Chapter 187: Overwhelming Strength

Slowly erging from the shadows, Obsidian Beetle flew over to Zhang Mu’s shoulder as there were no more second-rank mutant beasts around. With no need to be cautious anymore, they both gazed at the colorful shield.

“Tell , what exactly is that colorful shield for defense,” Zhang Mu asked slowly without looking at Obsidian Beetle on his shoulder.

Even Obsidian Beetle was puzzled and couldn’t give Zhang Mu an answer. After thinking for a while, it replied, “I’m not too sure either, but my intuition tells to stay away. The dangerous aura it gives off is too strong.”

Zhang Mu nodded silently. Although he didn’t possess the sharp intuition like Obsidian Beetle, the fact that the old white fox confidently left the letter gourd here showed his absolute trust in sothing.

But why did the old white fox leave?

A thrilling possibility flickered through Zhang Mu’s mind – Long Qi entered the city but got intercepted on the way. As the white fox voluntarily moved away from the battlefield, it ant that it had enough ti to react, regardless of the outco.

However, little did Zhang Mu know that while Long Qi arrived, another evolver with formidable strength had already set eyes on its treasured Bottle Gourd that had been guarded for so long.

How long can Long Qi hold on for?

Zhang Mu only heard from Obsidian Beetle about the old white fox, and could only tell that Obsidian Beetle was very afraid of it. Zhang Mu wasn’t sure about its real strength. However, Zhang Mu also knew that Long Qi’s strength was not that simple.

So, let them fight.

The fight between the two tigers gave Zhang Mu an opportunity, but he was scratching his head trying to figure out how to break through the mysterious rainbow barrier.

As ti passed by, the sound of energy blasts faded gradually. Zhang Mu felt a tightness in his heart – was he already at a disadvantage?

We need to act quickly.

Zhang Mu slapped his head and said, “Doesn’t matter what it is, if we don’t try we won’t figure it out. It’s confusing.”

With a pat on the mutated wolfhound’s back, Zhang Mu jumped forward and landed in front of dozens of mutated beasts.

That’s right, without hiding anything, Zhang Mu and the wolfhound landed in front of them twenty ters away.

All the mutant beasts froze instantly, staring at each other wide-eyed.

When did this person co in? How dare they dare to provoke us on their own initiative when they see us?

Zhang Mu looked at this group of mutant beasts whose aura was nearing second-rank, and couldn’t help but smile.

It seems that in the whole Jin Zhong City, there is really only that one second-rank mutant beast, the white fox. Although it thinks that the group of mutant beasts under its command, considered to be the peak with the most hope of advancing to second-rank, is enough to ensure its safety.

However, the current Zhang Mu, including the Obsidian Beetle, has a strength equivalent to two second-rank beings.

Although montarily subdued by Zhang Mu’s actions, they did not sense any aura from this human in front of them. And the mutated wolfhound under him could only compare to one of them at best. Moreover, this is the task given to them by the king.

The king’s orders are unquestionable!

The king’s authority is inviolable!

Feeling that they saw through the truth of Zhang Mu, imdiately three red fox-like mutant beasts were separated out, growled low, and flas ignited on their bodies as they charged towards Zhang Mu.

Can the body attach flas?

Zhang Mu didn’t have ti to deal with them. He didn’t have the interest to appreciate these basic abilities, beauty, or novelty at all.

He urged the mutated wolfhound to charge straight ahead, treating the three fiery red lights coming towards him as if they were nothing.

The mutated wolfhound and Zhang Mu were cooperating seamlessly. It naturally knew what he wanted to do, gathering the power of the earth elent in its limbs. With a sudden glare, a continuous stream of power from the earth gathered at the mutated wolfhound’s feet.

Upon contact with the ground, the mutated wolfhound’s speed rivaled that of a wind-attribute mutated beast of the sa level, suddenly increasing to its peak.

In the mont when Zhang Mu and the three fire foxes were in intersecting positions, Zhang Mu’s ntal shield suddenly opened. The Obsidian dagger hidden in his arms, within the range where his ntal power had the most control, unleashed its power to the limit.

The Obsidian dagger appeared like a lightning bolt in front of the fire foxes’ throats. Before they could press the fire elent attached to their bodies onto Zhang Mu, blood splattered.

In a second, a deep and deadly line appeared at the throats of the three fire foxes. Under Zhang Mu’s urging, the additional impact of the Obsidian dagger reached an incredible level.

Because the speed was simply too fast, the heads of the three mutated fire foxes almost fell at the sa ti, while their bodies, still running due to inertia, subsequently tumbled to the ground.

The flas on them went out the mont they lost their vitality.

Zhang Mu swiftly flung the Obsidian Beetle out of his sleeve before the mutant beasts could attack instinctively, causing it to transform back to its normal form with a powerful pressure that suppressed the dozens of mutant beasts in the area.

Although they didn’t know why the Obsidian Beetle was second-rank and feared its power, they knew it wasn’t their king. Even though the hierarchy among mutant beasts was strict, their own king was also second-rank. Therefore, they were only montarily intimidated by the Obsidian Beetle before launching their energy attacks again.

However, that one second was enough for Zhang Mu, who had already rushed towards them.

He raised his left arm, and the Blood Lotus instantly released all its vine-like body, enveloping nearly a third of the mutant beasts before fiercely retracting.

anwhile, the Obsidian Beetle transford back while spreading its wings, creating two whirlwinds that ford a massive wind blade. It swiftly cut down the middle third, which was around a dozen mutant beasts, exceeding the speed at which they condensed energy.

Zhang Mu didn’t just stand by, as he had to make every second count.

He imdiately covered the mutated wolfhound’s entire body with a ntal shield and plunged into the remaining group of mutant beasts. The powerful repelling nature of the ntal shield turned all hastily ford attacks into nothing.

However, as Zhang Mu approached within a ter of them, the reaping of souls began. The Obsidian dagger, driven by his ntal force and sharp material, took away life after life.

After three seconds, the group of mutated creatures guarding the rainbow light shield were all wiped out!
