As of now, Yang Chen was like a blank slate with limited life experience. His temperant as well as his character, was volatile. it is through repeated trials and challenges, Amon planned on forging his character.
"Fine" Yang Chen was a man who liked acting with decisiveness as such, he made up his mind at this mont. He would go to the desert auction.
As for the Yan clan, he wasn’t afraid of them. The only reason he was hiding from them was because at his current level of strength, he couldn’t fight them head on.
What he was doing was biding his ti to get stronger. Once his strength reaches a certain level where he can put down his own weight, he will no longer have to run for his life like he did with the Yan clan.
With that thought in mind, he looked towards the staff and nodded his head.
"Wise choice, esteed custor. At this mont, there are many rumours of treasure surfacing from the desert ruin. If the esteed custor is lucky, he might be able to obtain so treasures from the auction and soar like a dragon in the sky"
The staff bootlicked. With how smooth he was with his words, it was clear that the staff had used these words on everyone here.
Yang Chen smiled noncommittally and tossed the fee for the Air Engine to the staff.
"Haha, we have received your money. Hold onto this token. When the air engine arrives at the Desert ruins, show it to the guards there"
The staff passed him an odd looking greyish colour token. Yang Chen took the token and walked towards the lounging area where he waited for the appointed ti to board the air engine.
As he lazed around, his eyes scanned all the people and factions that ca inside the Sky Eagle rchant Guild. Many of them possessed a powerful aura and were donned in a shady appearance.
Nevertheless, the Sky Eagle Guild did not make any attempt to probe into their identities. As long as they could pay, everyone was free to enter.
Thanks to this, Yang Chen’s own appearance which was hidden underneath the robe, did not garner any attention.
Ti passed by, and soon it was ti to board the Air Engine. Guided by the staff of the Sky Egle Guild, Yang Chen and many others were brought into a large open ground behind the building where they saw a huge chanical construct stationed in the middle of the ground.
Standing tall and imposing, the Air Engine’s massive fra dominated the open ground. Its exterior was rugged, yet sturdy, adorned with patches of tarnished tal and worn-out canvas.
Despite its weathered appearance, there was also an undeniable aura of power emanating from it. The sound of creaking tal and whirring gears filled the place as the engine humd to life, its engines churning with a low, steady rumble.
The rhythmic pulsing of energy could be felt in the very air around it, adding to onlookers a sense of anticipation and excitent. Gigantic propellers adorned the top of the Air Engine as they propelled the massive object forward.
Tethered to the ground by thick ropes and chains, the Air Engine seed to strain against its bindings, eager to take flight and soar through the skies.
Many of the people here who hadn’t seen the Air Engine before, gasped in astonishnt as they marvelled at the architectural phenonon that was the Air Engine. However, Yang Chen who was from the modern day earth, couldn’t help but narrow his eyes when he saw the vessel.
"This is the Air Engine?! It looks like the Airships and flight balloons from the olden tis" he couldn’t help but remark.
Although there were slight differences, the body of the Air Engine matched the description of a flight balloon an awful lot. In any case, Yang Chen wasn’t as amazed as the others when he saw the Air Engine for the first ti.
