Chapter 1026: Chapter 1026: Rebirth

This peculiar egg was taken out and placed on the ground. Ling Yao and Long Xiaoyu looked at it together and then shook their heads at the sa ti: "We don’t know."

Upon hearing this, Ling Feng’s face was imdiately filled with disappointnt. If even they didn’t know, then it was really uncertain who else to ask.

Unexpectedly, Ling Ling, who had been quiet the whole ti, spoke up: "This is a Divine Beast Phoenix’s egg."

"Really?"

Once Ling Feng heard this, he imdiately turned his head toward her: "Are you sure?"

"I’m sure, I’ve seen such an egg at the summit of Kunlun before!" Ling Ling said.

"An egg of a Divine Beast, is it possible to hatch a Phoenix from it?" Ling Feng asked.

"Yes, but it is said that hatching this thing is very troubleso. Ordinary people can hardly succeed, but if successful, the hatched Phoenix will recognize its owner and obey them for life," Ling Ling explained.

Upon hearing this, Ling Feng yearned for it. That’s a Phoenix, after all. Even without doing anything, just having it summoned by his side would be a very cool sight!

However, he beca puzzled: "But it’s strange, that guy clearly wasn’t trying to hatch the Phoenix; it seed like he just wanted to swallow the egg whole!"

"Inside it contains the Phoenix Bloodline. Swallowing it would grant a trendous enhancent to one’s abilities, and could even provide the power of Rebirth from Nirvana. Of course he would want it!" Ling Ling said.

"Resurrection?"

Ling Feng widened his eyes in surprise: "What do you an by that?"

"Haven’t you heard about the Phoenix undergoing Nirvana, resurrecting from its flas?" Zhou Yi asked.

"I have. What I an is, by eating this thing, could one gain the ability to resurrect?" Ling Feng asked.

Ling Ling nodded: "Yes!"

"This is bad!"

Upon hearing this, Ling Feng didn’t hesitate and imdiately turned around to leave.

While walking, he said: "I must go back to the provincial city right now. I’ll co back later!"

Zhou Yi guessed what he was planning to do and nodded: "Don’t worry, we’ll wait for you."

Ling Feng hurriedly used Teleportation to get back to the Reception Hall, then quickly dialed Deng Xian’s number.

It was just past four in the morning, and Deng Xian was in the middle of sleeping. Awoken by the ringtone of Ling Feng’s call, he asked groggily: "Mr. Ling, it’s so early?"

"Where are the bodies of Gao Xiaobao and Mao Jianguo?" Ling Feng asked.

"At the funeral ho, what’s the matter?" Deng Xian asked, puzzled.

"Good, as long as they haven’t been cremated, that’s fine. Have their bodies been scheduled for cremation yet?" Ling Feng asked.

"Not yet. The families of the other party have not arrived yet, and the school has not finished discussing the funeral arrangents with them. It’s going to take a while," Deng Xian said.

Upon hearing this, Ling Feng imdiately said: "That’s great. I’m preparing to go to the funeral ho now. Mr. Deng, could you bring a few people to join ?"

"What are you going to do?" Deng Xian asked.

"I think I’ve found a way to resurrect them. I’ll tell you more about it when you co to find . Let’s go to the funeral ho together!" Ling Feng said.

"Um..."

Deng Xian was bewildered, feeling like he was hearing a wild and fanciful story.

But knowing that Ling Feng was no ordinary person, and though his idea was bizarre, it wasn’t entirely unbelievable, so he nodded: "Okay, I’ll arrange for people!"

After hanging up the phone, Ling Feng turned around to see Mo Lan and the others staring at him, so he smiled: "Did I disturb you?"

"Did you just say you have a way to bring the dead back to life?" Xun Qianqian asked.

Ling Feng nodded: "It’s just a speculation. Whether it’ll work or not, we have to try and see!"

"Then I want to go with you to see. Can I?" Xun Qianqian asked.

"Don’t go. Soone needs to stay here; Chen Yan’s matter isn’t over yet," Ling Feng said.

"With Lanlan and Mo Lan here, it shouldn’t matter if I’m gone, right?" Xun Qianqian asked.

Ling Feng was speechless and looked at her, "I’m going to deal with a corpse, do you think this is fun?"

"What’s the big deal? Corpses aren’t scary!" Xun Qianqian pouted.

"Alright then."

Ling Feng didn’t want to keep refusing, so he simply compromised.

So, after about ten minutes, the two of them got into a car driven by Deng Xian at the school gate.

It was still dark outside when the car headed towards the funeral ho, and he couldn’t help but ask, "Mr. Ling, can you really bring a dead corpse back to life?"

"I’m just guessing; I want to try it out and see if it works," Ling Feng said.

"Oh, but one of the corpses drowned severely, and the other was all mangled from a high fall. Even if you brought them back to life, they probably wouldn’t survive, right?" Deng Xian asked.

Ling Feng smiled, "You’ll see when we get there."

When a white hue erged in the sky, the car arrived at the funeral ho.

The group easily made it to the morgue with their own IDs, and into the cold storage room used specifically for storing the bodies of those who died unexpectedly.

After asking the funeral ho staff to leave, Ling Feng pulled out both the bodies of Gao Xiaobao and Mao Guoqiang.

Deng Xian and Xun Qianqian watched with great curiosity, but neither said a word.

Ling Feng had no idea how to perform the supposed rebirth from fire and could only try and see.

So he found two pieces of paper, lit them on fire, and threw them onto Gao Xiaobao’s body.

The flas from the burning paper weren’t great. They flickered on his body and nearly went out straight away.

But then, suddenly, the fla flared up, and tongues of fire leaped over half a ter high!

After that, a yellow blaze instantly enveloped Gao Xiaobao’s body.

All three people present, including Ling Feng, were stunned.

The man was still dressed in the clothes from the accident, and there were no flammable materials on him—how could a tiny fla cause such a big fire?

"Mr. Ling, if you burn the corpse, it’ll be difficult to explain to the family later, won’t it?" Deng Xian couldn’t help but ask.

Ling Feng smiled, "Don’t worry, the family will have to thank us!"

As he spoke, Xun Qianqian exclaid in shock, "Oh my god, he’s moving!"

Ling Feng and Deng Xian turned to look and saw that Gao Xiaobao’s body was indeed trembling slightly!

Deng Xian: "..."

He had never seen such a scene before, and even with his strict training, he couldn’t help but shiver at this sight.

Ling Feng, however, was excited. He hadn’t expected this thod to actually work!

He was also relieved that they arrived early. If these two had been cremated too soon, what would they do if they woke up in the furnace?

Then it would be too late for prayers; even if resurrected, they would be burned to ashes again, and then it would truly be death beyond death!

Gao Xiaobao’s body trembled for a mont, then the flas suddenly disappeared. He let out a long sigh from his mouth and then abruptly sat up.

Xun Qianqian, who had claid she was brave, took several steps back at this point, already retreating to the door of the cold storage.

Resurrection from death always carried an eerie feeling, and she started to feel scared.

But Ling Feng wasn’t afraid; he stepped forward and asked, "How do you feel?"
