Outside the door, Christopher Carter was frantically pressing the doorbell and calling.

However, Ethan Grant simply wouldn’t answer, pretending to be deaf.

"Mr. Grant, please don’t be angry, don’t be angry. I’m knocking at your ho door, but Mr. Grant seems to be out. I will definitely get in contact with you; don’t be impulsive, don’t be impulsive."

"Mr. Grant, Ethan is your son. What father truly gets angry at his son? You can’t do this."

"The board won’t agree either." Christopher was getting desperate, almost swearing that Arthur Grant was truly worthless.

Arthur clearly intended to use shares and the presidential position to threaten Ethan, demanding that Ethan arrive at the company conference room within half an hour, or else he’d remove him from his position with the board’s backing.

"Mr. Grant!" Christopher hung up the phone, nearly in tears.

Now was not the ti, and nobody knew what Ethan was thinking, suddenly announcing his relationship on Weibo.

Unable to reach Ethan by phone, Christopher had no choice but to call Yvette Aston.

...

On this side, Yvette was feeling anxious and wanted to answer the phone when she heard it ringing.

"So noisy." Ethan deliberately held Yvette back, preventing her from answering it.

Yvette was at a loss with Ethan. "Mr. Grant...it’s Christopher Carter; what if he has sothing urgent?"

"What urgent matter could he have? None more urgent than mine." Ethan pulled Yvette back, holding her like an octopus. "Sleep."

"Mr. Grant..." Yvette’s voice was a bit hoarse.

"From tomorrow on, don’t call Mr. Grant anymore," Ethan joked.

Today he angered Arthur, certainly heading towards being removed from his presidential position, so he let Yvette get used to it in advance.

"Mr. Grant..." Yvette looked at Ethan in a panic. "Let’s go to the company first and delay things a bit, okay?"

"Don’t worry about it." Ethan was firm in his attitude.

Yvette looked at Ethan, her heart inexplicably aching.

How desperate must Ethan be because of that father to choose confrontation so decisively?

Yvette didn’t ask further; she was anxious because she didn’t know if Ethan had planned anything or had a way out.

"Ding." Yvette’s phone vibrated, it was a ssage.

Extending her hand to grab the phone and glance at it, Yvette took a deep breath.

It was a termination notice from the company.

Clearly, Arthur was having the HR departnt fire her as a warning to Ethan.

"The company sent a termination ssage," Yvette said softly.

Ethan slowly opened his eyes, his gaze deep.

"Mr. Grant, why don’t you go back to the company with Christopher Carter?" Yvette sighed, feeling uncertain.

Getting up from bed, Yvette prepared a new suit and tie for Ethan.

"Unreasonable employee termination will have consequences. Apply for labor arbitration, sue them," Ethan leaned against the headboard, smiling as he spoke.

The tone suggested that Grant Group had nothing to do with him anymore.

"I will apply for labor arbitration. So Mr. Grant...can you go to the company now?" Yvette sighed, who would have thought Ethan would need urging to go to the company privately. "It’s really a pity if you compromise now."

Yvette knew that Ethan had certainly endured a lot for many years, from his mother’s death until now.

How could he give up because of this?

Especially...he shouldn’t give up what inherently belongs to him because of her.

"What are you calling ?" Ethan muttered.

Retrieving the suit from the wardrobe, Yvette’s fingers paused. "Ethan..."

"Don’t want to hear this title." Ethan played with the ring on his finger.

Intentionally reminding Yvette.

Yvette’s face flushed red but refused to call.

"Then I won’t go, no motivation." Ethan fiddled with the ring, speaking resentfully. "Wearing a ring without a wife is so pitiful."

Yvette’s heart raced; at this mont, how could he remain so calm?

If really kicked out of the company, what would he do?

"Hu...sband." Yvette bit her lip, her voice as low as a mosquito’s.

Ethan’s fingers stiffened slightly, sitting up straight. "Didn’t hear."

Outside, it was Christopher’s voice hoarsely shouting.

If one didn’t know, they’d think soone outside was slaughtering pigs.

"Mr. Grant! Mr. Grant, co out..."

"..."

Yvette wanted to laugh, yet felt sorry for Christopher.

She could only coax Ethan first. "Hu, sband."

"Does this title burn your mouth?" Ethan raised his eyebrow and pulled Yvette closer, holding her tightly. "Didn’t hear clearly."

"Husband..." Yvette braced herself to call.

Yet in truth, calling this title wasn’t as awkward as imagined, even with a little... flutter.

Ethan tightened his embrace around Yvette, lowering his head to kiss her forehead. "Marriage should have been sacred, but those scumbags ruined the rules..."

His gaze darkened, and Ethan got up to switch into a suit, tidying up his cuffs.

To put Yvette at ease, he could only first et Arthur and the Bell Family.

"Don’t be impulsive." Yvette reminded Ethan. "Just stabilize Arthur temporarily, even if it’s to step down from the presidency, it doesn’t matter; you can feign illness."

Ethan looked at Yvette, raising the corners of his mouth. "You underestimate Arthur’s ruthlessness."

"That doesn’t matter..." Yvette clenched her hands tightly. "I have a plan."

"Hmm?" Ethan raised his eyebrow, curious about what plan Yvette had.

"You go first, you’ll know once you’re there." Yvette urged Ethan to the company.

Ethan chuckled, squeezed Yvette’s chin, and kissed her. "Alright."

He was curious about what surprise his young wife had prepared for him.

Escorting Ethan out of the house, Yvette stood at the door in silence for a long ti.

Finally, she gathered courage and called Harrison Sterling.

"Mr. Sterling..."

...

Sterling Group, ridia branch eting room.

Glancing at the phone screen, Harrison Sterling raised his hand, indicating a pause in the eting.

Standing with his phone, Harrison moved aside to take the call.

Employees looked at each other in confusion; President Sterling never took calls during etings.

"Finally willing to call , what? Ethan is pushed to the brink?" Harrison asked with a smile.

"Arthur has already convened a board eting." Yvette spoke softly.

"Do you want to help Ethan?" Harrison asked.

"It’s mutually beneficial," Yvette reminded Harrison, not a one-sided favor, not to make herself seem great.

Harrison raised an eyebrow, listening to Yvette with interest.

"Though the Sterling Family is prominent and holds significant standing in the business circle, we are still of Chinese origin, with our core overseas. Over the years, the Sterling Family has been aiming to open up the ridia market and establish a firm foothold, haven’t we?"

Yvette questioned Harrison.

Harrison chuckled lightly, not speaking.

"Marriage alliance is a mutually beneficial arrangent," Yvette continued.

"Ethan agreed to marry Paige Fulton?" Harrison asked.

Yvette was correct; Harrison had personal motives; he wasn’t going to help Ethan freely just for Yvette, and the Sterling Family had long intended to establish a firm stance in the ridia market.

Ethan was clearly the best choice.

"Not Paige Fulton." Yvette clenched her hands. "It’s the actual Sterling heiress."

Yvette took a deep breath.

Harrison smiled. "Yvette, you’re quite skilled at stalling for ti; because I promised you a year’s ti, you’re using this to have help Ethan stall for a year..."

"Do you think, with Ethan’s capabilities, he can completely secure Grant Group in a year?" Harrison asked again.

"A year is enough." Yvette bit her lip. "He’s not alone."

She would help him.
