Chapter 1687: Seeing the Local Tycoons Again

Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales

Lu Li would never beco that kind of person.

However, this didn’t prevent him from admiring such a person. If the opportunity arose, and it wouldn’t affect him too greatly, he wouldn’t helping that person out.

What else could this Mage possibly do anyway?

“Looks like you won’t be able to do this. You must be quite capable, and you must not forget that we outnumber you,” the leader had no choice but to say. After all, he couldn’t kneel before Lu Li to beg for rcy.

Instead, he threatened Lu Li and ssaged his accomplices at the sa ti.

These players had taken over the Scarlet Monastery, and obviously didn’t only have a few Mages. There were quite a few others, but they were either in Instance Dungeons or oppressing other weak players.

As a result, Lu Li soon found that he was being surrounded by players sneaking around. He imdiately knew that he needed to do sothing.

Yet, the people surrounding Lu Li were acting overconfidently.

His opponent’s plan was to keep stalling Lu Li, but Lu Li saw through that. He imdiately vanished and reappeared behind his opponent before casting Cheap Shot, Backstab and Backhand Backstab. He managed to defeat his opponent with one rotation of skills.

This player might have been the brains of the group, but his strength was just average.

From start to finish, he didn’t survive Lu Li’s attacks for longer than half a second. When he saw Lu Li previously, he saw that he managed to kill two players quite quickly. He thought that Lu Li was powerful, but he still underestimated the extent of Lu Li’s strength. Now that he had experienced it himself, he ca to understand what it ant to feel completely helpless.

Originally, he had thought that it would be easier after finding so people to help him.

But now, he was suddenly unsure.

Taking out the leader first made sense. Without him, the rest felt agitated and began their counterattack.

The blue-robed Mage Soulhun who was nice to everyone had regenerated almost all of his HP while the boss and Lu Li were talking.

However, this was when the action began.

Lu Li found that this Mages’ technique was above average, albeit a little unrefined. It seed like he had just started playing recently, but how did he get to level 60 and acquire such a good set of equipnt?

“Let into the Instance Dungeon group!” Lu Li shouted as he picked up the equipnt that the Mage dropped after killing him.

There were more and more people gathering outside. He still had a few more Mages to get through and was almost stopped by their crowd control. Lu Li felt like he was being bitten to death by ants.

However, once he entered the Instance Dungeon, they wouldn’t able to reach him anymore.

Under normal circumstances, an Instance Dungeon could be split into a number of different Instances. The people within the sa Instance Dungeon had to be in the sa team.

There were five people in this team – the party leader, Lu Li and three other normal players.

“What should we do?” Soulhun asked.

“You tell .”

Lu Li didn’t really mind. If he wanted to, he could take over and just call thousands of players over to clear out the Scarlet Monastery.

Fortunately, Lu Li wasn’t soone looking for fa. He felt that it wasn’t necessary for him to deal with these insignificant players.

“Their boss has been revived. We can rush over and lead them away so you can leave,” soone in the team suddenly spoke up. It was one of the three players that the blue-robed Mage had brought in.

“No, you guys can go first. Let’s avoid attracting attention. Tomorrow, I will take you to farm monsters in the wild. Then, we can go to Zul’Farrak,” the blue-robed Mage interjected, stopping them from taking that risk.

“Excuse ,” Lu Li interrupted them. “Are you two from the Beijing Film Academy or the Central Drama Academy? Are you guys practicing your acting?”

Soulhun: ...

The three players: ...

“Ahem, do you have any other suggestions? We aren’t from a film school, but we do have loyalty and are willing to die together...” one of the players responded.

“Okay, alright, just tell where the leader is,” Lu Li said.

“At the pillar on the left side of the Instance Dungeon door. Let ask again. Do you want to sneak ahead? I am a Thief and they haven’t noticed yet.”

A Thief’s Stealth was affected by a number of factors.

Common sense would dictate that a level 30 player had no chance of being hidden from level 60 players. However, since the two sides were far enough and there were obstacles in the way, he had not yet been found.

“Stop bluffing. You’re just looking for a place to hide,” Lu Li said, seeing right through these people’s plans.

He recalled the terrain of the Instance Dungeon door and worked out the location of the Thief. He then stepped out of the Instance Dungeon and entered Stealth at the sa ti.

The mont Lu Li ca out of the Instance Dungeon, he was a visible figure, but he moved quickly so no one noticed that he had co out.

Most people didn’t think that he would dare to co out at this ti since there were so many people waiting for him.

Lu Li went straight to the pillar that the little Thief was talking about. The leader was currently sitting down and eating so bread to regenerate his HP. When a player was revived in Dawn, they would only revive with a small amount of HP. They had to use food or potions to regenerate the remaining lost HP.

Not to ntion, he was also a Mage, so he needed to regenerate his Mana as well.

Lu Li couldn’t be bothered to actually gain the leader’s attention.

He just carefully snuck behind him, flashed his dagger and killed him.

Whether this player was at half HP or full HP made no difference to Lu Li because he was such a weak Mage with so little protection.

Once again, the leader was humiliated as he turned into a corpse.

However, Lu Li had now been discovered and soon experienced a barrage of attacks. There were area of effect skills being flung everywhere. It didn’t matter that Gale Steps provided one second of invulnerability. Even if he had 10 seconds of Invulnerability, it wouldn’t be enough ti to run away safely.

Fortunately, Lu Li did not intend to run out of range.

He just needed to escape back into the Instance Dungeon.

Once he was back in the Instance Dungeon, he didn’t need to fear the people outside as it provided him with a natural safe haven.

“Wow, you’re strong,” Soulhun comnted in admiration. Although he was a kind old man, even he wanted to get so revenge after being killed by these bullies for no reason.

Lu Li had just helped avenge him.

“So, you must be new to this ga.”

Lu Li took advantage of the fact that the leader was being revived to satisfy his curiosity.

“Yeah, I just started playing this ga 10 days ago. I used to play Shadow Realm,” the blue-robed Mage responded as he and Lu Li sat together at the entrance of the Instance Dungeon. There was no point in hiding this kind of information.

“But you managed to reach level 60 in 10 days, and you have a Transmog set?” Lu Li couldn’t believe it.

Was this person like Remnant Dream or Hachi Chan? His luck or Charisma had to be particularly high to have all this equipnt on his body.

“Well, I just t a friend when I entered the ga. He levelled all the way to level 60. I then bought so equipnt in the Exchange Hall to assemble a set...”

He was a tycoon!

This man in front of Lu Li who was so helpless was actually soone like Water Fairy. To him, acquiring all that equipnt must have been no issue at all.

If he had purchased that Transmog Set, it must have cost at least tens of millions of dollars.

There were even several pieces of Epic equipnt that Lu Li recognised.

“Tycoon bro, what kind of business do you do in real life?” Lu Li asked curiously. Other than Water Fairy, Lu Li didn’t really have much contact with rich people.

“I have tried venturing into business in the past, but I have always failed,” the blue-robed Mage said sheepishly.

“Then how did you buy so many pieces of exquisite equipnt?” Lu Li questioned.

“After my businesses failed, I had no choice but to listen to my dad and inherit his business,” Soulhun answered sadly.

“Hey...” Lu Li was about to vomit blood.

He felt like he had not been mistaken; this person was a natural drama queen.
