Zhou Tong hoped that the eting between Yang Chen and Yan Zhuo would inspire self-reflection and improvent in Yan Zhuo. However, even he couldn’t have predicted what fate the destiny had set for the two geniuses who were about to et for the first ti face to face.

Inside the tower, the Sixth Floor— As soon as Yang Chen appeared, he was amazed to find a sea of lava all around him.

The Air here was heavy with an acrid scent of sulphur. Powerful heatwaves and occasional geysers that shoot forth columns of lava into the air made one’s nerves taut on this floor.

Unlike the other floors, the sixth floor was entirely covered in a sea of lava. If one wanted to tread this place and reach the centre of the floor, one would have to travel and jump atop the giant rocks that floated on top of the sea of magma.

"So this is the sixth floor huh?! The fla energy here is ten tis greater than that of the fifth floor" Yang Chen released a deep breath of sigh.

"Huff... Although I still do not feel any pressure, the heat here is powerful enough to tinge my skin. That said, the benefits of this floor are also imnse. The rate at which my experience bar is filling up is insane".

"A little more and I will reach the Three Star Battle Master level. As I thought, climbing the floor was the right choice. If my progress is already so fast here, I wonder how insane it would be on the topmost floor of this tower, the Seventh Floor".

Yang Chen flashed a smile, one could see the excitent blazing in his pitch black eyes which had now beco crimson, reflecting the colour of the floor.

The sixth floor was far from his being his limit as such, he decided to continue climbing. Making up his mind, Yang Chen carefully tread the treacherous terrain here.

He jumped from one rock to another and used them as a makeshift boat to proceed forward. The sixth floor was far smaller than all the other floors as such, it didn’t take him much ti to reach the centre of the floor.

"What’s that? An Altar?" In the middle of the sea of lava, Yang Chen noticed an altar standing defiantly atop a platform of steps.

It seed to be ancient and crafted with weathered stone. Its surface was etched with intricate patterns and mysterious symbols. Despite being surrounded by infernal heat and a sea of lava, the stone remained resilient and unaffected.

As Yang Chen slowly drew near, he was able to observe the altar more closely and that was when he also noticed a figure silently ditating a couple of steps below the Altar.

That figure also seed to have sensed sothing as they slowly opened their eyes and glanced at Simon. Those lofty eyes that carried an inborn arrogance were at this mont masked with surprise at the arrival of another person.

"What?! This can’t be, there was another participant other than who was able to reach this floor?" Yan Zhuo muttered in disbelief. He never thought that there would be soone among the participant who would be able to reach the sa floor as him.

He thought that he had already seen the capability of other participants after they failed to climb above the fourth floor. However, it appeared that he had made a hasty judgent. There was actually soone who was able to keep up with him.

’Interesting, I guess there would be no fun without a little bit of challenge. I wonder how many steps he would be able to climb before he hit his limits’ Yan Zhuo thought to himself.

After that, he ignored Yang Chen and quickly got back to his own cultivation. He did not know who the other party was to have managed to climb to the sixth floor but so what? The real challenge started from here.

The platform of steps below the altar, was there for a reason. And that reason was to test the limits of the participants.

Yang Chen jumped from the rock and landed on the platform. After he lightly dusted himself, he set his attention on the altar and at Yan Zhuo who sat cross legged just a couple of steps away from him.

"So this guy was here huh. I was thinking that I might bump into him as I keep on climbing the floor. However, who would have thought that this guy was already on the sixth floor"

Yang Chen was amazed, in terms of capability this person far outclassed the rest of the participants who ca for the entrance test. Their talent aside, even his strength was monstrous.

Although he was unable to tell accurately judge the strength of the other party, based on the aura they released, he believed it was sowhere around the late stage battle master level.

Strength like that, was comparable to the first elder of a prominent clan from the cloud city like the Zhang Clan. Yet the person in front of him was already at that level at his age.

That being said, it was not like Yang Chen was afraid. Although he would have preferred to avoid coming in contact with the other party, if push cos to shove he wouldn’t mind showing the latter that he was no pushover.

Thinking so, he proceeded forward and took his first step towards the altar. There were exactly twelve steps on the platform with each step uniform and perfectly aligned.

Additionally, it had enough width and depth for multiple people to comfortably sit there and cultivate.

The mont Yang Chen took his first step, he felt an invisible pressure bear down on him, like a giant hand trying to push him back. The heat around him intensified and the air beca heavy and oppressive making it difficult to breathe.

These effects just assaulted Yang Chen when it disappeared as if it was all his imagination. However, Yang Chen knew that it wasn’t his imagination, but the doing of his system.
