Although he can do without these items, however, now that he had gotten the taste of how useful these items were for his growth, he couldn't just stop using them as that would slow down his progress.
One thing that Yang Chen learned from the mories of the previous owner of this body, was that he needed strength to survive in this world. Hence these items were necessary investnts.
"Hmm, I need to find a way to earn more mischief points," Yang Chen thought internally.
Killing others for points provided very little and he was a little afraid that if he walked on that path, he would beco a psychopath who can't live without drawing blood every day.
That being said, his actions needed to have a certain level of evil/mischief for the system to recognise them and allocate points.
Well if it really ca to the point where he had no other option to earn points, Yang Chen was ready to walk the Shura's path.
Amon who was aware of Yang Chen's thoughts, ca up with a proposal.
"Although those twisted thoughts of yours very much please , let's keep killing as the last resort for now since it's too boring and partly because if you kill too many people, you will inevitably draw attention from a strong person on yourself".
"Until you reach a level where you can do as you please, I think that killing mindlessly is a bad option".
Yang Chen understood what Amon was trying to convey. If he killed people to grind points, he would attract the attention of justice seeking people. It would be too botherso if they tracked him everywhere he went.
Worse if they were very strong, he might even lose his life. So what other options did he have?
"So what do you propose?" Yang Chen asked.
Amon flashed a wicked grin and suddenly put up a question "Have you ever tried to see what other items were in the shop besides the battle skills, pills and weapons?".
"Uhm about that... hmm it slipped my mind. Ever since diving inside this forest everything around wanted to kill , so I had no ti to even think about it. I was just too caught up to survive every single day" Yang Chen answered scratching his hair.
"That is true; however, what I want from you is not an excuse. If you wanted to survive in this world, you should have thought about it and made so ti to gloss through so items that might be of so use to you. Like this one here"
Amon swiped his trident and pulled up an item from the [Shop]. The thing displayed was a small pouch containing a pink powder.
Powder of Hysteria... just like its na sounds, the powder had a very unique effect.
"This powder causes a strong hysteria in the beings that take a sniff of it and makes them go berserk. During that state, their mind would go crazy and they will start attacking madly. They won't see if the ones they are attacking are their own allies or foes".
"It will work for two hours before the effects of the powder fades away. What do you think would happen if you sprinkle the powder on a hunter's camp? Wouldn't there be a good show to watch? That way not only you will not need to kill yourself, but you will also earn mischief points for your action". Amon laughed demonically.
"It's not a bad proposal. Items like these also used to be in the ga that I used to play. They were used to grind levels. Although their nas were different, there were so items which had the sa effect like the powder of hysteria. This one is better in the sense that it can also be used on humans"
"However, to sprinkle the powder I would need to get closer to their camp enough so that they get a sniff of the powder. It will only work on camps with hunters below my level. If we approach a camp with a high level hunter, they might be able to detect ".
"If only I had stealth skills, like in those gas, it would have been an easy task. Also, let's say, I do sohow manage to infiltrate their camps and spread the powder all around. However, when the effect of the item fades away, wouldn't those hunters who saw be furious at ? I cannot say it is a good plan"
Yang Chen pointed out the flaws of this plan. When it ca to the ga like elents, he was much more cunning. It was obvious after all, sitting in that room all he could do was play the nurous gas to pass his ti.
"Hmm, you are right. Let's not do this, the plan will only make more enemies for you and work against us"
Even Amon who suggested the plan changed his mind. He was just about to drop the issue and tell that they can always find so other thod to earn mischief points when suddenly Yang Chen started to laugh.
"Why are you laughing?" the demon asked.
"You can read my thoughts correct? Why don't you try to read my mind and guess why I am laughing?" the smile on Yang Chen's face deepened.
Amon looked at him with sceptical eyes before focusing to read his thoughts. That was when the look in its eyes changed and it widened in shock.
"You!... Kukuku, that is an amazing plan. I'm surprised that you ca up with it".
The two people, one human and one tiny demon grinned, their smiles extrely alike.
"Hehe, who do you think I am? Although I may be inexperienced when it cos to survival, I am not inferior to anyone when it cos to elents like this. I may not look like it, but all the gas that I played, I have completed all the quests even the most difficult ones and levelled all of my avatars to their highest levels" Yang Chen declared proudly.
"Kukuku... I don't know if it is sothing to brag about, but it seems like I was too hasty to judge the host. This plan of yours is very good; however, you must rember one thing, the effects of this powder of hysteria is not omnipotent. Higher levelled being would easily be able to shake off its effect".
