Chapter 1860: Advancing in the Early Rounds
Until they reached level 68, they had no way to farm the next Instance Dungeon for now.
What was more, the professional league had already begun its preliminary rounds. No matter how much they would think they might not be selected, it didn’t an that they could just be lax about it.
At the mont, the professional league was still the largest competition. After going through the various channels of the gaming association, this ti’s league was formally integrated as an international competition. This also ant that the end of the competition would include fighting it out for the world championship.
At the mont, the only place that they could play with overseas players was Alterac Valley battlefield. The chance of facing an overseas player was about 1 in 5.
Lu Li hadn’t fought on the battlefield for a long ti. He didn’t even understand the power of overseas players.
However, he could cross that bridge when he ca to it. He didn’t have to particularly worry about it.
If it was a competition like the Shadow Cup or the Donghua Cup, a championship team like Ruling Sword wouldn’t even have to participate in the preliminaries. Such a super club would be promoted in right away.
The league wasn’t the sa. Everyone was treated in the sa way.
Because of this, in the first match, Ruling Sword faced a team from the internet bar next to the school. When Lu Li saw this information, he didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
With five players, three of them being level 62, one being level 64 and another being level 65, the levels were all uneven. It looked like they were just trying to fill up the numbers.
This team that was facing them definitely could only cry.
It had been a difficult task to scrape everyone together, and in the 1st round, they were matched up against one of the top teams. They protested against the league match officials, but this was to no avail. Shortly after, they posted on the ssage boards that their team was imdiately splitting up.
This short-lived team beca one of the most pitiful teams in the professional league.
Ruling Sword defeated their opponent, and so successfully achieved victory in their first match.
After the first league match, there was a Stronghold battle, which would mark the fifteenth Stronghold wars. Like before, there weren’t any new Strongholds appearing this ti. Everyone was focused on fighting for the Strongholds that existed.
With the frightening Fel Reaver, no one dared to ddle with Ruling Sword’s system. However, Ruling Sword already had their fair share of Strongholds, so Lu Li wasn’t powerful enough to snatch more away. This ti, they were simply going to watch the action co to them.
Glory Capital went through so struggles, but in the end, they didn’t lose a single Stronghold.
They also completed their swapping maneuver. Stranglethorn Vale went under the na of Eternal Kingdom, while the second Stronghold of the Hillsbrad Foothills went to Gale Legion.
However, anyone could feel that Glory Capital had already begun to be tired out.
They didn’t have many Infernals left, and their Barrenlands were almost snatched away. The attacking ones were Drizzle Court. Water Fairy seed to harbor bitter resentnt, still rembering the ti when she first went into the Outland and Glory Capital had tried to ‘capture a beauty’.
This ti, Water Fairy directly sent a Fel Reaver to the walls of the Barrenlands.
This was the first ti a decisive battle took place between an Infernal and a Fel Reaver in front of the players. This amazing battle completely overshadowed the developnts of the other Stronghold battles.
Fortunately, the Barrenlands were Glory Capital’s main camp. The Infernal was brought along with Sorrowless. All eight Infernals were required to block the Fel Reaver’s devastation and defend the Instance Dungeon.
Despite this, Glory Capital’s people had been slaughtered multiple tis.
Even Sorrowless died a few tis.
When Lu Li saw this, his heart felt cold. In an instant, he understood why such amazing n would be afraid of their wives.
You really couldn’t offend won.
This ti, Blood Red War Flag took Desolace from Seventh Heaven. Although both sides fought intensely, according to so reliable sources, they had made so prior agreents before the battle.
Actually, Azure Guard prevailing against Stellar Union to beca the new masters of Arathi Highlights
was the genuinely intense battle.
Majin Temple and Gods of Dusk joined together to attack Wings of Dawn, continuing to maintain their power over the Thousand Needles Stronghold. Unforgettable Maple led his mages to summon a group of Wind Snakes, assembling them so that they were a united bolt of lightning. In an instant, they one-shot all the enemies on the field, reversing the precarious situation there.
There was no doubt that Majin Temple had found a resource point for these sorts of scrolls that could summon so many Wind Snakes.
At the mont, all the top clubs in the ga were frantically looking for these sorts of things. It didn’t matter how powerful they were. As long as they had enough, they could serve an important purpose at key monts. After all, even if it was a group of boars, they could still trample so dying opponents.
In this Stronghold battle, there was a cataclysmic announcent for next month’s Stronghold wars.
There was no doubt that there would be a massive change in Stronghold battles.
If Lu Li rembered correctly, the main thing was still increasing the difficulty of defending Strongholds, so that there would never be one dominator in the Stronghold battles.
There were still two or three remaining battles before next month, so they didn’t have to worry for now. This was also the reason Lu Li didn’t go to snatch up other Strongholds, because they would not be able to hold onto them.
By the ti the preliminary matches were over, Ruling Sword had fought a total of seven rounds. Winning all of them easily, they moved ahead.
Apparently, in the preliminary matches, the number of teams from just the Chinese region who signed up totaled over 300,000. The preliminary matches eliminated most of them just like that. In the end, there were about 50,000 teams who entered into the first matches. Of these 50,000 teams, 10 000 of them entered into the interdiate round.
After that, they fought it out to be placed in the final 100, the final 16, and so on.
After entering into the next matches, the teams they t with were relatively professional. It was hard to find a team that had major level differences. There were so teams that didn’t even have any level 65 players.
Lu Li was already level 66, and it would not be long before he reached level 68.
When the players reached level 65, they wore level 65 equipnt.
In the matches this ti, they didn’t encounter any particularly rich players. Even so, there were so dirt-poor clubs that visited Lu Li, hoping that he could be lenient with them. The price they offered didn’t move Lu Li, and so he firmly declined their offers.
In fact, Judgent Spear also successfully progressed to the next stage.
There was one particular team they fought in the preliminaries, and in the second match of the first round, they t again.
This was fate destined by heaven. Both teams almost fell into tears on the battlefield.
In order to get Judgent Spear to throw the ga, in the preliminaries, they gave them $10 million right away. The second ti they faced, they offered $20 million. Later, they made a deal, that if they t in the future, money wouldn’t be an issue.
Lu Li had no idea when it ca to these sches of rich people.
But who would reject soone that had money? Both tis when they were took the money, they only did so after Lu Li approved.
Judgent Spear was much weaker than Ruling Sword. All of the competing players were new people from the novice training camp, but they were much better than most of the other clubs in the early rounds. Losing a couple matches wasn’t too big of a deal.
By April, the early rounds had finished. Both Ruling Sword and Judgent Spear entered into the next round, and almost everyone had reached level 68.
