Stephen Sinclair was almost in tears, trembling as he looked at Ethan Grant. "Uncle..."
"Co here," Ethan’s voice was low.
Yvette Aston held Sumrs, nervously watching Ethan Grant.
Wasn’t he overreacting? He wouldn’t actually eat the kid, right?
Stephen Sinclair burst into tears out of fright.
"Apologize!" Ethan lifted Stephen and placed him in front of Sumrs.
Stephen looked like a little girl, chubby like a small pig before he went to kindergarten. Although he wasn’t slim now, he looked quite delicate.
"I-I’m sorry..." Stephen was scared of Ethan and always listened to him, hiccuping as he cried.
Sumrs snorted, refusing to forgive and hid in Yvette’s arms.
Stephen cried even more desperately.
"Keep apologizing until Sumrs forgives you," Ethan held Stephen off the ground, clearly not planning to let him touch the floor.
Stephen’s little suspenders were grabbed by Ethan, making him look as if he was stuffed in a bag, quite comical.
Yvette was amused and softly spoke, "Mr. Grant... he’s still a child, don’t scare him."
Stephen nodded vigorously, "Uncle, I’m still a child..."
"If you don’t punish a child when they make mistakes, it will be too late when sothing happens later," Ethan said sternly and gave Stephen a slight shake, "Apologize!"
Today, even if Chelsea Grant ca, he had to make Stephen rember.
"Sumrs, I know I was wrong," Stephen cried, pleading.
Sumrs glanced back at Stephen, softening a bit.
Stephen’s snot was bubbling.
But Stephen had bullied him many tis, and Sumrs didn’t want to forgive.
"Where did you go wrong?" Ethan asked.
Stephen looked puzzled, his snot still bubbling.
He had no idea what he did wrong.
Mom said Sumrs’ mom was a thief, so he thought Sumrs was also a thief.
Mom said Sumrs was a wild child without a dad, so he said Sumrs was a wild child without a dad. "But, mom said it..."
Could it be that mom was also wrong?
"You’re not a toddler anymore, you should have the ability to discern right from wrong. Is everything your mom says always correct?" Ethan lectured with a frown, disliking Stephen’s bubbly nose due to his cleanliness issues.
Instinctively, he held Stephen further away.
His arm strength was truly impressive, effortlessly holding Stephen up, making him reflect on his actions.
Stephen lowered his head, speaking timidly, "Mom says Sumrs is a wild child without a dad..."
"Didn’t hear him call dad?" Ethan’s face darkened.
Stephen started crying again, "Uncle, I’m sorry."
"Apologize to Sumrs."
Placing Stephen in front of Sumrs, Ethan spoke warningly.
"Sumrs... do you forgive ? I won’t bully you anymore," Stephen said in his childish voice.
"If you bully again, I’ll hit you," Sumrs warned Stephen in advance.
If there’s a next ti, he’ll act.
Michelle Lockwood sister said, when you can fight, don’t argue with them.
"No, you hit really painfully," Stephen was about to cry again.
"If you cry again, I’ll hit you," Sumrs threatened Stephen.
Stephen didn’t dare to cry.
"Stephen!" Over there, Chelsea ca to pick up her son and seeing Ethan there made her heart jump to her throat, "Bro..."
Stephen fearfully glanced at Ethan, not daring to approach his mom.
"If you can’t educate him properly, don’t misguide him," Ethan advised Chelsea with a frown.
Chelsea hung her head, not daring to argue with Ethan.
"Bro, you want to bring Yvette and that little wild child..." Chelsea gasped, feeling the chill on her back, "Bring them back to the Grant Family?"
"Do you have any objections?" Ethan coldly retorted.
"No... no objections." Chelsea replied with a somber face in a small voice, waiting until Ethan took Sumrs and Yvette into the car before she turned to scold Stephen harshly, "Why are you so much like your dad, so useless?"
Stephen lowered his head timidly and spoke softly, "Mom, you were wrong, Sumrs isn’t a wild child without a dad, he has a dad. Uncle said he’s Sumrs’ dad."
"What do you know? You believe an outsider over your mom?" Chelsea was a bit irritated, obviously having too many troubling things to deal with.
"Uncle isn’t an outsider..." Stephen muttered softly.
Though he feared his uncle, he knew his uncle was also a mber of the Grant Family, not an outsider.
"What do you know! He’s an outsider! Only Jayden Grant is your real uncle, he won’t be good to you, he looks down on you, just because of your useless and unambitious dad, so he looks down on us!" Chelsea lost her cool, dragging Stephen into the car.
She covered her forehead with a hand, clearly unstable. "Call your dad, tell him you’re sick."
All these years, she desperately tried to use her child to tie Chase Sinclair down.
But once or twice... or three tis, Chase Sinclair just doesn’t care about anything now.
Doesn’t care about her, doesn’t care about the child.
When Chase Sinclair was frustrated outside, he’d co ho to vent on her and the child.
Divorce wasn’t an option, so he resorted to a cold war.
Chelsea was about to go insane because of Chase Sinclair.
"Mom... why do you always want to lie?" Stephen looked fearfully at Chelsea.
"Who asked you to lie! What’s wrong with lying? Can’t you be a little ambitious, why are you so useless, what’s wrong with saying you’re sick! Having your dad co ho and pay more attention to us, what’s wrong with that! Am I wrong!" Chelsea shouted crazily.
Stephen hid in the corner in fear, bursting into tears.
"Stop crying! Your dad doesn’t want us anymore!" Chelsea shouted irritably.
To keep Chase Sinclair under control, she gave birth to this child despite everyone’s objections.
She even gave up her dignity...
Yet Chase Sinclair just trampled all over her!
"He’s seeing other won out there!" Chelsea said in a muffled voice.
Over the years, Chase Sinclair had countless won outside, all of them being dancers.
Ha... did he really think she didn’t know what Chase Sinclair was thinking?
Wasn’t it just because he couldn’t forget Yvette!
Tonight’s family feast, Chase Sinclair originally used the excuse of being busy with work to avoid returning to the Grant Family. But once he heard Yvette would be there, he instantly changed his tune and decided against all odds to attend the family feast!
Ha, what irony.
The destructive power of a white moonlight is truly imnse.
Chelsea’s eyes darkened, filled with growing resentnt towards Yvette.
Back in school days, to ruin Yvette’s chance to perform, Chelsea had once placed blades in Yvette’s pointe shoes. Even though blood soaked the shoes, Yvette persisted and completed the entire dance.
Originally, she planned to ruin Yvette but inadvertently gave her all the recognition.
And Chase Sinclair, it was during that ti that he deeply buried Yvette in his heart.
...
At the Grant Family’s, the family banquet.
Ethan Grant entered with Yvette holding Sumrs in her arms, startling the Grant Family servants.
Oh my... Yvette really is a seductress, completely captivating the family eldest master.
"Yvette!" In the living room, Chase Sinclair got up nervously and ran over upon seeing Yvette following Ethan.
"What are you doing here!" Jayden Grant frowned, questioning Yvette.
"Are you blind?" Ethan took Yvette’s hand. "You all should address her as sister-in-law."
