Chapter 977: Gaming Textbook

Lu Li only had two stones left – a -7% and a -10%. For now, these would be enough.
The arena was the sa as a battleground; you gained a certain amount of experience upon victory. However, the arena rewards weren’t as great as the battleground rewards. After all, the arena was still more focused on solo-killing. Even with all the efforts that Lu Li had made, he only earned 3% EXP. This was worse than killing monsters in the wild for him.
He continued to play in the arena for a little more after he received his rewards until an unexpected person ssaged him. If it wasn’t for this ssage, he would have already forgotten that he added this person to his friend list.
Ms. Su probably would have never imagined anyone forgetting about her.
“What’s up?”
Ms. Su was sure that although he didn’t sound impatient, he didn’t sound too happy either. With a sad tone, she sighed, “Perhaps you don’t rember what you’ve promised .”
“I’m busy right now...” Lu Li lied. He wasn’t really busy; he was just playing arena.
“Then when are you going to take to level up?” Ms. Su wasn’t unreasonable – if Lu Li was really busy, she didn’t mind leveling up another ti.
“Uhm... What level are you planning to reach?”
Ms. Su wasn’t his apprentice. NPCs leveled up fast, much faster than players. Not to ntion, Ms. Su didn’t share any Experience or Reputation rewards with him, and Lu Li had no interest in taking her to level up just because she was pretty.
“To be honest, I just want to discover so of the interesting things to this ga, but I’m too low leveled. Hmph, I’m level 2 right now, but I’ve already been slain a few tis by these monsters,” Ms. Su said in a depressed tone.
She was still at Horthshire Abbey – the beginner village for the human race.
“Alright, I’ll show you around,” Lu Li offered. He felt guilty about letting a girl play alone by herself without any help.
“Thanks. I owe you one,” Ms. Su said gratefully.
She actually really liked this kind of communication; it made her feel like a normal person instead of a famous celebrity.
However, Lu Li never really thought much towards celebrities.
Horthshire Abbey was located in the east direction of Stormwind City, in the valleys of the Elwynn Forest. So said that this was the origin of the disasters in Azeroth. A wizard that had rested here for decades opened the dark door and unleashed a terrible disaster onto this continent.
Conversely, so also said that it was the source of hope. Anduin Wrynn had escaped from the Death Mines and also rested here before he began to lead the Alliance.
Regardless, many legendary figures had walked out from this quiet valley, including the founder of the Silverhand Recruits, Alonsus Faol. “Esarus thar no’Darador” (With blood for honor) was still spoken of by many.
The fate of Horthshire Abbey had nothing to share with these stories. Despite all that it has been through, it was still the location where the human adventurers started.
Originally, Lu Li was going to play as a human. The human race had many advantages that Elves did not, but he was more familiar with the advantages of the Elves from his previous life. The Supre Ring was also another factor that contributed to why he decided to play as an Elf.
Ms. Su was wearing average Paladin equipnt; it was the set that ca at the start.
Although this was well known to be the ugliest set of plated gear, it wasn’t ugly at all on Ms. Su. She seed to have so sort of magic that made her look good with anything.
She wasn’t as miserable as Lu Li thought either. Lu Li had stood around to look from afar for about a dozen seconds. During this ti, there were at least three players who had tried to co over and talk to her, but unfortunately, they were all deterred by a stern glare.
Lu Li had the impression that she wasn’t as friendly as she appeared to the public.
Just her glance alone would make others feel guilty for disturbing her.
“Why Paladin?” Lu Li couldn’t help but ask. He was curious as to why a girl would want to play a Paladin role. Dawn had designed the Paladin role to be very manly, so it was rare for girls to play this class. Soone like Darkness, a girl who hated n, was a different story.
“Ah, when did you co? You scared , standing behind so quietly like that,” Ms. Su complained as she patted her chest.
“I’m a Thief. It’s normal for to be silent,” Lu Li said as he scanned around their environnt. He was amazed by Ms. Su’s ability to attract n.
At this very mont, there were at least almost a hundred new players that were studying them from different positions.
“To answer your question, it is because I want to join the Night Watchn,” Ms. Su answered, waving the new-player sword in her hands and nearly slicing it into Lu Li’s legs.
It was hard to imagine that she was the type to have weird fantasies.
Lu Li positioned himself slightly away from her, with no further comnt about her dreams. He felt like maybe he should have a word with Rain Like a Wanderer, so that he could help her join the Night Watchn.
Once Ms. Su joined, it’s not hard to imagine how many male players with too much testosterone would flood into Night Town. Even if Ms. Su did nothing besides sleep in the inn of the town, it would still guarantee the safety of the place.
“I’ll teach you how to play the ga first. First, you’re holding the sword wrong; you should hold it like this...” Lu Li had no ti to chit chat with her and imdiately began to teach her.
Unlike the little Gno Hany, Ms. Su had no clue how to battle.
“I’ve learnt to use a sword in real life...” Ms. Su wasn’t impressed; she felt like she didn’t have to start so low.
“Shut up, watch ,” Lu Li said.
Ms. Su opened her mouth, shocked. She had never had anyone say those two words to her before.
In the tutorial session that followed, Ms. Su was finally convinced that Lu Li wasn’t pretending at all. He really had zero interest in her beauty.
“Next, I’ll teach you how to receive quests.”
Lu Li then proceeded to teach her the basics of the ga, and began to explain to her what ga quests were. He thought of this as a quest and did not bother chit chatting or joking around; he just passed his gaming knowledge on to this newbie.
Ms. Su was actually filming the whole ti – she was the spokesperson for the ga.
As such, all of Lu Li’s explanations were recorded and studied by the gaming company. They concluded that these were definitely textbook-style explanations and uploaded them onto the main page, where they beca the tutorial guide for beginners.
