’ll get more tasty treats in the future. Shiyun and I have so things to do, so we’ll head back first," Ling Feng said.

Li Yui saw the two out, watching their retreating figures walking side by side until they beca distant. An inexplicable sense of loss ca over her.

After reaching the village committee office, Li Shiyun pulled out several files recording the administrative divisions of Shiliu Village and handed them to Ling Feng. "Take a look at this," she said.

"No need, the terrain of the mountains is already imprinted in my mind," Ling Feng shook his head.

"Then draft a preliminary contract. With this, we can proceed," Li Shiyun said.

Although she was the Village Chief, she didn’t have the authority to decide on her own to contract the barren hills on the west side to Ling Feng.

However, once the draft contract was ready, it would be easy to handle. They just had to hold a villager’s eting to discuss it, and if everyone agreed, there would be no problem.

Even if the Luo Family people rushed over tomorrow morning to say they wanted the contract, it was too late. The village would have to process Ling Feng’s contract first, in accordance with the order.

Looking at the paper and pen Li Shiyun handed over, Ling Feng forced a smile. "You better write it. I’ve never written a contract before, don’t even know the format!"

"Alright then, I’ll do it!" Li Shiyun nodded, pulled up a stool, and sat down.

Just as they started to discuss the contract, Chen Yuhe’s call ca through to Ling Feng’s cell phone.

"So, any news from your dad?" Ling Feng answered and asked.

"Yes, but he told

to warn you not to think about opposing the Luo Family, in the end, the one who suffers will be you!" Chen Yuhe said.

Ling Feng was taken aback and then asked, "Did you tell him straight up?"

"No, I just showed him the photo of that black stone, and he figured out it was from Shiliu Village, then guessed it must be what you wanted to ask about," Chen Yuhe replied.

"This is getting interesting. So he didn’t tell you what the stone is, did he?" Ling Feng asked with a laugh.

Chen Yuhe humd a yes, unable to help saying, "Ling Feng, you better not get involved with the Luo Family, I’m afraid..."

"No need to be afraid, I still have so common sense, won’t blatantly confront them," Ling Feng said softly, feeling her concern.

"Alright..." There was a pause on Chen Yuhe’s side before she added, "If there’s nothing up tomorrow, I’ll co to Shiliu Village to find you."

"Sure, bring Jiaolan with you if she has ti. I have a surprise for you two!" Ling Feng laughed.

"What surprise?"

Upon hearing this, Chen Yuhe’s girlish curiosity couldn’t be more obvious as she imdiately asked.

Of course, Ling Feng wouldn’t reveal it now, so he teased, "You’ll know when you get here!"

After hanging up, Li Shiyun who was working on the contract looked up, "Making it sound so mysterious?"

"Who cares? The more mysterious, the more valuable that stone must be. Let them watch but not be able to touch it, it’ll drive them crazy with envy!" Ling Feng chuckled mischievously.

Li Shiyun glanced at him, saying nothing. After writing a few lines, she passed the paper over. "Sign here. Once the villager’s eting is held tomorrow and everyone agrees, we just need the village stamp, and it’s done."

Ling Feng took a glance at the contract in hand and noticed that the contract period was for thirty years, but the amount was not specified, so he asked, "How much is the contracting fee?"

Li Shiyun replied, "I don’t have the final say on that. We’ll ask for the township’s opinion tomorrow. It shouldn’t be too expensive, a few thousand yuan per year should be enough."

Ling Feng looked down to sign his na on the contract and then handed it back to her, "That’s fine. But right now I’m poor and have nothing, barely enough money for the expenses at the greenhouse. You’ll have to hurry and look into that loan for !"

"I said I could cover it for you first. Why wouldn’t you use it?" Li Shiyun gave him a look, her tone carrying a trace of complaint.

It’s always hard to accept favors from a beautiful woman, as they say.

Ling Feng gave an awkward smile and changed the subject, "It’s getting late, I should head ho."

Li Shiyun didn’t speak and walked him to the door.

After leaving the house, Ling Feng, still not giving up, turned back, "Aren’t you scared living alone at night?"

"Stop overthinking things and hurry back to sleep!" Li Shiyun’s face flushed red as she gave him a look!

This guy’s intentions were all too obvious!

Ling Feng chuckled without teasing her further, and under the moonlight left the village committee office and headed ho.

The following morning, while he was still deeply asleep, a series of urgent knocks sounded from outside.

Getting up and opening the door, he saw Li Shiyun standing there in sportswear, her hair tied in a ponytail, exuding youthful energy.

"This early?" Ling Feng’s eyes lit up before he asked, puzzled.

"I couldn’t sleep. I want to see if there’s been any change with the vegetables!" Li Shiyun said as she stepped into the house and went straight out the back door.

Ling Feng had no choice but to follow, and they both headed straight to the vegetable garden.

But as soon as they saw the vegetables in the garden bed, both were stunned!

A dense green blocked their vision, as if there was a wall in front of them!

Upon closer inspection, they realized they were cucumbers and green beans. Their vines had only been a bit over a ter in height the previous night, but now they had climbed up along the wall and onto the roof!

Not only that, an abundance of lateral vines had sprouted and intertwined, creating a wall-like visual effect.

"Your Shennong Hoe really is amazing, it’s only been one night and they’ve already grown this much!" Li Shiyun exclaid with joy.

Ling Feng had anticipated this, so he wasn’t too surprised. He simply picked a fresh cucumber and took a crunchy bite.

The rich cucumber fragrance filled his mouth, with a hint of sweetness. After two bites, he imdiately nodded and turned to give Li Shiyun a try, "Taste it!"

Looking at the bite he had just taken, Li Shiyun hesitated for a mont but still accepted it and gently took a small bite.

Her eyes imdiately widened in surprise, "Delicious! It’s crunchy, sweet, and so juicy!"

Ling Feng had already bent down to crawl through a gap in the ’wall,’ and then looked at the leafy vegetables, calling back, "Co over and look, there’s been a big change here too!"

Li Shiyun quickly followed through the gap and stood in astonishnt.

The first thing she saw was a row of green plants as tall as her, long tubular leaves unfurling and gently swaying in the wind.

"This, this is green onion?" Li Shiyun asked, her mouth agape in amazent.

"That’s right. They’ve grown a bit too big, might be hard to sell for a good price," Ling Feng nodded as he plucked a green onion leaf and chewed it, his mouth instantly filled with its aroma.
