Chapter 337: Used Up

After being reminded by the Obisidian Beetle, Zhang Mu deliberately observed the wing area on the Pegasus, giving it a slight shake.

Is it trying to get up?

Zhang Mu believed in Hachikuju’s experience and the Obsidian Beetle’s judgnt, but he still tried this way.

Because he wanted to find out how much danger this Pegasus could pose to him, in order to roughly assess the level of threat it posed.

Now that he knew, Zhang Mu’s intuition told him that this Pegasus was not to be ssed with.

In the end, Zhang Mu still didn’t take that step.

Hachikuju, who was anxious on the side, finally let go of his worry. He regretted deeply just now, as he knew he couldn’t stop the King of Warhorses by himself.

That day, after Zhang Mu left, the horse didn’t get up, staying in its original position with its back towards Zhang Mu and the others.

“Zhang Mu, you are so brave! If you had taken that step just now, I would have run away.”

Zhang Mu knew Hachikuju was just joking, so he smiled and replied, “Well, let’s see who can run faster, old buddy.”

“No, no, no. The King of Warhorses is different from regular mutant beasts. Its intelligence may surpass ours. As long as I don’t show any hostility towards it, it will cause you trouble in the future. Running faster won’t help.”

That was a harsh truth. Zhang Mu gave him a helpless look. Actually, even if he fought the King of Warhorses, he had a way to escape with Hachikuju and Yuan Rui unhard.

However, if they fought, the trouble during the taming process would be too much. It wasn’t necessary. Sensing the level of threat from it was enough.

Suddenly, a firework exploded far away from a watchtower, catching the attention of Zhang Mu and the others.

“It looks like the three City Masters are here and don’t want to wait, they’re urging us to go back. Can’t believe we were walking so slowly just now, and so quickly an hour has passed.”

Hachikuju looked at Zhang Mu with so emotions and said, “Bro, you’ve seen the King of Warhorses too. It’s ti for us to go back. Su Rui may not mind, but we should still show face to the other two City Masters.”

Zhang Mu nodded slightly and said, “Okay, let’s pick up the pace so the City Masters don’t get impatient.”

Hachikuju looked at Zhang Mu with so confusion, “So should we start running?”

“Running for what?”

Obsidian Beetle suddenly felt uneasy, but before it could react, Zhang Mu took it out from his pocket and enlarged its size.

“Oh, I forgot that you, Zhang Mu, have this flying mutant insect.” Hachikuju envied the two who were already sitting on the back of Obsidian Beetle, as Red Blood couldn’t fly like the King of Warhorses.

“Alright, you two hurry back, I’ll follow shortly.”

Zhang Mu cheekily smiled and said, “I say, Brother Hachikuju, let’s fly, you run on the ground. Otherwise, when will you arrive? You’ll still end up waiting, won’t you?”

“What do you an, Zhang Mu? Sitting two people on the back of this big beetle is almost impossible. Not to ntion whether it can carry us, there isn’t even enough space to sit.”

Hachikuju carefully examined the seating area on the back of the Obsidian Beetle, looking puzzled as she complained to Zhang Mu.

Zhang Mu stared at Hachikuju’s huge axe and slowly said, “Buddy, my Obsidian Beetle’s claws can still carry one person, right?”

To save ti, Hachikuju reluctantly agreed, not expecting the two usually slow people to arrive so quickly today.

The Obsidian Beetle’s claws firmly gripped Hachikuju’s huge axe, with Hachikuju’s upper body perched on top of the axe.

With everything ready, its wings spread open, the wind elent gathered behind the wings, propelling it forward like an accelerating cannonball.

Despite carrying the weight of three people, the wind speed had reached a point where Zhang Mu had to open his ntal shield to stabilize himself and Yuan Rui.

Flying low to accommodate Hachikuju hanging below, Zhang Mu couldn’t shield her with his ntal shield. They navigated through dense wild grass, resulting in his appearance looking rather grim.

When they reached a point one kiloter away from the watchtower, Zhang Mu and the others disembarked from the Obsidian Beetle and slowly walked back the way they ca.

Hachikuju’s face looked a bit dirty, Zhang Mu and Yuan Rui saw it and tried hard not to laugh.

Hachikuju, all ssy, finally tidied up the grass on his body quietly.

Zhang Mu paused for a mont and advised, “Hey buddy, even though you look a bit rough, it only took you an hour to get here, now it’s just a three-minute walk, right?”

Hearing this, Hachikuju’s face relaxed a bit, nodded, and then led Zhang Mu and them towards the watchtower.

Behind the watchtower, there were three people sitting on chairs. The guy who welcod Zhang Mu and them earlier was now busy serving tea, looking very happy when he saw Hachikuju and them returning. He said, “City Lord Hachikuju, you and your friends are back! Just in ti, the other three City Masters have all arrived.”

Zhang Mu walked in and finally saw the faces of the three people sitting.

Su Rui was sipping tea delicately, not even looking at Hachikuju when he ca in. And sitting on Su Rui’s left side was a dark-faced, bearded man, holding a jug of wine, who stood up to greet Hachikuju as soon as he entered the pavilion.

The last person was actually an old man with silver hair, remaining calm and silent without speaking.

“Hey Hachikuju, is he your friend? Where did you find this country rich guy? Did you not explain the King of Warhorses situation to him? If you cheat him, he will co looking for you, and we won’t help you.”

The stern-looking man and Hachikuju didn’t seem to get along at first, but they beca friendly after he set down his jug of wine and started chatting with her.

“It’s okay, I already talked to him. Am I the kind of person who would deceive my friends?” said Hachikuju.

The grumpy man with a long beard did not appreciate Hachikuju’s apology. He complained, “I still rember soone stole a jug of fine wine from last ti. I couldn’t even bear to drink it myself, but you tricked into losing it.”

Hachikuju blushed rarely and quickly changed the subject by introducing Zhang Mu. She said, “This is Qizilbash, the City Master of Hangjin Banner’s sub-city.”

“Hello, Zhang Mu.”

Zhang Mu didn’t mind the wine stain on Qizilbash’s hand, and reached out his hand in greeting.

Just as Hachikuju was about to introduce the Sub City Lord, the old man interrupted, “The old man here is the Sub City Lord of Wushen Banner. Let’s not waste ti, there’s sothing important in the city.”

The sound of three golden silkworms chirping undoubtedly related to the King of Warhorses.

“So now, bring out twenty thousand elental crystals, and we will protect and ta the King of Warhorses for you.”

When the story got to this part, everyone’s attention focused on Zhang Mu, even Su Rui, who had been looking down, turned to look at Zhang Mu.

“Sure.”

Zhang Mu showed his Era rchant Ring on his right hand, and the other three people’s eyes all gathered on his hand.

“I didn’t expect you to be an Era rchant too.”

Zhang Mu was about to reply, but he suddenly fell silent.

He suddenly realized that when he searched through the entire Era rchant Ring, he could only find less than four-digit elental crystals.

Oh no, the elental crystals had already run out!
