The teacher gave him an impossible quest. That said, there was no backing down now. Since the other party had already said to co back only after finishing the task, he couldn’t just go back without even trying to clear the quest first.
Plus, he didn’t know where this confidence of his was stemming from, but he felt like he would be able to clear this quest.

"Never mind, I will ask the elders or the other disciples about it" Even so, Yang Chen shook his head adamantly and turned towards the direction of his courtyard.
Tang Xun’er and Lin Huiyin saw him off with their eyes. After taking an ample rest in the night, he headed out of the academy at early morning the next day.
Near the gate, the sun had yet to co up and it was still dark outside. Yang Chen paved his way, and after climbing one mountain after another, he ca to a stop in front of a large clearing.

Seeing that there was no possibility of changing their mind, he could only let them do as they wish.
"However, there is one condition. You two must promise that you will retreat if the danger is too much for us to handle".
The two nodded their heads, clearly overjoyed by his words.
"By the way, you are going towards the wrong direction" Tang Xun’er comnted while trying not to make eye contact with Yang Chen.
And so, after recorrecting their Route, Yang Chen; correction, the three of them headed for their destination, the Night Wind Forest.

At the far north of the empire, bordering the Blackthorn empire, was a forest so vast and dark that it was known for not allowing any ray of sunlight to pass through it. Multiple villages rested at the periphery of such a forest.
At this mont, sowhere inside the deepest part of the forest, a group of n with well built and strange attire could be seen having a banquet. Around them were huge, wide iron cages and from inside it ca savage growls and dark aura.
However, the n paid it no attention and went on with their celebration.
"Leader, it looks like the latest creation of our blackthorn empire is quite useful. Over the years, we easily killed the mbers of the top five clans of the Tianyun Empire. If this goes on, we could perhaps even conquer this land from them"
A foot soldier who seed to be clearly too drunk, spoke in an excited manner. From his words and attire, it was clear that they were not the resident of the Tianyun Empire.
