Chapter 719: A Walk

Translator: Halcyon Translations Editor: Halcyon Translations

Previously, Lu Li had used the sa tactics as Dancing Star Dream to exact his revenge.

The only reason why the results were different was because of the classes that they played and the slight difference between their individual strengths.

If Lu Li wasn’t a Thief, he wouldn’t have escaped from Dancing Star Dream’s assault.

Since the situation was different, he couldn’t use the sa tactics as before. Lu Li didn’t even need to count; he knew the maximum capacity for this area.

There were at least 700 Gangnam Royal mbers here.

If Lu Li took 3000 players with him, could he kill Heart of War too?

Heart of War was the guild leader of the Gangnam Royals and wielded a lot power. There wasn’t anyone like Water Fairy or Lu Li behind his back who could influence his decisions.

Killing him would have an even greater impact on the Gangnam Royals.

However, Lu Li wouldn’t drag 3000 players over to kill these 700 players. Seven hundred was an entirely different concept to seventy – trying to fight them would turn into a full-blown war. Moreover, it wasn’t possible for three thousand players to quickly spread themselves; only be a few hundred of them would actually be in combat.

During the battle, Heart of War would have plenty of ti to teleport back to the city.

He wouldn’t stay back to die with everyone else – that’s what a younger, foolish version of himself would do. If these cunning old players demonstrated any kind of resistance, it ant that their reinforcents were already nearby.

As such, Lu Li could only stay hidden and spectate.

He was almost about to give up; he was just here wasting his remaining hours until it was ti to log off. He could take his sister out for a walk, who he spent his most of his ti with after he logged out of the ga.

Ti went by slowly, but Lu Li was very patient.

It wasn’t right to say that he had given up entirely; he was still a little hopeful.

After these players returned to the city, if Heart of War didn’t go first, he would take the risk and interrupt his teleport. Perhaps the Gangnam Royals would lower their guards since it would be log-off ti.

The more relaxed you were, the greater the chance for assassination.

Countless cases from his previous life had proven this to Lu Li.

The night was filled with a kind of wildness and the lights of torches flickered in the wind. Lu Li gradually approached Heart of War and waited in the empty spot behind him.

There were still about a dozen minutes left.

Usually, this was the ti when everyone would be heading back, either to have a drink or to clean up their bags. They would also need to repair their equipnt so that they could log on early the next day and head straight out.

Heart of War had no clue that soone was waiting behind him.

He was still joking around with the girl, trying to impress her. He tried to demonstrate his bravery by battling with the shield and sword against so monsters.

Blood was sent splattering as the monsters were bashed by the shield.

It seed like he had good technique, but in the eyes of professionals like Lu Li, it was rather pathetic. He was a level 40 Paladin who focused on the Defensive Attributes; he couldn’t even fight more than two Swamp Tigers by himself. His usage of skills was also a ss.

On the other hand, the girl was doing alright with her Mage class.

When the monsters barely had any health left, she would correctly use an Ice Lance to end them. Newbies would often continue with Ice Bolt which would deal an unnecessary amount of damage.

"Boss, should we go?" a player ca over and asked.

"Oh, is it ti?" Heart of War laughed, then continued, "See, it’s too much fun leveling with you; I’ve forgotten about ti. Brothers, you’ve all worked hard today. Let’s go."

"Then Boss, you go first," the player said as he stood on the spot.

This wasn’t him trying to get on anyone’s good side; he was just being professional.

"Charmy, we’re not too far away from the camp. Should we walk back? I’m a Paladin; I’d definitely be able to protect you."

Just as Lu Li was about to turn away in disappointnt, there was a sudden turn in events. Heart of War wanted to walk back.

"Walk back? What’s wrong with you? That’s just dangerous and totally pointless," Lu Li thought to himself. He couldn’t figure out the motive behind Heart of War’s actions.

Taking a walk with a girl gave him a chance to protect her; perhaps she would be interested at so point during the process.

"Mmmm, sure."

The female player who was referred to as Charmy packed away her Hearthstone. She didn’t object to his plans; it seed like she was interested in him too.

"Uhm, I’ll go ahead then..."

The player who was waiting for Heart of War to return to the city first didn’t know what to say.

"No need, no need. What ti is this already? There are no more threats. If we run into monsters, do you think Miss Purple Wind Chi and I won’t be able to handle it?" Heart of War asked as he waved his hands. The underlying aning in what he was saying was for the third-wheelers to all take their leave.

"Alright."

The player thought for a bit and didn’t feel like there would be any threat in these last few minutes either.

As long as they stuck on the main roads, the few monsters that popped out wouldn’t be able to threaten a Paladin with full level 40 Gold and Dark Gold equips. They might even help with their relationship too.

Lu Li happily watched as the players from the Gangnam Royals teleported back to the city one by one.

The noisy area quickly beca silent, and only a few smoldering torches were left behind.

Lu Li wasn’t in a rush to act; he waited for Heart of War and Purple Wind Chi to get on the main road first.

"I’m so tired. It would be a lie to say that it isn’t tiring to manage such a big guild, but it feels good to watch as the Gangnam Royals recover each day under my lead," Heart of Wars sighed. Anyone could tell that he was bragging.

Lu Li really wanted to vomit. His guild was originally number one and had dropped to where it was today under his lead. How could he even bring himself to say sothing like this?

Although the Gangnam Royals always had an average reputation, their style was just to solve everything with money. At the very least, they didn’t play dirty tricks like Heart of War.

"You’re a famous gar. I’ve always admired you," Purple Wind Chi laughed softly.

Purple Wind Chi, Purple Wind Chi...

Lu Li looked at the girl who was smiling and was surprised by a thought that flashed across his mind.
